Pick wild blackberries in early summer and wild grapes in late summer early fall, and we may share some of our home made jellies with you. We welcome family groups year round. My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Quiet, small compound for no more than 6 campers. You are on top of a hill from which you can glimpse the lake. Walk down the well maintained path and onto the dock and the view of the lake opens up. I enjoyed bird watching and star gazing while I was there. I plan to return.

Had a very chill and relaxing time! Jeff was there to greet us and his wife gave us a tour! I’m in love with their Great Pyrenees. They had excellent hospitality and equally gave us our space. We had a huge fire in their pit and felt right at home!

Had everything we needed for a two day stop to go visit Congaree 30 minutes away. Kids had plenty of room to roam around and place was quiet.

Weekend Trip to Blythewood Acres

When I booked he said it is mainly full timers with a few single sites. Nice level sites down a long driveway back in the woods. Full hookup and was described as is. The full timers were nice folks. Lots of chickens and roosters to wake you in the morning. Not a place to come and stay for a week but great for overnight or if your there and are gone during the day like we were. Very responsive and nice host. We came to visit family and were gone all day and stayed here two nights. Will definitely stay when we come visit family again.

This is the second time we have camped at this spot and we loved it just as much as the first if not more! The weather held up great and even though it was insanely hot, we still got to spend a good amount of time outside due to the shade! This campsite was gorgeous and well maintained! 10/10 will camp again

Weekend Trip to Blythewood Acres

We loved this site! It was beautiful, quiet, peaceful and extremely clean. The host was beyond exceptional with making sure the site was tended to and we loved how easygoing he was. We stayed in the newer section of sites that he had and they were so great! Easy to pull into, great grassy area towards the back of the campground for us to be able to walk our dog! 10/10 will camp again and recommend to all our camping friends and family!

Weekend Trip to Beautiful Lake Camping

Loved our stay over the holiday weekend. Nice and quiet area near the state park. The hosts checked in to welcome us and gave us fresh eggs. Chickens, ducks, quail, peacocks and guinea on the property to enjoy and saw deer three times. Nice cove to kayak and paddleboard around the island. Look forward to coming back soon.

Weekend Trip to Lakeshore Family Campground

Owners communicated very well, stopped through on Saturday morning and introduced himself. Was receptive to a suggestion I made for the campsite - they had brought in crush and run, but had a low point where my passenger side tires sat making it unlevel. He gave suggestions for things that were happening in town. The dock is brand new, site was clean. Visited the Lake Monticello Recreation area not far which was also nice. Can’t beat the price, would recommend, especially for a group of campers! Rent all 6 sites and enjoy the group fire pit together!
