We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin.
When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there.

You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area.
Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

We are uniquely situated on the edge of the Tennessee Cumberland Plateau and the Tennessee river valley. We are currently offering 4 treehouse dwellings to share our peaceful land full of God's promises. The dwellings are spaced far enough apart for privacy yet not to far of a walk to the common area where the kitchen and shower are. You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area.
Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

Five Guest Glamping Cabins (three with queen-sized beds and two with two twin beds) are available on-site at the Haven Village in East Tennessee. Each cabin is limited to two guests and there is no additional fee for the second person. It was a lovely escape from the city. Just me and my pup, who unfortunately doesn't care for other dogs, and the owners were super kind about putting their sweet pups up so she could have the freedom to live her best life too.
The treehouse is the perfect size and has everything you need to just relax. The porch faces away from the other sites so even with another group there, it didn't feel like I was in a fishbowl. The hiking trails are nice and there's plenty of them to just escape into the woods.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and if you're just trying to escape the noise for a chill spot to light a fire and stare into the void for a while, I highly recommend it.

Had a great time at the cabin. We came in the off season on a rainy weekend that turned pretty cold, but overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very easy to find, had plenty of firewood (absolute must, no insulation) and secluded enough from the main part of the property to really provide that peace and quiet we were looking for. It could use a little tlc, but again, we came in the off season so it's hard to take any points off for that. Would absolutely stay here again.

2 nights at Hiawassee Glamping
We had an awesome stay at the container tree house. Wasn't sure what to expect but we were extremely happy. The view is amazing and the house its self is cozy especially for a couple looking for a great weekend. My wife had an amazing birthday and went on and on about how great the place was. The hot tub looking out into the mountains with the lake below is pretty epic!
Brian the host gave us tons of recommendations and even helped us find a mountain biking trail where my wife got to have her first ride and now she's hooked.
We will definitely be coming back and will most likely try all three units on the property as they all look killer. I almost don't want to write this review so that we can keep this a secret for ourselves.

Weekend Trip to Luxe Tent/Private Bathhouse/Wifi/AC
This was definitely one of the best clamping experiences we have had! Alisha has thought of every detail! We loved the sink for washing dishes, the close and clean bathroom with a hot, relaxing shower, and the coffee and coffee maker for the morning. The heated blankets were a must with the weather, and helped keep us so cozy! I loved how we did not have to bring pots, pans, soap, etc making our trip so much easier to pack for. We went to the Lake Ends Restaurant which was so fun (BYOB!), hiked nearby, sat by the lake and read our books, and went on the Andrew's Valley Railroad experience. These were all so fun and relaxing! The only thing was we were very close to our neighboring glamping tent with little privacy. It would be nice to glamp with a friend in the neighboring site. Otherwise, it was such as pleasant stay, and we will definitely return!

Had a great stay at Turkey Creek Campground in October 2025 to see the leaves change in the mountains. It was the cleanest Campground we've ever stayed at, the bathrooms were impeccable. There's not much of a creek, but it is pretty close to some fantastic Rivers. Rick is an outstanding host, we had forgot our water hose, and he longest one no questions asked. Will definitely be staying there again five stars

We just got back from a weekend at Henson Cove and our family had the best time. The place is peaceful, clean, and has that quiet mountain charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. We spent our weekend fishing at the lake and really enjoyed the on-site trails.
Evenings by the fire were our favorite. We roasted marshmallows, watched the stars, and enjoyed how quiet it was without all the noise of everyday life.
If you’re looking for a nice, relaxing spot to spend time outdoors, Henson Cove is a great choice. We’re already planning to come back.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Mulberry. We were only there for stop and go since we had plans in Ellijay but we are stoked to come back. The campsite is great with nice bathrooms with hot showers. The staff for us was the highlight. SUPER friendly and hard working folks. And if you’re going to stay here take advantage of the meals. The dining hall is so cool. Make sure you’re on time though! The staff wears a lot of hats and they are hard working.

My stay at Turkey Creek was outstanding! The host was amazingly personable, super helpful and always available. The site was as clean a tent site as I have ever stayed. The bathhouse was immaculate. I have never seen such a clean and functional campground bathhouse as I have at Turkey Creek. I used the washateria which was also very clean. There is a great comfortable feel to the place. Love the coffee room and adjoining deck to spend some downtime. Will absolutely return to Turkey Creek. Thank you for an amazing camping experience.

Kaleigh’s property was a big hit with our crew. My 8 year old girl said it was the best campsite she’s been to. Loved how quiet it was with hardly anybody around. The lake we had all to ourselves and was great for fishing and swimming. The kids definitely had fun with the trampoline and zip line. We had to rig something up for the zip line so the kids didn’t smack in to the tree, otherwise it was good fun!
