Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop. We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges. We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today. About the adventure co side, We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult). You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

Secluded, private, and oh-so cozy! This will easily become your most favored get-away spot! The cabin is located at the end of a private gravel road with a fish pond and thousands of acres of peaceful wooded mountains at it's doorstep! And yes, there are hiking trails! We built this cabin with you in mind. Everything was custom made by us; from the woodstove rock wall, to the cabinets and outdoor picnic table. You will instantly relax when you walk into this very special place. You will never want to leave! The cabin includes a large front porch with rocking chairs where you will enjoy your warm tea or coffee each morning and evening while overlooking the peaceful pond and woods. There is an outdoor fire ring and picnic table where you can enjoy a campfire, cook on the open flame, and have smore's in the evening. Inside the cabin you will find everything to be incredibly beautiful and spaced to create the coziest atmosphere you've ever enjoyed. There is a wood burning stove indoors that when lit, takes the whole experience to the next level! But you don't have to rely on the woodstove for heat, we've installed a brand new wall unit for heat and air! You also have a DVD player and a television with an assortment of DVDs to choose from. The cabin sleeps 4-5 people comfortably. There is a full size bed that sleeps 2 in the main room of the cabin. There is a loft above that sleeps 2-3 more. A rolling library ladder is how the kids will access the loft area! So fun! The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, electric stove, oven, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. A peaceful mood is set by warm-toned sawmill lumber walls, recessed lighting in the ceiling, a kitchen window above the sink that overlooks the side yard campfire area and beautiful woods surrounding the cozy cabin. The bathroom is so nice with a stand-up shower, hand-made oak vanity, and a door to the "star-gazing" porch. Flood lighting lights up the area around the cabin at night so you might spot a deer, fox, or even a bear traveling through or getting a drink of water from the pond. I've been camping for all 40 of my years on this planet and this was the best camping experience I've ever had. I'm usually the primative camping type but my GF along our dog and I were on a road trip from Minnesota and I wanted to find the best campsite with the best view of the mountains while we were down there, despite not having any of our gear with us. I'm absolutely convinced that we found it. Everything was easy to find when we showed up and we had the whole place to ourselves since it was a Monday into Tuesday. When we arrived our tent was unlocked and ready for us, and the firewood already stacked next to the pit. We literally got out of the car and went straight to the hammocks and enjoyed the view. I specifically booked the only clear-sky night of the week and was rewarded with one of the top 3 sunsets I've ever seen. Absolutely phenomenal. William eventually came to check on us and make sure we found anything, what a friendly guy!! We BS'd for a little bit while he played with our dog and I loved every second of it. It felt like such a privilege to be in such a beautiful place with an amazing host. William, we can't thank you enough! Definitely hope to make it back one day. My only regret is only staying for a single night. What an absolute gem.

Such a beautiful property and so well-designed! Even better than the photos convey. Each yurt, along with the cabin, offers its own gorgeous, unique view and level of separation from other sites. The tent sites probably offer the most privacy if that’s what you’re after. The vista from the picnic/BBQ area is also so beautiful and peaceful. The amount of work the owners have put into their campground is very evident, and I’m grateful they share it with the public. Less than a half hour to South Mountains state park which has begun its phased re-opening post-Helene (hooray!!). Definitely hope to return someday soon!

I had a wonderful experience at Adin’s River Cabin. Met him at check in and he showed me around the cabin. Had some great suggestions for where to hike with my dog. The cabin was peaceful and very quiet. Adin made sure my visit was just what I needed. I got the chance to meet his lovely wife and I had a wonderful conversation with them as I was leaving. I will definitely be back!

My family and I had a great experience at Starlight. Exactly as pictured. William is very attentive and met with us at our site shortly after we arrived to greet and give us some information about the grounds. While walking the grounds, you can really grasp the vision William has for Starlight as he is consistently expanding and improving the campground. It was our base for enjoying the area. From hiking Catawba Falls to adventures and rapids at the U.S. National Whitewater Center! Another great family vacation in the books!

The place is thoughtfully laid out. Love the multiple housing options. We stayed in the yurt, decorated with intention. The lights at night in the trees made the evening feel warm and inviting. Bathrooms were clean. When entering the address in the gps be sure to put in the city Travelers Rest, address defaults to Greenville which is a residential area. Great stay, definitely want to try out another house perhaps the A frame house. :)

Starlight is a remote gem. There had been rain so it was a bit muddy, but a very unique camp ground. The Spa was a delight. Hot tub and sauna under the stars. I really enjoyed the relaxation. Tent camping a small trailers would be best when using the smaller camp sites. There are unique circular tents on platforms available as well as a beautiful overlook spot with hammocks. Great for group camping!

My property consists of a ridge running east to west with the access road running along the south border.  the land slopes up to the ridge for about 300 feet, and then down to the river for about 800 feet.  The south side of the ridge has a small pond close to the road.  The rest is pasture, and an orchard and small vineyard.  The north side of the ridge is old growth timber, and shady and cool.  The two cabins are along the river.  One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river.  The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin.  There is room for a couple campsites along the river also.  The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago.  The north side has been in timber for the known history of the property.
