This place was AMAZING! Exactly what I wanted. Not near anyone. Perfect for my antisocial self 😉. It was just me and a friend, but this place has a ton of space. I love how it as the essentials for everything. I want to bring my grown kids back. They will love it.

We really enjoyed our time at the farm! The chickens were adorable and their eggs were fantastic. The whole place is beautiful and we will definitely be coming back.

George is an excellent host and the property has so much to offer. Wether you consider yourself a primitive camper and backpacker or prefer a more laid back weekend with amenities and comfort, Georges property is well equipped to satisfy anyone's ideal "weekend in the woods".

This was the perfect spot for my son and I. We were looking for a place close to everything (Cloudland Canyon and Lookout Mountain) and this was perfect. The owner has this place set up perfectly. There is a barn area that has a table and sink/prep area (a lot more technically if you don't bring your own stuff), a rustic cabin with electric and a full open air bathroom with an on demand water heater and normal flush toilet (more posh than we usually go for). Also two fire pit areas, plenty of trees to hang hammocks and if your adventurous on the back of the land is the connector trail to The Moonshine Trails. You could also walk to Lulu Lake if open (which has limited open days which we weren't lucky enough). There is a working horse farm next door as explained and entertaining to watch, but they were no disturbance what-so-ever. For those that are thinking about it, there was also no smell. Saw the owner out there leading some groups, but they were to themselves. The barn cats Lucky and Boo were around each day. My son loved hanging out with them. They were very affectionate. We spent a couple days just relaxing and didn't even leave. So very peaceful! Overall I just loved this place and likely will try to make my way back again.

4 nights at Andy & Ana's Cute Little Farm

Another incredible experience! Last year we visited Andy and Anna’s for a reset and this year more of the same. Last year we wish we had stayed longer and this year we did stay longer yet it still didn’t feel long enough. This is a special place where you can experience nature and all the things you love about camping but without the work. I personally love cooking outside and enjoyed doing that for most every meal. The fire pit is huge, cozy and inviting. The space is so well thought out and even on a rainy day it is bright and airy with plenty to do. I can go on and on but ultimately the care and hospitality that Andy and Anna give to the experience and property is rare which is why visiting their little farm will hopefully be a yearly thing for us (hopefully more)!

This was the best off grid cabin we have ever stayed at. Directions were spot on, very accommodating with fire wood and propane stove. Will absolutely be back again next time we are in Tennessee.

Our family had a blast. Very private and clean and the creek was awesome. Easy to find and simple to get access to the cabin. I know they don't promise to have split wood available, but they did and it was appreciated.

Throughly enjoyed our stay. Krys was wonderful and was very accommodating. Got several visits and some quality time with her pup. Loved to hear the rooster that couldn’t tell time. Apparently has its own clock. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay at Krys’ loft if available. Great location close to Fall Creek Falls.

5 nights at Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

Incredibly beautiful campsite and literally everything you would ever need to have a great trip. Insane waterfall that you can hike to directly from the campsite and the host is super grateful to help you at any time or give suggestions for anything you would need. The land is not far from most major stores like walmart or publix which goes perfect with the large open air kitchen in the barn. There was also so much space in the cabin to fit people and a big plot just outside for those that want to pitch tents and hang hammocks. Would love to come back again soon and keep exploring the mountain, the scenery was endless.

This is the second time I've been car camping on Chris's land. It is a gift of solitude and beauty. He is incredibly gracious and welcoming. I'll be back.

Stone Branch Cabin is a completely off the grid with no electricity or running water located in a wooded, rural area on Waldens Ridge close to several segments of the Cumberland Trail. There are ample opportunities for day trips to hiking trails, swimming holes, waterfalls, climbing spots, and more. The cabin is nestled on 5.7 acres of wooded land complete with 2 wet weather streams. Just off the covered back porch you'll find an outdoor fire pit, chairs, an outdoor kitchen with a rain collection barrel for washing dishes, and a picnic table illuminated by solar string lights. We have one disc golf goal and a croquet set if yard games are your thing. Or simply relax and play fetch with your dog and watch your cat play on the set of cat steps leading up their very own cat-sized cabin. Other amenities include basic cookery and dinnerware, a Coleman stove (please bring your own propane), an outhouse, board games, art supplies, local hiking guides, trash service, and more.

Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It over 900 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. Take a hike on miles of trails comprised of forest paths, old wagon roads, or coal mining roads. If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir. If you are a history buff, you may be interested in discovering previous caretakers from the late 1800's and early 1900's in nearby cemeteries. The camp ground is on top of a mountain, and you will have to go through a locked gate and drive over a mile and half on a bumpy gravel/dirt road. You will be most comfortable in a vehicle that is suitable for rugged terrain. Day trips less than an hour away include the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Nickajack Lake and Bat Cave among many others.
