Really nice place, they even had extra plumbing and parts in case you needed something to hook up, what a great idea to have that there for people that might have broke or forgot something. I love hearing the pig in the morning when it was feeding time for him and also the roosters.

They were such a welcoming host family. Very kind and accommodating. The rv spot is perfect, easy to get in and out. The location is so close to parks, restaurants in Easley (which were great) and greenville is about 30 min away. We will definitely be back and can't recommend David's land enough.

Very cool, secluded camp spot in the forest. Communication and instructions from the host were great, would highly recommend. Even had a short visit from the big, fluffy white dog, was friendly, sniffed around for five minutes then mosied back to the house. If you’re in a 4Runner, truck or campervan make sure you have a way to level out your rig. Thanks!

We loved our camping experience on John’s land. It was peaceful, beautiful. We had all the privacy and seclusion we wanted while at the same time, John was available if we needed anything. we camped on the hill top and at first were bummed that we couldn’t be at the Riverside, but once we got to our campsite, we loved it. We could still hear the river and had a beautiful view of the sunrise. would definitely stay again.

EXCELLENT property. Quiet. The host, John, is friendly and accommodating. Directions are accurate. Property/sites are easy to get to. Both tent sites are directly on the river and spacious. Plenty of trees for shade. If you are looking to fish directly from your site- chose Tent/RV site or there are fishing opportunities further down the bank. I will be returning!

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

The site was scenic right by the river and we'll set for a couple of tents. Awesome views and quiet surroundings. No camp sites were directly adjacent so you won't feel like you're in a group camping environment (like state parks). Super easy to get to. Thanks and I look forward to visiting again.

Weekend Trip to Broken Oak Riverside Getaway

I absolutely loved this spot!! It was perfect for trying what I thought was going to be my first solo camping trip but my best friend came with me. We felt safe being just 2 female campers. It was peaceful and it’s close to town if you forgot something. We got site number 2 and it had a nice size-able beach area. There were spots in the shade under some trees but we chose to set up on the beach with our 2-4 man tents so we could hear the water all night long. I saw in some reviews where people complained about the traffic on hwy 25. We did hear some of the noise but it wasn’t over bearing. It didn’t bother us. We slept peacefully and just loved being able to walk around while walking her dog. She did a little fishing. The water is perfect for kids to play and splash for those that have children. The beach is sandy on one side and had lots of river rocks on the other side. The cute little bathroom was newly build and we could still smell the fresh wood from it. It was very clean, WITH HOT WATER for showering, and a regular flushing toilet!! Those are a huge deals for primitive camping. There was a water faucet near the entrance to our campsite with drinkable water. Definitely an area I would feel safe going alone. There were other campsites available but they were not too close together so u will definitely have your privacy. We happened to be the only campers at the time! Craig and Sarah are amazing hosts, quick to respond. I got to take home some fresh farm eggs. 😍

Weekend Trip to Pisgah Riverbend

Patrick is a wondeful and accomdating host. Site 2 was beautifully shaded just as the picture shows. There was a good amount of rain before and during my stay. The recommendation for 4WD is a fair one. It set and met my expectation, and met that expectation. It's of course relative to your comfort level. I had my minivan and was ok. Thank you for sharing your space with us.

The area to back your camper into is so nice. Very quiet place! They gave me some eggs straight from their chickens! That was so kind and so extra! They are amazing! Very friendly and welcoming! Cannot say enough good things about this place! One of the best I’ve stayed at!

Amazing hosts, great location, easy access. Nice level spot with full hookup. There is no shortage of things to do in the area. We really enjoyed The Silos Brewery in Easley (6 minutes away) and a short drive (20 minutes) to downtown Greenville. We are already planning our return trip. Thank you Dave and family for a great, relaxing weekend! :)

We had a fantastic weekend at the tent site. It was absolutely beautiful! Not too close to the tent/RV site so we still had plenty of privacy. Outhouse is literally a few feet away and super convenient. Well kept and very clean! The tent site itself is on the river and has an amazing view but you cannot access the water from the site because it’s quite a steep climb down the river bank- however you can access the water by walking just a few feet down the gravel road and that’s where you can put boats in the water also. (The other tent/RV site does have water access) We rented a canoe and went for a paddle which we enjoyed. On a clear night the stars are a sight! We had the best time just enjoying the views and the peace and quiet making family memories. John is a great host who did come down and introduce himself and offered assistance if needed. Definitely recommend!

Haunted Barn Patio- Tent Site

Little did we know when we moved here, but this bit of land has a haunted history that we would love to share with you. This area is the home of the legend of the Pickens County Horror, made famous in a graphic novel penned by Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy. The original builder of our home was killed in our basement by his son. He was blown up and set on fire by a sabotaged gas stove and then left to burn to death in the backyard. There are strange noises and creatures that can be heard and sometimes seen at night. Neighbors are sometimes menaced by…something, which is why you’ll sometimes hear gunshots in the wee hours of the night. The Liberty Boom is often heard at random times during day and night. --- Have a stay in your tent or a hammock under our barn patio. We have a gravity shower and a camp toilet onsite. There's also a picnic table for your use. Guests have their own parking spaces. There are trails to use right at the end of the driveway, and we can even be talked into taking you out on a haunted night hike if you’re up to it. Don’t be alarmed if you see the neighborhood donkey and horses in the front yard. Situated very close to Clemson University, upstate lakes, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Sassafras Mountain, SC’s highpoint. The host had it perfectly clean and well stocked. It has a bonfire pit and a smaller fire pit for outside gatherings and the hot tub was immaculately clean, heated, and ready for use when we arrived. Kids can enjoy swings and slides. We used it for a small gathering where about a dozen guests gathered during the day and six spent the night. Could not have been happier with property or hosts. Fireworks are legal and permitted within reasonable hours. Horses are welcome.

Wildcat Outpost

Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Each campsite has a fire pit, and a bucket of water is provided for safety. There is a convenience store and gas station 1/2 mile away, so snacks and fuel can be easily accessed. If you're looking for extremely quiet, we may not be the right fit, as our animals don't keep quiet hours so you may hear a moo or a crow at any time, but we think it's fantastic here! Tents and RVs are welcome! RV folks, we do NOT have hookups at this time, so you will be boon docking. If you're looking for nearby attractions, here are some to check out: Lake Lure- 45 min. ( could be working in garden, building raised beds, harvesting, canning etc.) We have other long term rentals and are family friendly.
