We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania. We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by. On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year! We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods. There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife. Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes). We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in. Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular. Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

There are no lights on our property and is very dark at night. It is best to arrive during daylight, for easier RV hook up. However, due to the darkness, stargazing is spectacular. The property runs from Brown Rd. to Powderhouse Rd. All 4 corners are marked with bird houses and along the property line on the North. A fire pit area with benches and lots of level space to pitch tents. Our close to nature spot offers open level lawn, rolling forest and Sugar Creek passing through. Property is lined with Blue Bird houses along with an Owl House, Bat House and a Fox Den.(Not sure what's been occupied so far.) We are building a nature preserve with song birds singing, frogs crooking and deer passing though the area. The road features some beautiful homes and ask guests to show courtesy and to be a good neighbor. Please understand that our property is in the process of removing the dying Ash Trees (Emerald Ash Borer is a problem) and ask for campers to set up near open area/driveway and not the site in the middle of the woods. Great place! Really well-maintained and clean, it's clear that Alicia takes a lot of pride in this property. Very close to the road, but very little traffic so it feels private. As someone who exclusively boondocks, having the 30 amp service was a real luxury! No joke about the lack of Verizon service though - make sure you pay for the Wi-Fi box unless you have T-Mobile or AT&T. Looking forward to coming back.

Weekend Trip to Sawmill Woodzie/Elk Creek Escape

We spent 2 nights and had a nice stay. It was cooler weather so not many people camping, nice and quiet. Rus who manages the campground was awesome. Friendly, helpful, fun guy. Some feedback for the Hipcamp listing, all we got was an address which lead us to a cabin a mile or so away from the actual site. We had to knock on someone’s door to get help figuring out where to go. I had messaged the host early in the day to let them know when we’d be arriving. No response.

We had such a wonderful stay! The site was peaceful, well-maintained, and the views were A+! Susan was a fantastic host and even checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or experience. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, welcoming getaway!

1 night at Close to Ricketts Glen State Park

Had such a lovely stay with Jackie and Chris. Not only were they super accommodating of our last minute booking, they moved our campsite to one safer and dryer in the weather. We spent a beautiful cozy night despite the rain, we even got to have a little fire before it got too wet! Wood bundles for purchase are large and generous. Got to meet both Chris and Jackie and felt like we'd known them for years. Highly recommend this sweet little spot-- we'll be back!!

2 nights at Sawmill Woodzie/Elk Creek Escape

Open field site with a lovely overlook of the river. I checked in at the main office, took the offer for their (permanent? sleeps 4-6) tent on the property, and the host even kindly helped jump start my car on my last morning as it had had some battery issues recently. Wifi available but spotty far away from the main office, I didn't have a chance to check out the bath facilities.

Lakeside Campground is quiet and friendly with all the amenities one needs: a store, firewood, and fish in the pond. The sites are clean and the clientele friendly. Believe the website about abounding Piper Hill Rd. Follow the signs!!!

Weekend Trip to CampsiteDiscGolf @ HighHorizonsFarm

Camping at CSDG for the second time, and it was just as great as the first. We had the chance to play a round with Cathy, John, and Dave, and we had such a fun time that we played an additional 8 on the older course with the makeshift baskets—definitely awesome!! You can tell Cathy and John love what they do, and they radiate nothing but warmth and kindness. Communication was great, bathroom was clean, and the camp site was private and stocked with wood. Can’t wait to come back in the spring!

Our group had a great time at Fairie Tale Farms - Moondance Retreat and would highly recommend! Susan was very welcoming, showing us to our campsite and checking on us during our stay. We enjoyed walking around the property checking out the lake and watching the horses. During our stay we did a casual hike at Ricketts Glen State park and checked out a community fair.
