Kids can enjoy swings and slides. We used it for a small gathering where about a dozen guests gathered during the day and six spent the night. Could not have been happier with property or hosts. Fireworks are legal and permitted within reasonable hours. Horses are welcome.

You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. About the adventure co side, We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult). You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

Hi! We are excited that you are thinking of camping with us. You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) But don't worry, your campsite is surrounded by beauty and privacy. Enjoy walking through the woods, sharing a picnic while visiting with the animals, or just having relaxing in nature! We also sell farm fresh eggs by the half-dozen for $2, so you can cook your own egg breakfast if you would like! Our campsites are rustic. We do provide a port-a-potty on site as well as 7 gallons of drinking-safe water. There is a King Camp portable shower on-site, and we live on site at the front of the property in case of emergency. Each campsite has a fire pit, and a bucket of water is provided for safety. There is a convenience store and gas station 1/2 mile away, so snacks and fuel can be easily accessed. If you're looking for extremely quiet, we may not be the right fit, as our animals don't keep quiet hours so you may hear a moo or a crow at any time, but we think it's fantastic here! Tents and RVs are welcome! RV folks, we do NOT have hookups at this time, so you will be boon docking. If you're looking for nearby attractions, here are some to check out: Lake Lure- 45 min. Isothermal Rail Trail- 20 min. Strawberry Hill Farm Stand and Restaurant- 10 min. Purple Martin Greenway Trail- 20 min. Pearson Falls and Glen- 35 min. Linville Caverns- 1 hr., 15 min. Lake Bowen- 15 min. Lake Jocassee (Devil's Fork State Park)- 1 hr., 30 min. KidSenses Interactive Museum- 22 min. Children's Museum of the Upstate- 50 min. There are plenty of places to explore! We are 25 minutes from Rutherfordton or Tryon, 20 minutes to Forest City, 30 minutes to Landrum or Spartanburg, 45 min. to Greenville and an hour to Asheville.

Here on our peaceful homestead we are conveniently located just a few min, 1.5 miles, away from interstate-85, exit 83. We offer water and sewer hookup. Pets are allowed but they MUST be leashed. We have free ranging ducks and chickens who must stay safe. If you’d like to stay awhile to explore we are 10 minutes away from downtown Cowpens, and 10 minutes away from historic Cowpens battlefield. More interesting places to visit-Gaffney Outlets, Strawberry Hill USA, downtown Spartanburg. Perfect place to stop for the night when passing through or to even stay awhile.

Excellent, expansive property, with a menu of add-ons that range from firewood to s’mores. Big trail system with oddities (including a sailboat), lit up and with decorations - very pretty property and the hosts were very responsive and informative. We will be back.

Hosts are very helpful and communicative. The camping spot is great. It is very quiet and private. You are near Paris Mountain State Park and the Swamp Rabbit Trail for outdoor recreation.

Easy to find, wide open space with a horizon view full of mountains! Beautiful sunset, great stargazing opportunities and an established firepit. Lots of room for parking, huge wood built deck for tents or chilling out. This was right off the road but not a lot of traffic or noise. There was 2 “outhouse “ structures but not potty usable ( unless I am a moron and didn’t know how to use them) but they both faced the trees so at least there was partial coverage.

2 nights at Broken Oak Riverside Getaway

I found it lovely in my passing through for 2 nights! The river was nice, I felt safe and secluded, and there was everything I needed! The shower was a huge plus! The store is convenient if needed, too. I heard cars passing from Campsite 1, but it wasn’t an annoyance. I’m sure it’s quieter with foliage too, as I was there in December. There was eucalyptus growing on the farm and it was nice to walk by and smell too. Thank you for opening your space!

Taylor’s land was the perfect spot for our midway stop on our roadtrip, not far off the highway and the land itself was gorgeous. Our dog was able to run around off leash, huge plus after hours of driving. The toilet was clean. There were paths through the woods for us to stretch our legs. And our host met us to show us where to set up and could not have been sweeter. Great place to camp!!

This was the perfect spot for us to take our 7 year old grandson for a quick overnight “camping” experience while we were in town for thanksgiving. Perfect spot with great views. Rusty was rad and very easy to communicate with. He even hooked us up with WiFi password.

As it stands right now, its a great sight with beautiful views. Hookups are on the wrong side, so bring extensions. Once the other sites are finished, it will be a fuller campground for sure. As a solo sight, it was exactly what we wanted!

I had such an amazing experience car camping at Lucky Farms. This was my very first time camping and this was a great start to my camping adventures. Taylor and Marty were fantastic hosts and so gracious. I felt safe and comfortable here so I was able to get a good nights rest. If you love stargazing (like me) you will love this place with beautiful views of the moon, stars, and sunset/rise. This is the perfect place for campers traveling solo or as a couple/family. My dog loved the open field, but I arrived a bit later than I intended and I didn’t get a chance to explore the trails and other amenities, so I will be booking another stay here with my dog in the future. I would definitely recommend Lucky Farms to any camper looking for a great place to camp. :)

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in campsite 1. We loved sitting by the fire overlooking the creek. The camp store was stocked with firewood and had a coffee pot for our use, which was very nice. Even though a highway was close, the traffic noise was never a concern. It was quiet at night. Craig was a nice host, and very helpful. We would love to camp there again.

This was exactly what we were looking for when searching for our daughter’s first camping trip. The owners were so nice and hospitable and the property grounds are just beautiful. The trails throughout the woods light up at night which made my daughter smile for hours on end. She especially loved the rope swing and visiting the horses!. Don’t skip this spot in your search. You’ll regret it.

Great host checked on us in the beginning and made sure we had wood for a fire .That's right wood who eles does that .no one .Great job on That. there camp ground had a swing and clean area .fire ring and running creek .Will be back
