Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. Second time staying at Camp Site #2. It’s become our favorite place to be with our family of 4. We love the privacy of the site, the level space for our large tent, the river that’s a perfect mix of stones and sand, and the closeness of having the bathroom/shower building. It fits the bill for our family! Craig is always so responsive so that adds peace of mind should anything come up. Aleah and Mark were friendly, kind, and made our hipcamp experience even better. Aleah gave us great recommendations for both Greenville and Travelers Rest. The site was secluded and clean. It had a fire place, and was a 2-3min walk from where our car was parked. The canopy of trees around our visit was beautiful, the creek was nice- we found tiny fish and frogs. We initially booked 1 night and decided to stay another.

This camp site was fantastic! It’s a little bit of a hike back into the woods, but not terribly far. They provided a wheelbarrow for us to cart our stuff back and we had three large tents and a galley kitchen all set up in no time. The creek is so peaceful. The fire pit is great. Even though it’s accessed through a neighborhood, we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Incredibly peaceful. 10 out of 10 would camp again!

Nice little spot tucked away on the back side of town. Perfect getaway for a day or two. Right on the river so bring your fishing pole. I went during spring break so that evening was a little noisy but not too bad. Enjoyed staying here.

Nice and quiet camp area. Each site is by the river with lots of space between sites. Bathroom facilities were a big plus - large, clean bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. Craig was easy to communicate with and even delivered farm fresh eggs. Loved that our dog could run free by our site.

2 nights at Scotland Pond

We had such a wonderful stay at this Hipcamp spot! The location was incredibly convenient—easy to get to, yet it still felt like a peaceful little escape. It’s also just a short drive to the botanical gardens at Clemson University, which made for a perfect daytime outing. The campsite itself was absolutely beautiful and very private, which we really appreciated. You can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space—they even left fresh flowers and rosemary for us, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch. One of our favorite parts was spending time by the pond, where dragonflies were everywhere—it felt almost magical. In the evenings, the frogs put on a chorus that made the whole place feel even more serene. We were lucky enough to spot a luna moth and even saw some turkeys wandering through, which made the experience feel extra special. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, and well-cared-for place to relax and enjoy nature, this spot is truly a gem. We would absolutely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Black Bear Farm

Black Bear Farms was the perfect stay. My daughter and I had the place to ourselves, it was very clean, easy to find, and so peaceful. Steve was incredibly attentive and flexible, especially when we accidentally picked the wrong spot at first and he was totally fine letting us stay put. We really appreciated the local recommendations and only wish we had more time to explore the area, especially Travelers Rest. Tandem for crepes absolutely lived up to the hype. We’ll definitely be back and would absolutely stay at Black Bear Farms again.
