Wiseman Ridge is a boutique micro campground for RVs only, first opened in July of 2022. Our property adjoins the Blue Ridge Parkway in Linville Falls NC with easy access off NC 221. We offer 5 full hook up RV sites with views of Hawksbill, Table Rock and Humpback Mountains. Micro means we have only a handful of sites but that is where micro ends. Each site is expansive, with large areas to spread out and enjoy the views or play yard games. Unlike typical RV parks our sites are spread out on the ridge top and offer great views and lots of space. Our campground offers a unique camping experience for the RV and outdoors enthusiast. All of our RV sites feature views of the surrounding peaks and have full hook ups with, water, septic and 30 or 50 amp power access, high speed wi-fi access at each site as well as a picnic table and in ground fire pits. Wiseman Ridge provides the peace and quiet of nature at its finest, with easy direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot or by road. Our campground is for conventional travel trailers and motorhomes only. Firewood is provided. WiFi is available. The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our dogs, the chase is on when a deer, squirrel or turkey makes a sudden appearance! During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping. The cabin was very easy to get to and get into, clean, comfortable and well appointed. You really had the conveniences of home, while still feeling completely remote. Hot tub is great, sunset is better, and if you luck out and get a clear night like we did, the stars were breathtaking. Would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Campgrounds at Little Switzerland

I really enjoyed my stay here. It felt safe as a solo female camper and offered a lot of amenities that I wasn't expecting. There were complimentary hot dogs and chilli inside the club house, which was so nice and warm. A bathroom with toiletries in case you forget something and more drinks and snacks. The craft beer on tap was delicious and I even got a to go growler to take back to my campsite for a beer around my fire. The walking trails were nice and convenient to get to, with a view of the horses and the sounds of owls hooting as it got darker. I will definitely be coming back here with my kids, who will love the chickens and boardgames/outdoor games. Thank you for the experience!

We traveled as a family of 4 and two dogs and we had a wonderful time at Ocean Blue cabin. Exceptional host and cabin was amazing. We had everything and more to has such a great time. Hiking trail on the property was perfect for our young kids. We took it twice and met friendly cows on top of the hill. Hot tub was a perfect spot for after hike and evening watching the stars! We will definitely come back and bring friends with us!

We had such a great stay! The shower was perfectly warm, the stars were beautiful, and the cidery that Chrissy and Tony built truly made our whole experience. We stayed during a snow fall, so we did not get the full river experience- but even in November the view is beautiful. The little cabin was just enough for my young family of 4 and our dog. Great for the family! We enjoyed the amenities but also being close to hiking which our family loves. The red trail on the campground was fun even with all the down trees (the kids thought of it as ninja obstacles!). We will be back again!

Great place to set up and tent camp, they tree's give you lot's of set up options and the bath house was very nice and close. There are RV spots as well and the folks there were all very nice. Got to meet the owner and his brother and both made sure we had everything we needed as it was a cold wet weekend.

Weekend Trip to Romantic, hot tub, pet friendly

My wife and I loved staying in the Green cabin. The fire pit and hot tub were the best. The cabin was great. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good hot water. The first night we made steaks over a campfire with baked potatoes from the air fryer. The second night we made hot dogs and roasted marshmallows on the campfire. It was a beautiful drive from Knoxville. It was about as close to perfect as you can get. Thank you for the firewood, and thank you for having us.

21 nights at Refugio Entre Pinos

We stayed here for 3 weeks starting in mid October and absolutely loved it! The property is beautiful especially in the fall. The trails through his property were great for hikes. Tracy is a phenomenal host and very friendly. He greeted us and helped us get set up very easily and quickly. We felt like we had a lot of privacy even with his house nearby and neighbors across the street. The property is beautiful especially in the fall and we loved hiking his trails. It was an awesome location with downtown Marion very close, Grayson Highlands State Park (wild ponies!), as well as Mt. Rogers and White Top Mtn (2 highest peaks in VA), Abingdon (cute town), and plenty of waterfall hikes nearby - we checked out Big Tumbling Creek Falls and Comer Creek Falls. Such a gorgeous area!! AND THE STARS! Also I worked remotely and starlink connection was excellent for daily zoom calls. Tracy can provide wifi if you need to use his but we didnt. Can't beat the price with full hookups. I can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back when we're in the area! Many thanks to Tracy!
