Enjoy glamping in our optional 2017 19' retro style camper with a bathroom aJust 35 minutes west of Loveless Cafe' in Nashville and 20 minutes south of the Dickson exit at I40. The 48 acre campground has just 3 big tent sites for more seclusion and is almost all old forest with wide trails and huge old growth trees. There is about a 1/2 acre of field to park in between the road and the creek if you don't have an off road vehicle. The rest is woods. Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are separated by the driveway and about 150' apart but a bridge connects the two if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect for privacy and companionship. Expand the pictures to a full screen as you scroll so the description will show up at the bottom of the picture. Not all pictures are on the property but describe close places to visit as well. FIREWOOD: Split wood is available upon request and sold in the area (if it's available at the time) or any fallen dead wood from the forest is free. $7.00 for a 20" bundle. Please let us know ahead of time or order it on the site. SITE 1: The nicer of the two sites along the creek, has granite counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: Our retro style 2017 option on the other side of the creek with stairs and stones to cross the creek. Sometimes the walking stones get washed out. 30 amp. 240 and 120 volt plugs. Click on additional fees for camper electrical hook up. SITE 2: Also along side the 30' creek. There is a round steel fire pit surrounded with wrought iron chairs, a separate picnic table, granite countertop work space and a small grill. 2 fairly flat areas for tents. Set your chairs in the creek in front of your site. The clear cold water is a great place to relax and cool off or watch crawfish, minnows and salamanders and the occasional blue herron. 120V and string lights. Parking is a little tight unless you're in a Jeep of more off road vehicle that can park up the hill a bit. SITE 3: "Still Hollow" is more private and located right in the middle valley of the property where a different spring fed creek runs down the wooded valley. There is no electricity but you can still enjoy the sound of small cascading waterfalls and a creek that runs along the side of the site for a relaxing sleep. There is a granite countertop, charcoal grill and a fire ring. A small round wrought iron table and 4 chairs are there for a place to eat lunch. The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd or Greer Rd for the serious off roaders. 4 wheel drive may be necessary but a Hyundai car entered through the creek in 2 wheel drive. It was dry though. STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights. CHECK IN: Check in can be as early as like if the present campers have checked out. You can always hang out elsewhere on the property and start your day to explore and hike till they leave. Just let us know in advance. And you can stay all day the day of check out but you may have to pack up and park elsewhere if other campers need the spot. If not. Stay till dark. PHOTOS: EXPAND THE PHOTOS TO A SINGLE VIEW! Some photos are of nearby attractions. You can see the description of each photo and which site is in the picture when you expand them. VEHICLE TYPE AND PARKING: In order to drive up into the campsite, you may need a 4x4 vehicle but definitely need ground clearance. Pull in, drive down the grass road and over the small creek, put it in park at the barn and go stretch your legs on the 4o+ acres surrounding. During the day, feel welcome to walk the serene meadows or take a cleared trail up the ridge to the treehouse! Don't be surprised to be greeted by all kinds of wildlife including deer, turkey, foxes, or our goofy, fun-loving Golden Doodle named "Shme." If walking isn't your thing, you are welcome to drive around (4wd recommended) to go scout out where you'd like to set up camp for the night. If you prefer more peace and privacy, there are two beautiful meadows to choose from which both reach deeper into the property. If you'd prefer the comfort of additional shelter, you are welcome to park and/or set yourself up at the barn instead (which is a little closer to the main road). There is power to the barn - providing light, 30AMP power for RV hookup, as well as an electrical receptacle that you can run your extension chords from. For the extra adventurous - you may want to take a hike up "Thornbush Trail," which follows the ridge right up the middle of the property and has beautiful views of both meadows to either side. Or, for a more direct route, take a walk right up our dirt access road to the upper ridge, where you can peek through the treeline for beautiful elevated views eastward toward Columbia. Our treehouse (in progress) is located right at the top of the access road. Though the treehouse has not yet been completed, feel free to climb the 20' ladder up the inside of the hollowed out trunk and pop your head out the top! It sure makes a great photo! Come back to the barn area in the evening to lounge in the hammock, hang out around the picnic table, or cook dinner and roast some marshmallows over the wood burning fire pit with cooking grill attachment (fireside tools & 1 bundle of firewood provided). One filtered and cooled 5 gallon portable Igloo water cooler will also be provided and placed on the picnic table outside the barn. One rolling 96 gallon covered trash bin will be placed inside the barn (please bag your trash). "Luggable Loo" portable compost toilet is also available for use inside the barn. Tho cell & wifi are spotty here on the farm, we will provide one walkie talkie during your stay for direct communication with the main residence, should there be any issues or needs that arise. On the flip side, privacy is respected and use of the electronics is completely at your discretion! For recreation (each within 15-20 minutes of the farm): 1. I used to imagine cabins speckling its landscape and story’s being told by travelers from far off places! What a great spot! The site and surrounding community are beautiful and peaceful. We spent several days here and worked remotely. The wi-fi was fast and reliable making this a great space for teleworkers looking for a dose of nature to break up the workday. We enjoyed long walks on the surrounding dirt roads and quiet nights around the camp fire. This place was everything we could have asked for!

Moonlight Ridge is one of our largest campsites! It has picnic table and a fire pit and plenty of places to park and pitch a tent. The views from Moonlight Ridge are lovely. The elevation is over 700 feet. There are two hiking trails near this campsite. One trail is moderate while the other has a very steep hill and then levels off nicely. This campsite has great views overlooking the valley.

Jennifer’s land is perfect if you wanna get away from it all. There were plenty of campsites to choose from.

This is the view from Sunny Shire, which is campsite #2. It has a large fire pit and a picnic table for your use. It is in a very peaceful and quiet location. There is no cell signal here. If you need to use the Wi-Fi, you may park in the parking lot at the host’s cabin. Firewood is $10 a bundle and can be delivered to your campsite if we are notified in advance.

We had a great experience camping on Lora's land. She welcomed us in with her husband and showed us around the property. I paid for some of her home made bug spray which worked extremely well and is all natural. The property was private, quiet, and clean. They had a bathroom and water, an outdoor kitchen, fresh eggs, fresh goat milk, well behaved animals, beautiful award winning goats. She made us a cup of coffee in the morning, provided firewood, amazing spring water. The tent was clean and warm, she provided us with blankets and basic essentials. Beautiful outdoor shower. She allowed me to take some photos on her property. Great time.

Weekend Trip to Kahu Farm

We went for a night out. Call us crazy cause we didn't drive but about 15 minutes. We went glamping for the first time. If you haven't I do recommend it. We had a nice tent with the softest queen size bed ever built on a platform. Nice portable potty in a small tent right outside. A fire ring that they provided the wood for. A double hammock and a dinning outside table. If that wasn't enough a short walk on a path would take you to the outside kitchen with anything you could need. Also provide indoor plumbing with a huge shower. The host was amazing. Spend our morning on their front porch just talking. The kids can see chickens and goats. They have 2 doggies and the most interesting bird that talks and sings. They also offer kayaking where they drop you off and pick you up. We will definitely be going back even being so close to home. It's just the getaway on the edge of Lewis and Lawrence county that gives you the feeling of being in a mountain setting.. I wish I would had taken more pictures of the amazing farm but I did not. I will next time for sure. We booked through hip camp. Definitely recommend for a night out. Also they do have some solar power inside the tent. Last night it stormed and was cold out. But inside was dry and super warm.

Weekend Trip to HeartStone Campground

Dan and Mandy were excellent hosts. We camped in campsite 10 which was big enough for two families with dogs. There was plenty of firewood to be gathered. Dan and Mandy were responsive, extremely accommodating, and checked in the right amount. They are very passionate about their campground and it shows. The bathrooms were well lit and fully stocked. Look forward to coming back here with the kids! There is a swimming hole on site but the water was low due to lack of rain recently. It was still knee high and felt refreshing. The kids loved walking through the water. The star gazing at night was incredible. There is no city lights. Will definitely come back!

I only needed a place to park for a couple of nights, but the setting was perfect; private, flat, solid ground to park on, fire ring, chairs, water, etc. all exactly as Matthew described, and communication with the host was prompt, detailed and easy. If I'm back in the area I will 100% camp here again.

We’d been stalking this place for a while now and we’re so happy to finally make it out to The Bluffs. This place was so wonderful and such a gem. Access was easy and you can pull very close to the camping spot right by the stream. I spent the majority of my two days swimming in the crystal clear swimming pools. The water was chilly, but not unbearable and so worth it. The fish were swimming all around me and it felt like paradise. There was grill close to the camping site and a picnic table, firepit, and chairs. The portapotty had recently been cleaned. It’s the perfect spot for car camping or for folks who don’t want to hike in to a spot. There’s a really nice deck with power and firewood if you need to purchase more. There is a road you can see from the site, but it’s not busy and you feel like you’re secluded without feeling totally isolated. We will definitely be returning! I’d live here if I could. Thanks for everything, William!

Host was beyond accommodating while we had our stay here. cabin for wifi and charging was very helpful. there is a kayak resort with shuttle in pinewood 40 minutes away if you’re looking for a fun activity. fox trot was very easy to find and peaceful. will be going again!
