this place was perfect for our 25ft rv and our dogs! they enjoyed the wide open space and were very interested in the goats and chickens. the space was a little less private than i would prefer but it wasn’t an issue at all. robert was very nice and attentive, we loved this site and will definitely be back!

A charming little cabin on a beautiful property! I stayed here with my three dogs, and they loved having the space to roam freely. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and the modern bathroom was a nice touch. Both the main room and the bathroom have their own window unit. Highly recommend! The property is very beautiful, and animals are so sweet and the family is friendly and are wonderful hosts! We look forward to visiting more often. We rode horses down through the creek and had a huge bonfire all night. We stayed in one of their other cabins they offered us onsite, it was very comfortable. There happen to be 5 kittens on property when we were there and they were so small and playful. This place is so close to the city, easy for a 1-3 night stay. Thank you Lisa and Gary! This is a tranquil, very private alternative to crowded, noisy park campgrounds. We stayed just one night in a tent on a cross country trip. The chickens and goats made us feel right at home and would be fun if you are traveling with young children. Communication with Robert was always prompt and accurate and we felt welcome and safe in this space.

3 nights at Historic Log Cabin

This place is just magical. So much history and if you want to know the story, just ask Keith! Who, btw, is an incredible human who will make you feel comfortable and completely at home, but also away from it. Amenities, there is not a kitchen, but there is a mini fridge and a microwave. There aren’t any cooking implements, or dishes, but there is a propane grill, hibachi (charcoal), and HUGE firepit, and if you need some cookware, Keith can hook you up (not to blow up his spot). The bed is super comfortable, don’t try lighting a fire unless the flu in the fireplace is wide open(ask us how we know), the shower gets hot, two ac units keep it super comfortable, and there’s a spider we named “ole’ 4 legs” (she has 8 legs, we just called her that for short) that builds a web on the porch each evening that is magical to watch. Other than it being perfect, it’s even more perfect when it rains. The front porch is the perfect vantage point for the mist relaxing time you’ve EVER had listening to the rain. Ok, I’m going to stop before I give away too much of the secret and we can never book it again. That being said, it’s terrible and you’ll hate it. Stay away. 😜 jk it’s amazing. Thank you, Keith!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Dog Ranch

We had the best time at Sacred Dog Ranch this past weekend and feel like we made lifelong friends with Lisa and Gary. Our dog, Sage, played with his fellow Dal new friends, my daughter rode Fancy the gorgeous horse and we felt like instant family. It’s right outside Nashville and remote enough we didn’t feel like we were in a cookie cutter suburb. Lisa was so welcoming and generous with her authentic self. My kids and I loved our visit and will be back.

Sacred Dog Ranch is unreal! The hosts are the kindest people ever. We got to ride horses, hang out with the sweetest dogs, and even feed a fox (!!). The whole place feels open and peaceful—outdoor shower, hot tub, fresh tomatoes from the garden—it’s just the perfect spot to reset and recharge. Already dreaming about going back.

Sacred Dog Ranch!!! Lisa and her family have a lovely piece of land with many stunning Buddha statues that welcome you as you drive in the tree lined driveway. The serenity continues onto their gardens and hip camp sites. We were welcomed by a gaggle of fun dogs! The artistic grounds and murals were a delight! How lucky we were to stay a night with them! We recommend this spot and will certainly be back! Y’all are THE BEST 🥰

Awesome stay.. the beautiful, private surroundings, along with the quaint sights and sounds of a few chickens and goats make this hipcamp a great find. **Additionally, and a big perk and unique to any hipcamp I have stayed. Robert was a Chef in his previous life but continues to share his love for food as he offers dinner service which will exceed your expectations / compares to the very best restaurants we have dined. Robert is an excellent host. Recommend highly / will stay again!
