This hidden paradise has a waterfall that used to have a mill on it in the early 1900's. There are cliffs on each side of the creek making it the perfect spot for serene relaxation. Following upstream is an assortment of spots to pitch a tent. The most notable sites are surrounded by hemlock tree's and is peaceful when birds chirp over the small rapids echoing from the large overhang
*I am in the process of making multiple sites but until I do so it is first come first serve. There are multiple sites at main campsite and along creek, I've had a private event of thirty people staying at once. There are also smaller spots next to waterfall, uphill near cliff and I've had people go below falls for some complete wilderness (blocked by gorge and waterfall). With this being said, I do offer private bookings and accommodate special events!
*I travel for work, so I won't always be here, but I will send directions and details after confirmation and make sure all is savvy during. Please be respectful to one and another and let me know asap if any issues arise but truthfully everyone has been amazing and I thoroughly enjoy meeting and getting to know everyone!

We have added multiple tree swings throughout the forest.
We are uniquely situated on the edge of the Tennessee Cumberland Plateau and the Tennessee river valley. We are currently offering 4 treehouse dwellings to share our peaceful land full of God's promises. The dwellings are spaced far enough apart for privacy yet not to far of a walk to the common area where the kitchen and shower are. You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area.
Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

For more conventional needs, Cookeville Center is a short 20-minute drive away, offering grocery stores, restaurants, and supply shops. The Property:
Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek.
We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay.
There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well.
We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion.
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am.
Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property.
Tent in the Trees Listing:
Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek.
The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink!
Primitive Camp Site:
The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite.
No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed.

The property is in Cumberland County, TN, is mostly wooded, and the Caney Fork River is on the property. River access is available with a short/moderate hike. The location is outside of the nearest town by about 20 minutes. A dollar general and gas station are about a 10 minute drive.
Suggestions:
1. Bug spray may be helpful.
2. Bring extra firewood if you plan to cook over the fire. There is plenty of pine if you would like to gather it yourself but very little hardwood downed. I will provide a few starter logs.
3. Bring water if you are opposed to drinking well water. There is an outdoor faucet close to the campsites for well water.
This is a bring in, take out experience...trash, towels, sanitary waste, etc. There is an additional $10 charge for leaving litter- this includes cigarettes.

2-acre country setting. There’s a small creek with sitting area. A gas grill and electric griddle are available.
There are two 50-amp RV connections with water. Each RV spot has a table, chairs, and fire ring. Currently, there is no dump station, but both north and south on I-75 there are truck stops with dump stations less than 10 miles away.
There is plenty of tent/self contained camper space with morning shade and afternoon sun in the front. Those are farthest from the portable toilet and wash station. There are 3 tent spots with mostly shade in the back closest to portable toilet and wash station. Tent campers have access to the gas grill or the common area fire pit or fired grill.
Donkey trail rides are offered by neighbors at “Donkey Listener”. Enjoy scenic rides to popular attractions and roads such as the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Bald River Falls. There anre many waterfalls, hiking trails, rivers, and countryside. Also nearby are plenty of water activities, such as paddle boating, canoeing, whitewater rafting, fishing, and boating. Tourism is endless: come enjoy East Tennessee.
I’m a poultry hobbyist, so only dogs under 12 pounds are allowed and they must be leashed. There are free-range chickens, ducks, turkeys, and two small dogs on the property. I also raise Red Golden Phoenix and Tennessee Red quail. You are responsible for damages if your pet kills livestock.
This is a laid-back place run by a one-legged chicken tender. A sense of humor is required.

We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Creekside Activities
Spend your days cooling off in natural swimming holes, floating peacefully down the creek, or casting a line for smallmouth and red eye bass. The area is teeming with wildlife—you may spot otters, mink, deer, and a variety of bird species from songbirds to eagles. In spring and early summer, wildflowers carpet the forest floor, adding a splash of color to your hikes.

For more conventional needs, Cookeville Center is a short 20-minute drive away, offering grocery stores, restaurants, and supply shops. The Property:
Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek.
We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay.
There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well.
We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion.
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am.
Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property.
Tent in the Trees Listing:
Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek.
The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink!
Primitive Camp Site:
The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite.
No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed.

The property is in Cumberland County, TN, is mostly wooded, and the Caney Fork River is on the property. River access is available with a short/moderate hike. The location is outside of the nearest town by about 20 minutes. A dollar general and gas station are about a 10 minute drive.
Suggestions:
1. Bug spray may be helpful.
2. Bring extra firewood if you plan to cook over the fire. There is plenty of pine if you would like to gather it yourself but very little hardwood downed. I will provide a few starter logs.
3. Bring water if you are opposed to drinking well water. There is an outdoor faucet close to the campsites for well water.

2-acre country setting. There’s a small creek with sitting area. A gas grill and electric griddle are available.
There are two 50-amp RV connections with water. Each RV spot has a table, chairs, and fire ring. Currently, there is no dump station, but both north and south on I-75 there are truck stops with dump stations less than 10 miles away.
There is plenty of tent/self contained camper space with morning shade and afternoon sun in the front. Those are farthest from the portable toilet and wash station. There are 3 tent spots with mostly shade in the back closest to portable toilet and wash station. Tent campers have access to the gas grill or the common area fire pit or fired grill.
Donkey trail rides are offered by neighbors at “Donkey Listener”. Enjoy scenic rides to popular attractions and roads such as the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Bald River Falls. There anre many waterfalls, hiking trails, rivers, and countryside. Also nearby are plenty of water activities, such as paddle boating, canoeing, whitewater rafting, fishing, and boating. Tourism is endless: come enjoy East Tennessee.
I’m a poultry hobbyist, so only dogs under 12 pounds are allowed and they must be leashed. There are free-range chickens, ducks, turkeys, and two small dogs on the property. I also raise Red Golden Phoenix and Tennessee Red quail. You are responsible for damages if your pet kills livestock.
This is a laid-back place run by a one-legged chicken tender. A sense of humor is required.

My partner and I showed up as the sun was setting after finding this site on iOverlander, and Amber kindly showed us around and got us settled right away. We had a beautiful site to ourselves right on the river and enjoyed the peace and quiet under the stars. Amber supplied us with lots of firewood, definitely worth the add-on. We only wished we would’ve arrived earlier to see the farm animals! The next morning we felt so grateful to take hot showers in a clean bathroom. We will definitely come back again if we find ourselves in the area. Thank you Amber!

We had the BEST time staying here for a quick weekend camping trip. This spot is seriously such a hidden gem… peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to unplug.
We only stayed one night, but it was exactly what we needed. The campsite was clean, easy to access, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable while still getting that true outdoor experience.
The scenery was absolutely stunning… especially the waterfall! It made the whole trip feel like something out of a dream. We spent our time exploring, relaxing, and just enjoying being outside without distractions.
This was the perfect reminder that even one night can completely change your mood. We’ll 100% be back and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for an easy, peaceful getaway not too far from home.

Weekend Trip to Awakening Adventures
It was a lovely escape from the city. Just me and my pup, who unfortunately doesn't care for other dogs, and the owners were super kind about putting their sweet pups up so she could have the freedom to live her best life too.
The treehouse is the perfect size and has everything you need to just relax. The porch faces away from the other sites so even with another group there, it didn't feel like I was in a fishbowl. The hiking trails are nice and there's plenty of them to just escape into the woods.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and if you're just trying to escape the noise for a chill spot to light a fire and stare into the void for a while, I highly recommend it.

We camped for 13 days. I would recommend Mrs. Amber and her staff a hundred times over. Herself and her staff Ms. Abbey and Mr. Payten are amazing people. First our battery died and Mrs Amber had stepped away from the site So while she was away she contacted Ms. Abby at her other job ,to come and jump us . When Ms. Abby arrived it was astonishing to see a well round and grounded 18 yr old these days who would leave there job just to give someone a jump. Thanks again Ms Abby. The bathroom was warm showers were hot yes hot in the winter months. We stayed with Mrs. Amber 13 days beautiful sight even when it rained I got in 2 days of fishing the best time ever. If you don't go see Mrs Amber and her staff You would miss out on a lot canoeing, honey, you name it Mrs. Amber has including but not limited to amazing and friendly neighbors we even took long walks. Compassionate, polite, respectful. You get all the bells and whistles with this camp grounds They treat like a human being and not like $$$$ dollar signs. She has electric cabins and wagons, RV hookups We can't say enough about This site Other than. CAMP, RV OR GLAMP HERE YOU WON'T REGRET YOUR CHOICE OH YES SHE HAS FRESH MEAT,,EGGS AND THE fresh produce is down the street with Walmart 6 miles from you on your way to Walmart you bypass a huge water park. Had a great time at the cabin. We came in the off season on a rainy weekend that turned pretty cold, but overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very easy to find, had plenty of firewood (absolute must, no insulation) and secluded enough from the main part of the property to really provide that peace and quiet we were looking for. It could use a little tlc, but again, we came in the off season so it's hard to take any points off for that. Would absolutely stay here again.
