We've stayed here several times, and love it - is a sprawling, ramshackle farm that is a great place to spend the night camping with our trailer with our dogs. There's one or two campsites with electric and water hookups (that you may or may not be able to find) The land is somewhat unimproved with lots of mud and ruts and junk and holes (be careful). There are cars and campers strewn about. The pigs are very friendly 😁 We saw a family of bobcats crossing Eatons Creek road out front. It's SO close to downtown and the development is encroaching closer and closer - we hope it will stay wild and undeveloped forever.

Weekend Trip to Chatty Heifer Farm

My partner and I made a last minute decision to go camping when our schedules changed. Patti was extremely friendly and communicative immediately when we made our reservation. I really enjoyed hearing from her. The campsite is not very far from Nashville and was a perfect getaway. The campsite has three guard dogs that are SUPER sweet. They were very playful with our 1 and 1/2 year old German Shepherd (who still thinks he’s, like, a 6 month old). We also felt very happy that these dogs were guarding us during the night. The road is somewhat close to the campsite but it didn’t have heavy traffic. This site was perfect for the three of us looking at a short, impromptu night away from home! The creek and birds were lovely to wake up to and we came home the next day cheerful and relaxed. We were at Site 2, but Site 3 also seemed great for a larger group.

Weekend Trip to The Home Place

We had a great time at Hawk's Nest. It was so peaceful and private. We packed a lot of our camping gear, just in case, but barely need to take anything out of the car. Our dogs loved running around and exploring. The bedroom was comfortable and we stayed warm even though the nights were chilly. The location is perfect for hiking. We were able to make it to both Burgess Falls and Rock Island. We hope to make it back and stay longer next time.

We tent camped on the property. Our host was super friendly and one the massive Pirenesse dogs guarded our site all night. Really basic but super nice site.

4 nights at East Nashville Oasis

Where do I begin? This place is so cool. It’s very chill, you have space to do your own thing or hang out with others down at the communal area. Our host marade is so nice. He frequently checks in and makes sure we’re all good for the day. Hes always working hard to improve the place. Recently he set up a portable shower station. Theres an outhouse, tiki torches, lovely areas to memorialize those you love. It’s clean here, the air smells good and Theres really no obnoxious noises. All you hear is traffic from the road and it’s like white noise. Yall come check this place out, it’s so cool, and honestly if you forgot something, im sure Mardae could help you out. The place has grills, fire pits, wood to gather, he also let us use another tarp. 5 stars for this place for sure.

1 night at Benjamin's RV Sanctuary

This is a tranquil, very private alternative to crowded, noisy park campgrounds. We stayed just one night in a tent on a cross country trip. The chickens and goats made us feel right at home and would be fun if you are traveling with young children. Communication with Robert was always prompt and accurate and we felt welcome and safe in this space.
