This place was simply magical! My husband and I came for our first wedding anniversary and we are leaving with full hearts. Amazing views, ample parking and the hot tub was divine! The drive was windy and the spot remote. We definitely got to test out some of our equipment with the storms that rolled through.

Such a fabulous host and overall excellent experience! Just book it and know you are going to experience something truly unique on this property and be well taken care of. Every detail has been very uniquely crafted. During our stay we felt very safe, relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful sounds of the river. The nights came alive with a beautiful moon and the sounds of nature. Coyotes in the far distance, raccoon, and a beautiful herd of deer drinking from the river. I hope all others who visit will respect and appreciate it as much as we did!

While we didn’t get to stay in the dome due to a booking challenge, the host placed us in a super cute A-frame. The grounds were clean and inviting. The over the fire pit rack was perfect for some wood grilled burgers!! The hot tub/sauna/cold plunge was spectacular. There was always a wave to be had by the staff as they drove by. Future glamours should know that the in unit “coffee maker” is a French press, which in a unit with electricity, was a little disappointing, since the trek to get boiling water was at a coffee vending station. Otherwise, it served the purpose well for a beautiful outdoor getaway.

The most fun! Great spot with great views and well maintained. Got to meet Clayton, Tiffany, and Mad Max (their mini pony). They were so lovely and welcoming! The bath houses were so clean and refreshing, and a nearby coffee shop gave us recommendations on some beautiful hikes nearby, Rainbow Falls was unreal! At night we looked up and saw StarLink in the sky which was very neat. The hot tub was a great touch as the nights cooled down quite a bit. Will be back with my family next time for sure!

The mountain view from the indoor porch is amazing and there are several places to relax and enjoy this view. It has easy access but the property has abundant trees and is secluded from nearby roads and homes for privacy. The interior, baths, and kitchen are updated but maintain a pleasant farmhouse feel. The host had it perfectly clean and well stocked. It has a bonfire pit and a smaller fire pit for outside gatherings and the hot tub was immaculately clean, heated, and ready for use when we arrived. Kids can enjoy swings and slides. We used it for a small gathering where about a dozen guests gathered during the day and six spent the night. Could not have been happier with property or hosts. Fireworks are legal and permitted within reasonable hours. Horses are welcome.

Cashiers Private RV Campsite

This is a stunning, single remote camper/RV site with water, electric and septic hook-ups, a hot tub, outdoor shower and breath-taking views of Whiteside Mountain and Black Rock Mountain. Our 19 acres on Brushy Mountain is nestled away in the Ellicott Rock Wilderness Area of the Nantahala National Forest, the largest of NC's four National Forests with over 500,000 acres of pristine wilderness. The famous Iron Bridge over the headwaters of the Chattooga River is just a short drive away down Bull Pen Road. You will find some of the best trout fishing and hiking trails in all of North Carolina at your doorstep. This temperate rain forest is enjoyable in every season and is exceptional in its ecological diversity and abundance. If you are interested in hiking to beautiful waterfalls, fishing in native trout streams, bird watching or star gazing, this is the place for you! And if you need supplies from town, Cashiers is the closest and is about 25 minutes away and Highlands is about a 45 minute drive. Both have great restaurants and shops to check out. Our gated, gravel driveway is steep and a half mile long. You will need an all-wheel or 4 Wheel drive vehicle to get up the driveway without spinning. There is ample space to turn around to park, but due to the nature of our driveway we limit the length of RV's to no more than 20 feet. The Quack Shack

This site is accessed via a short trail through the trees down a gentle, sloping hill, and finally by a short stairway, and as such it may not be easily accessible for campers with limited mobility. Located on the grounds of the Duckpond Pottery, The Quack Shack is a secluded treehouse perched along the banks of the French Broad River. The structure is an 8x10 A-frame that transforms via a hinged wall into an open-air cabana with a charming deck that affords spectacular views of the French Broad River and surrounding countryside. The interior of the Quack Shack, with its vaulted 11-foot ceiling and earthen plaster walls, provides a warm glow in a rainforest environment. It is furnished with a comfortable seating area surrounding a coffee table that can be easily converted to a full-size queen bed at night. On the outside deck are beach chairs and a chimenea available for use. The quack shack has electric power (1 outlet only). Amenities include a bathroom located a short walk away at the main building as well as an open-air on-demand shower located off the bathroom on a deck overlooking the French Broad River. Morning coffee and tea is available at The Tea Hut located just a hop, skip, and jump from the treehouse. A new two person wood fired hot tub and cold plunge is now located just off the steps of the treehouse. (Contact us if you’d like to reserve it during your stay). NOTE: The Duckpond Pottery is a working studio pottery and gallery that is open to the public. It is also home to occasional open-air house concerts on the deck at the pottery. The host generally blocks concert dates, however, it is worth double-checking with the host that there will not be a concert if you desire a quieter experience.

Bring bug spray Will I get cold or hot inside the dome? Although we try our best to make it comfortable, there is a chance the heater/ac will not perform the way you would like. This is a shelter that may let cool/hot air in. Pack sleeping bags if you are concerned, or even a heated blanket. Fans provided. What else is provided? Shelter, bed, sheets, blankets, towels, toaster, mini fridge, toilet paper, hot tub, & fans. Bathrooms? Each dome has their own portable toilet that is treated weekly. Running water? Firewood.If needed plates, cups, utensils, coffee & coffee filters. If you are a colder person bring a heavy duty sleeping bag or extra blankets to be safe. Good shoes as it may get slippery/muddy. Fishing gear if you want to catch some trout for dinner. Portable grill or skillet if needed. Bug spray, adventure energy, swimsuits. You may want to try a dip in the creek and back to the hot tub for a Wim Hof experience.
