Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote.
With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. We sit at the midpoint between Grove City College (8 minutes) and Slippery Rock University (9 minutes). Today, you'll see the property offers a single site (with 50/30amp electric hookup and water) for those looking to escape the city and find reprieve in the country. Lord willin', more RV and camp sites will be on the way! We intend to be available May 1st to October 31st (weather pending). Pricing is about $40+ less (nightly) than the KOA! Plus you get a huge space.
There is no bath house, sewer/dump station (for black/gray water), or showers at this time, but you'll see we are working towards those things.
With good planning and if you prefer, we can be there to help you set up. The site will be clearly marked, and there is more than enough room to back in/out. We can host the largest of rigs (even up to 45 feet). As you can imagine, it takes a lot of mowing to manage grounds of this size. There is a red storage building (for our mower) about 10 yards from the site that we reserve the right to access. We want the place in top shape for you, and we will not mow or weed-wack near your site during your stay.
We do have three well behaved pups, and we are about 60 yards away from this site in our cabin. Sorry to say, we are not yet comfortable with guests bringing pets, but this may change soon. Must love dogs, because we do take ours throughout the property for exercise.
Though you will see sewer clean outs, our system is not equipped or available for RV septic use as this time. Tampering with or attempting to use the clean outs will likely lead to a discontinuation of your stay. Please forgive us, we are working on a plan for this in the future.

Seven Feathers has 6.5 acres with several wildflower and herb gardens, along with a small fruit Orchard! Our property is close to Allegheny River access with a local boat ramp in Reesdale, and a fishing pier at Lock 8. From here, you can take the locks all the way to Pittsburgh.
Several ATV trails have easy access because you can legally ride on the township roads! A lot of wildlife to see, including deer, bear, fox, coyote, several bird species, and bald eagles. We're close to State Gamelands for hunting. You're welcome to eat any fruit that has ripened here during your stay.
The miles of ATV trails are also fun to hike or ride your horse on. Campfires allowed, leashed pets allowed, must be leashed at all times, dogs, cats, and horses. Bring your pets! There is a spring with potable water on the property. Beautiful sunsets here, plus an amazing view across Reesdale Road. You might catch a rainbow too if it rains! Our personal favorite view is the vast nighttime sky. Perfect place for stargazers. Watch the beautiful sunrises and "moon-rises" over the tree tops.
You can run generators anytime, but please be considerate of other campers. Very Private location. There is a bar/restaurant close by in Adrian. It's 10 miles to downtown Kittanning, where festivals and concerts in the park are held, plus more restaurants, stores, and rails to trails for bike riders. There are fishing ponds and large glacial rock formations nearby.
Tours to the places mentioned can be scheduled for a fee if we're available. We will have a small map of the area with places marked. You're welcome to cut and use fallen trees. Please don't bring firewood from other counties due to the spread of diseases and destructive insects. Welcome to Seven Feathers, where you can just relax or partake in the recreational activities. I had the pleasure of an extended stay at Jeff's camp so I am taking the opportunity to write another review!
Jeff is super kind, flexible and an awesome Hipcamp host. If you get to talking to him, he will share some incredible history and prior photos of the campsite area. He's put a lot of time and dedication into making this an amazing and relaxing retreat for folks. I was fascinated to learn some historical details!
The space is tranquil, private and has all of the basics anyone would need at camp. Not to mention there's plenty of room for a large group or for kids and/or pets to run and play (with staying cautious around the train tracks).
For anyone passing through on the bike trail it is not far at all and would make a great overnight stop. There are very nearby provisions in town (Smithton) at a little market.
For travelers there is an RV dump and hot showers (towels/washcloth provided) right up the road at Flying J truck stop. Walmart and groceries are about 10 minutes away in nearby Belle Vernon.
Some nearby attractions include Smithton Beach for swimming, Bloom brewery in West Newton (with some great pizza shops, Fox Pizza being my favorite), Vinoski winery, Round Hill animal park in nearby Elizabeth (good for kids), and if you're up for the trip, Kennywood amusement park or the city of Pittsburgh.

Jeffrey's spot is incredible. Secluded, spacious, and peaceful, right on the river. The covered patio area is also really nice with picnic tables. I'm staying here while spending some time with nearby family, in my hand-built "tiny cabin on wheels."
Being originally from this area, I can tell you this is absolutely a rare hidden gem you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.
As a host, Jeffrey is extremely responsive, very chill and respectful, and has been very helpful.
My only heads up to other Hipcampers is that the train is right there, and travel into the site includes a very short stint across then next to the tracks. The train is loud - I'm used to it, I've been hearing that train most of my life - but if you're not used to trains it maybe a little loud at first.
But everything about the site is quite perfect, in my opinion. Even the train. :)

Very easy to find, well kept, quiet campsite by the creek. Though the weather was quite cold, I really enjoyed my stay at Muddy Myst. The trails were easy to navigate and the pond was beautiful! Can’t wait to come back in the warmer months for a dip!!

This was our first stay at Muddy Myst after looking at it on Hipcamp for a while now! With the state parks closing it was the perfect time to try this place out, and it was amazing!! Bill and Nancy were very quick to respond, accommodating and helpful! He even even offered to loan me a sleeping bag when the weather was colder than I'd planned for! I ended up caught in traffic and was not able to stay there, but I have their place on my list for cross-country drives!

Such a beautiful location. The views were amazing. The hosts were super accommodating and kind. They were on site when we visited, and they offered to give my nieces and nephews a ride in their buggy. They had a blast. Kids and dogs loved trekking through the creek and exploring the waterfall. The open field was great for us to play all sorts of games. Played capture the flag at night. All in all a great time.
