3.5 acre property, last remaining part of old inlet horse farm, with plenty of natural buffers from the few neighbors in our vicinity and between our camp sites, as well as the road. So close to everything the inlet area has to offer. Beaches, tidal inlet with boat ramps, Waccamaw River with boat ramps, restaurants, shops, bars, State Parks, nature preserves, fun attractions and much, much more, all just moments away. We are set up as a “primitive” camping experience, the property is kept very natural, unmanicured for the most part, little to no herbicides or insecticides used here. It’s a work in progress, is difficult for me to tackle chores due to physical disabilities, so some private areas are disorganized at this time. I live here full time, with two cats & 5 chickens whom are all free range.
I live here in a double wide by myself, two outdoor cats. Deer, fox, rabbits, hawks and the like are common visitors. This is brand new to me, lots of improvements to be made in the future to make a guests stay even better, so for right now it’s bare bones. Can accommodate tents or certain campers. No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free.
Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome.
I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

I have included photos in the listing where you can see screen shots of what these cameras' fixed viewpoints are. Rest assured, your privacy is not compromised.***

If you are here for the beach, the closest beach and also our favorite is Cherry Grove Beach, only a 30 minute drive. This was the best boondock camping spots I’ve stayed at thus far. The campsite sat right along the river, giving it a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Waking up to the sound of the water and being able to sit outside with the river just a few steps away made the experience feel private and scenic.
The area was quiet, open, and perfect for relaxing, cooking outside, fishing, or just enjoying nature without the crowds of a regular campground. Since it was boondocking, there were no major hookups or extra amenities, but that added to the peaceful off-grid feel. It was a great place to disconnect, enjoy the outdoors, and take in the view especially with the deer roaming around. The host was very nice, responsive and very catering to my questions. I really liked that.
Overall, this riverfront boondock camping spot was simple, beautiful, and exactly what camping should feel like. It’s on the top of my list and I’ll definitely be booking it soon AGAIN!

and everyone is very nice and helpful. Would definitely go again and recommend. Only issue, which has nothing to do Jeff or the space, is that there must be some kind of puppy mill/dog breeding operation up the river. The peace of my recent stay was somewhat diminished by the sound of distressed dogs barking for quite a long time.

We really enjoyed chatting with him, getting some history about his property, the community and recommendations on where to eat. The Marshwalk and Drunken Jacks were great! We’d definitely stay again next time we are passing through.

Glamping tents and a treehouse also available, and there are hot showers & clean bathrooms and potable water availablep. We stayed 3 nights with our 2 dogs and 2 cats. No problems at all. There are a few spots by the river but stayed in an open field for more space because of our animals. The toilets are kept clean and there is a dumpster for trash. I recommend this place and would visit again. Thank you to Scott and his family for accommodating us!

Pretty site right on the Waccamaw River, quiet and peaceful at night, mostly quiet daytime, some early morning and late afternoon traffic noise from a nearby main road (and some interesting early morning farm animal sounds) but nothing disturbing. Nice, level areas for pitching a tent. If you have a dog, you must keep it at the back of the property where you pitch camp so as not to disturb the farm animals, and there are woods you can walk in, my little dog loved exploring!
