This property was purchased by my husband and I in 1980 from Margret Cetera mother of Peter Cetera lead singer of the band Chicago. When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines.The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. My husband and I actually enjoyed living full time in the cabin for a period of 5 years before returning to reside in the main house. The cabin consists of 1 large common space room with sitting area and kitchen. The antique farm sink has hot and cold running water. Also available is a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, hot plate, coffee pot and portable dishwasher. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. For a quiet night of movie enjoyment, bring your favorite movies and make use of the DVD/VCR machine and wide screen television. This beautiful place has been in my family for 3 generations. Since I was a child I loved having campfires and hiking. I used to imagine cabins speckling its landscape and story’s being told by travelers from far off places! Now that I am owner I can and will build those dreams and share them with as many folks as come to visit us! There’s 60 acres of hills for hiking a peaceful creek for meditation or just stick your feet in! A beautiful bamboo grove where we plan to build a camping platform in the very near future and you’ll be able to sleep in tha bamboo forest! We’ve come a long way in the last year, we have platforms, tents we can set up as glampers for those that love the idea but don’t want to have to set it all up. There’s several old buildings and unfinished projects left behind from my father we have a series of small cabins we will be building with them over the next 2 years it’ll be called “Boho Bottom”. We also host events, so far they are few and small but so much fun!! There is currently one communal bathroom with several more due to be built in the next year or so. The amount of time, care and attention that Keith's put into bringing the place back to life is impressive. This was a lovely one room historic log cabin with an attached very nice bathroom. We had everything we needed for a one week stay.
We brought our Insta pot to cook with, but he also supplied a very good set up with a gas or charcoal grill to cook on.
It was a beautiful and great location. The host was exceptional, and we enjoyed visiting with him daily.
We would definitely stay there again!

Our host Ashley was wonderful. The cabin/bunkhouse felt new and was exactly as described. It has a great atmosphere with a wood burning stove, kerosene lamps, a big front porch with rocking chairs, a fire pit, and a grill. There’s no power but we did have cell service on our phones.
We got to meet all the beautiful horses; they were friendly and happy to be loved on, which made for a really special experience. We had a trail ride scheduled, but it git rained out.
Overall we had a great time and plan to go back in the fall.

Weekend Trip to Kahu Farm
Kahu Farm was delightful, and Lora and her husband were very thoughtful and accommodating hosts. The tent was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the farm with our hosts along with their goats, chickens, parrot, and dogs. We were also able to borrow their kayaks and time for a drop-in and pick-up morning on the river! Lora’s all natural bug spray and soaps were an added luxury too. We definitely hope to come back and stay again soon.

What a hidden gem! We stopped here on our way home and were pleasantly surprised by how pristine everything was. Darren was a thoughtful host who had fresh eggs waiting for us in the cabin. Between the gorgeous grounds, morning fishing, and evening trip to the river, it was the perfect place to unwind. There is nothing quite like the view from the front porch rocking chairs. We loved every second and 10/10 highly recommend staying here.

This place was magical. You sleep in what was the original kitchen on the homestead, complete with a big rock fireplace, which you are welcome to use.
There is also a corn crib and a one room schoolhouse on the property along with the original log cabin.
