There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available. (2 night minimum for all full campground requests)

My property consists of a ridge running east to west with the access road running along the south border.  the land slopes up to the ridge for about 300 feet, and then down to the river for about 800 feet.  The south side of the ridge has a small pond close to the road.  The rest is pasture, and an orchard and small vineyard.  The north side of the ridge is old growth timber, and shady and cool.  The two cabins are along the river.  One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river.  The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin.  There is room for a couple campsites along the river also.  The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago.  The north side has been in timber for the known history of the property.

Such a fun spot! Hosts communicated directions ahead of time. The coop is the perfect spot if you’re looking for the camping experience with some added amenities. It is one of a kind, for sure! The property is peaceful and allows for great relaxation. There is a stream that runs behind the coop which you can hear from the porch, adding to the ambiance. Porta-Jon is close by and kept clean. Host even supplies lighting for the coop, which was a great bonus. Fantastic all around!!

Absolutely stunning building. It smells so good. Like fresh cedar. It had everything we needed to cook and then some. Honestly best shower of my life. You can’t even tell you’re on a deck. The loft beds are not for the claustrophobic or very large bodies, but they provide a blow up queen size mattress as an alternative. I’m unsure of its quality. The ladder is also quite tricky. I just wish they thought of accessibility a bit more in the loft designs. Other than that this place is a dream! Can’t wait to return someday.

We had a great weekend staying in the Teela Springs Cabin at Cold Springs Basecamp! It was probably the easiest camping trip we’ve ever done as a family. No need for a tent or cooking gear since it was all included with the cabin. A great way to get outdoors and spend time with the family. The cabin had a lot of privacy compared to the other sites we saw which we really enjoyed.

Weekend Trip to Cold Spring Basecamp

The property is a gem in this area. The rustic cabin was perfect for our group. The facilities were impressive. Nicest campground bathrooms I have ever been in. The cold plunge and sauna was a nice touch and unique. There are trails on the property for hiking or biking and even a waterfall. Great place to base camp and would highly recommend to anyone!

Weekend Trip to Asheville Area Luxury Glamping Deck

Seriously one of the best glamping cabins ever. My husband and I had a kid free night and wanted a little get away that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. We stumbled upon this and had everything we needed to relax. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating to all of our request. I will certainly be back and recommend this place to everyone!

Weekend Trip to 3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve

Damon was a nice host that offered assistance when needed. I stayed in the Creek Campsite and it was a joy! The property is beautiful and he has a web that was nice to sit on and look at the stars. Easy to navigate in and out of the site (even with a little sedan). Only stayed for one night, but it just so happened to be a night full of music and a light show.

I almost don't want to review this place positively because me and my wife wanted to gatekeep it for ourselves 🤣 What an absolutely magical space to unwind in. This cabin is truly a hidden gem amongst one of the most beautiful areas in the Carolinas. Katlyn is an exceptional host, and thought of all of the little things to make our stay just perfect. We will definitely be returning again!

Weekend Trip to Starlight Hills

Loved staying in the Luna View Dome with my husband and Bernese Mtn Dog, Luna. It was quiet, secluded, easy to find, spacious, and well set up. The bed was comfortable and we definitely appreciated all of the fans to cool the space down by the time we got to bed. Was so nice talking to William when he stopped by and our dog loved him. Would definitely stay there again.

2 nights at Asheville Area Luxury Glamping Deck

We absolutely loved the Glamping Deck! Beds were very cozy, view was beautiful and we loved being able to raise the screen wall and feel like we were outside. Shower was fabulous- great pressure and luxurious! Other note: the kitchen was very well stocked and organized. Easy to prepare meals and plenty of space. We hope to stay again on our next Asheville area getaway!

3 nights at Peace Of Pisgah

I enjoyed glamping at site #2 on Vicki’s property. There was a sturdy tent w/cot, air mattress, sleeping bags, chair, picnic table, a fire pit w/a couple chairs, potty bucket with sanitizing spray, soil to cover & hand sanitizer and all of this was backed up to a lovely creek. Location only a few minutes from Pisgah. Felt very safe as a woman camping alone and private. Vicki was warm & welcoming! Down falls were few but could be dealbreakers for some including traffic noise at all hours (earplugs were included although), tear in screen of tent (not an issue for me since few bugs & cool in evening), no trash service and no running water for drinking, cooking or washing hands but there was a hot shower (but I did not use). I was also very cold my first night using summer bags provided, so suggest bringing cooler weather bags for camping outside of the summer months. Finally there was a burn ban which prevented me from going on the trail I planned to hike and having a campfire, both disappointing but not in Vicki’s control.

Unique stay! The treehouse was so magical and perfect! It had everything you could need and was super cozy and peaceful! The bed faces the east so it was really nice to be able to just roll over and see the sun coming up while you were amongst the trees! Great centralized location to towns and hiking as well! Communication was solid which I always appreciate. We definitely plan on coming back and would highly recommend anyone looking for a unique experience!

Me and my family absolutely loved it. The only advice I would push out to everyone is don’t go when It’s too hot or too cold because there’s only fans and the heat only heats up so much of the room they’re also no outlets, but they were very accommodating and anytime I had questions the host responded right away., Would absolutely recommend it!

The treehouse was a perfect little getaway. We really enjoyed being up in the trees for a few nights. Everything about the site is really well thought out and was well maintained. The sauna and cold plunge were awesome. Will definitely come back with a larger party sometime to stay in Bills cabin.
