Cutest trip! Loved the tiny home very peaceful. Doug and Lisa were very generous and gave us a flashlight, newspapers, a lighter, fire starter, and made us cookies! There are some nice trails for you to explore on the property and beautiful artwork all throughout. A must visit!

2 nights at Seven Mountains Campground

We had a great weekend camping at the unique setting of Fairfield Farm. Bill and Erin were wonderful hosts. The farm fresh eggs they offer are great and the option of unlimited firewood takes the guesswork out of the equation. The grass airstrip with an old plane at the edge of the field with the mountains in the background make for great photos. We definitely recommend staying here, it’s peaceful and serene.

Exceeded expectations! Loved everything about it from beginning to end. Quiet, low key campground. Great location. So many thoughtful touches throughout the cabin. Comfy bed. Hot tub was perfect. Both smart tvs were so easy to use. Warm and cozy. Already planning a return trip!!

The area was beautiful. Swatara Park has great hiking trails. Bathroom was very clean and heated (just a short walk down a hill). Plane definitely just for photos. Owners were very kind and accommodating to requests.

Very clean, cozy, and welcoming place. The hot tub was a bonus for our stay during the cold nights. The location was great! We planned our trip to visit some local breweries. There were many options within 20 mins. I'd definitely stay there again, and will probably be back during the summer.

Our weekend getaway to this cozy cabin was awesome! We went towards the end of February and it was lows of 20 which got colder at night, but the wood stove was very warm. Our hosts were super nice and stocked us with firewood during our stay. The cabin is definitely rustic which is what we wanted. We decided to hang near the cabin and hike the mountain/cliff behind the cabin. It was neat to see the small caves and rocks covered in ice. Very straight up the small logging trails to state forest, but a good workout. We will be coming back!! -Natasha & Bobby

Weekend Trip to West Creek Campground

My wife and I stayed at the Dwellings at West Creek Campground, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The facilities were one of the cleanest I have ever seen throughout my entire life, and the host was very nice and flexible. The weekend we were there was very cold, so we ended up spending a lot of our time inside the shelter, but the experience was still amazing. Would definitely camp here again in the near future.

We loved the rustic cabin! The hosts provided plenty of wood to keep the fire going and lots of blankets to keep us warm in February. We had a hard time finding the location originally but after messaging them, the host met us out front to show us where to go. We would definitely love to go back.

Fairview Farms Airfield

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras * We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras! Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby. Note: Monthly rental discounts are available. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. Gorgeous Water Overlook

The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. (The structure is being renovated for a new experience next summer.) The pavilion is a short walk and has 2 bathrooms, a shower, and a kitchen. **The kitchen is only available if the pavilion is not being rented**. There is an additional fee to rent the kitchen.
