The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. (The structure is being renovated for a new experience next summer.) The pavilion is a short walk and has 2 bathrooms, a shower, and a kitchen. **The kitchen is only available if the pavilion is not being rented**. There is an additional fee to rent the kitchen. THE CAMPGROUND IS REGISTERED WITH MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHORT TERM RENTALS LICENSE # STR25-00075. The campground is situated in the wooded area on the back of 27 acre horse farm which is known as "The Stables at Mezza Luna." There is Wi-Fi to all the sites. Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! "They love peppermints, carrots and apples." Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner. Everyone we encountered was so nice and very helpful. Keith was awesome and even helped troubleshoot some issues we were having with our RV. He is a super nice gentleman I think I could talk with for hours. Farm is beautiful and very well maintained.

We loved camping at the pond! Mary was a lovely host. The spot was very peaceful and directions were clear. We saw two herons in the morning. We also enjoyed the ice cream made on the farm. Definitely plan to return.

Weekend Trip to HUNTER'S PARK BY WASHINGTON, DC

Hunters Park at Mezza Luna Farm was awesome. We stayed in the T1 site. Plenty of room for multiple tents and cars. There's firewood for sale right by the site, which was very convenient. There was an outdoor sink at the site, which was nice (though in colder months the water is shut off). There's a porta potty that was very clean - maybe the cleanest portapotty I've ever seen. The farm is beautiful with lots of horses to see. You're allowed to go visit them in the stables. There's plenty of paths to walk around the property if you want to go on a hike. Keith came by to visit - very friendly and welcoming. One family in our group had a couple small children. They did fine and loved seeing the horses. Damascus is very close by - easy access to groceries if you need anything. We'll be back again!

We absolutely loved our overnight on Mary's land Friday night. We were lucky enough to be the only campers. We typically camp primitive style but I needed reliable cell service due to being on medical call. My kiddos had a blast playing with the neighbor boys and are asking to go back next weekend:) The only thing that I am not sure about is how close the sites are together if all three sites are full since this was not our experience. We will definitely be back, thank you Mary!

I can’t say enough great things about our stay at White Squirrel Overlook! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and there was so much space to stretch out and unwind. We were in town for a dog sporting event, and it was such a gift to return each day to a hot, sparkling-clean shower after competing. Audra was wonderful to communicate with—friendly, responsive, and welcoming. We’re already looking forward to booking our next stay!

We enjoyed camping at blue ridge overlook. The field was well maintained and was covered in creeping thyme so it smelled amazing. The host was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. The fire pits are communal and not at each campsite.

Our group of nearly 30 people (including 20 kids!) had the most incredible time at this horse farm campsite. It was truly out-of-this-world perfect! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and full of fun things to do, but what really made the experience special was Keith, the owner. He is so kind, welcoming, and helpful—he went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us. The kids loved every minute, from exploring the farm to visiting the horses, and the adults couldn’t have asked for a better setting to relax and enjoy time together. It’s rare to find a place that works so well for such a big group, but this farm was absolutely perfect. We’ve already decided this will be an annual event and can’t wait to be back next fall. Highly, highly recommend!
