Had a great time camping at Green Acres. Very quiet with easy access to Hwy 17 and the Brunswick Beaches. Site 3 was very flat and settled in the back corner of the field. Tons of space made the campground feel very open. I will definitely be returning for more trips.

This spot was a refreshing place to stop and rest during our long journey North. The fields were pretty, the bathroom was clean and the sites were surrounded by a well kept lawn. We will return!

Scott was super accommodating and helpful. We had an awesome time staying on his property! We had plenty of space and the kids loved that he has chickens on the property! He brought out a kids picnic table with a bunch of art supplies for the kids to play with as well. We will definitely hope his space is free next time we are in the area!

Weekend Trip to The Pine Tree Retreat

We had a great time on Joseph's land. The entrance off the main road was a little hard to find. We passed it twice, but then once we found the correct road, it was easy to get to the spot. Our Toyota Corolla handled it just fine. The spot is nicely secluded considering its right off a main road and only 20 minutes from town, which is great because there's a Walmart there that stays open pretty late and lots of other stores in case you forget something or need to do a #2😆. You cannot see any houses once you get to the spot. Our dog ran around non-stop the entire time we were there and she loved it. This spot was clean, accommodating, and convenient to get to. We only caught very small fish, but it was fun. We threw them back with hopes to visit again in a few months and catch them again once they are bigger. We really enjoyed it and hope to visit again in the future. Host was easy and efficient to communicate with. Thanks Joseph.

7 nights at Double L Farms RV Park, LLC

The host (Lisa) met us as we were pulling in during a downpour of rain and escorted us to our site. They were more than willing to help us set up. The sites are easy to get into even with a 41’ fifth wheel. The sites are very generous in size with nice views of the horses roaming in the pasture. We went to the little farm fresh market on the property and truly enjoyed the beef and pork we purchased. You can’t go wrong staying here!

Weekend Trip to Double L Farms RV Park, LLC

We were looking for a place en route back north. Very convenient to I-95. Lisa & Brian were so friendly & let us borrow converter for 50 to 30 amp so that we could camp at the end spot near the horses. The pony in the pasture was adorable! We spent a nice quiet evening getting good rest. Thank you Lisa & Brian :)

Weekend Trip to Star Fall Station

Our first time pop-up camping and this was a great place! Private site next to a huge magnolia with a swing underneath, beautiful grounds to walk around the pond and places to sit with lots of cool artsy details. Friendly duck and we got a dozen fresh eggs from the chickens too. Hosts were super nice and helpful. There was a new outdoor enclosed shower and composting toilet with no smell. Close to the beach and stores, restaurants and coffee shop. Lots of cool artsy details around. Will definitely return!!

1 night at Isla Mas Afuera

My dog Frieda and I really enjoyed our stay at Scott's campsite. Scott welcomed us in and we set up camp for the night. There's a lot of room to pitch a tent and set up other necessities. It was a nice recluse from the busy streets. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area :)

My dog loved the great open space and pond. Plenty of places to pitch a tent and enjoy the privacy of being the only campers there. We appreciated the shelter, the picnic table and the firewood that Joesph provided. It was a good time had by all.

This was a fantastic place to stay! Connie was an amazing host who went above and beyond for us. Left us a goodie bag and even changed out the fire pit for a new one when she was cleaning it before our stay. Site was clean and flat with a picnic table, fire pit, and umbrella. The only negative was probably only because of the time of the year, the lights from the church parking lot were shining super bright at night all night. Other than that we absolutely loved it. We will be staying again!

This was my first time using Hipcamp and Connie had the perfect lot for a beginner such as myself! The area itself was well kept and I had no issues finding the location either. Highly recommend this location, especially if you have a big group!

My son and I went down for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. We were in a 33’ travel trailer. Site one was just what we were looking for. We actually had the whole place to ourselves, but the sites are spread out well to give privacy. Connie was great and we would definitely go back. If your kids are Star Wars fans, definitely splurge for the “May the Forest be with you” stickers.

Isla Mas Afuera

3.5 acre property, last remaining part of old inlet horse farm, with plenty of natural buffers from the few neighbors in our vicinity and between our camp sites, as well as the road. So close to everything the inlet area has to offer. Beaches, tidal inlet with boat ramps, Waccamaw River with boat ramps, restaurants, shops, bars, State Parks, nature preserves, fun attractions and much, much more, all just moments away. We are set up as a “primitive” camping experience, the property is kept very natural, unmanicured for the most part, little to no herbicides or insecticides used here. It’s a work in progress, is difficult for me to tackle chores due to physical disabilities, so some private areas are disorganized at this time. I live here full time, with two cats & 5 chickens whom are all free range. I live here in a double wide by myself, two outdoor cats. Deer, fox, rabbits, hawks and the like are common visitors. This is brand new to me, lots of improvements to be made in the future to make a guests stay even better, so for right now it’s bare bones. Can accommodate tents or certain campers. No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free. Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome. I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

The property is located 7 miles off highway 74/76 in Whiteville and 10 miles to Lake Waccamaw, 32 miles to Ocean Isle Beach, 45 miles to Wilmington, 36 miles to North Myrtle Beach. The road is gravel all the way to the camping area with signs for directions. When there’s no burn ban in place or lack of rain i do try to keep firewood on-site but I recommend checking with me before your stay. Reserve your spot and experience the peace and quiet of the outdoors and listen to the turkeys and watch the deer feed in early mornings while the sun rises.
