Neal Creek Primitive camping by the creek is located on private property. The two large campsites are approximately 300 feet apart and are located right beside the running creek. Plenty of shaded area's. We have a 6-8 person tent available to rent as well! Learn more about this land: We are only 1/2 a mile from the Interstate 85. So bring your tents, campers or your small RV and come and setup down by the babbling creek. If you don't have or own a tent, we have a large 6-8 person tent available for a small rental fee too. Build a nice fire in the fire pit. The firewood and kindling is provided. The campsites are semi-wooded areas with plenty of shade. They are very large private, peaceful and quiet sites. View the stars at night, play in the creek during the day or if you are into biking or hiking, go to the Overmountain Victory trail located about 15 minutes away and enjoy the 6.7 mile loop around Lake Whelchel right off I-85. Local attractions: Biking, Hiking, Climbing and Horse trails - Kings Mtn National Park, Kings Mtn State Park, Crowder's Mtn State Park, Overmountain Victory Trail Segment - Lake Whelchel. This no ordinary campground. Pause is an adventure that will feel like you are exploring your own private mountain nature reserve. Aramesh is 120 acres of Blue Ridge heaven with something for every wilderness adventure seeker: unmatched mountain views, lush old growth forests, babbling brooks, and miles of trails for all skill levels. The property starts at 3700 ft altitude, with summit at 4500 ft on the Glades mountain ridge. We have only a few campsites on the vast property, so the wind in the trees and birds will be all you hear. Come and stay with us and be renewed! IMPORTANT: 4WD or AWD is required to access our property. There is a sometimes steep and windy gravel road into Pause. Please make sure your vehicle has 4WD or AWD before you book. Campsites: They are 3/4-1/4 mile from the entrance. Some are accessible by 4WD. There may be some vigorous hiking involved, but the views are worth it. The pads are various sizes. Let us know what the needs of your party are and we can help you choose from the available spots. Hiking: There are several miles of trails on the property. They range from an easy slope to very strenuous. The entire property is fenced so you won't easily get lost. Your climbing efforts will be amply rewarded by stunning views, especially at sunset. Trail maps are available upon request. On-Site Amenities: we provide a clean porta-potty and running water that is spring fed. We ask that you follow "Leave-No-Trace" procedures during your stay. Off-Site Amenities: If you choose to explore the area : we are a 10 minute drive from I-40 Exit 24. Asheville is 45 minutes away; Waynesville is 25 minutes away. Presnell's Grocery (highly recommended, family-owned store that sells locally farmed products) is 10 minutes away from the property entrance. The Ingles supermarket in Canton is a 15 minute drive. You will find every kind of fast food in that area. There are also several excellent local dining options in Canton, Clyde, and Waynesville which we are happy to recommend to you by request.

Our family of 4 had an absolutely amazing time here at Lijahs garden. It was a perfect view yet close to porta potty and park king place. Great for little ones too! We also got to love on the beautiful horses thanks to Ms Jesi ❤️ How great is our God to make such a breathtaking view for us to enjoy with Him 🙏🏽❤️

So beautiful and such a special place, this land is a true gem! As stated, be absolutely sure your vehicle has 4 wheel drive (I rented a truck specifically for this trip and it DID NOT have 4WD like the rental company told me it did) Extra grateful for Jill & Fara for sending their friend to help my tow truck driver extract me from the hill. Please do not make the same mistake I did, especially after heavy rain the hill to the top camps (Zimbo/Lijahs Garden) can become very slick and muddy.

I very much enjoyed my long weekend retreat with my dogs. Our campsite was set off about a quarter mile from the next closest sites, so nights were quiet and peaceful. The property was beautiful, with the highlight being a hike up to the grassy bald for sunset. Amenities were all as described and well maintained. Surrounding area loaded with things to do. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Lijah's Ridge - beautiful views ! We enjoyed our stay here - and loved the drive up to location. The description for site was accurate - and I might say that this site would be perfect for tents and group of people. We have a roof top tent -so we parked just in front of the tree stumps. Weather was gorgeous - made fire, purchased some wood as part of camp site. Recommending ! Note: This is in description, but can be easily missed. Campers on site above will park in same area, and if you have a rooftop tent - someone maybe parked quite close to you. It did not bother us - but FYI.

Our second stay here, and it was just as amazing as the first. The fall foliage was absolutely stunning, and the views from our campsite felt like having a private Blue Ridge Parkway overlook all to ourselves. Plenty of great trails right on site, and the free roaming horses wandering by were a real bonus. Peaceful, beautiful, and hard to beat.

This campsite was exactly what I needed. I brought my trailer with a rooftop tent and it fit into the space perfectly. The mountain views were incredible, and the dark skies made it ideal for astrophotography which is just what I was hoping for. The porta potty was super clean, which was a huge relief for my daughter. We had a few friendly horses wander over to say hello at our site looking for head scratches. Getting there does require a 4x4 or all wheel drive, so keep that in mind. The site did have a fire ring and a swing hanging from a tree, which we loved. Jessie, who works there, was amazing with my daughter and she let her help brush the horses and really helped her get over her fear of them. It was one of those trips that just perfect from start to finish.

This was hands-down the most beautiful camping spot we've found in North Carolina! The beauty of the spot feels like a dream, and the chance to visit the sweet horses grazing amongst verdant mountainsides felt otherworldly. It's both quiet and full-bodied in its sound, and we could've spent hours just listening to the calls of owls, coyotes and the thousand orchestral sounds of autumnal insects. Truly a slice of heaven on earth. It was a gift to be there! We are already planning our return. :)

Super nice spot with great long distance views. The horses at the site were a nice addition. The trails on the site were also super nice to walk around. The site is pretty close to I-40, Max Patch, and Waynesville. Definitely will be coming back’

Do not hesitate to book this site, absolutely stunning and the pictures (although gorgeous) couldn’t compare to how beautiful this site really is. We saw a couple other great sites on our way up to this one but this is definitely the one to pick. Private, with 360 views. And the horses were an amazing addition to this little relaxing retreat :) One of the greatest experiences I’ve had camping. 4wd is definitely a must

We had an absolute blast camping here! It felt so private like we had it all to ourselves! Our first night we had some wicked bc but gorgeous, thunderstorms. We ubered into York to trip around for a while, played cards and just enjoyed listening to the creek trickling so close to us.
