We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras * We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras! We are an active dairy farm in the rolling hills of Berks County, Pennsylvania. We take awesome sunrises and great star gazing for granted around here! Campsites are a 10-minute walk from the farm where all are welcome to interact with the animals or take a try at milking a cow. After all, you need milk and cream for breakfast!Its a ten minute drive to Blue Marsh Lake for Fishing, Biking, Hiking and Swimming. Its a 5 minute walk up to our Dairy Farm where you can visit with the cows and baby calves. There is a very nice view of Weiser's mountain. Sarah and Stein * Camp Blackbird is a 28 acre property that runs along Beltzville State Park in Carbon County, PA. So besides the camp, there is an additional 3,002-acres of state park to explore. There are a total of 2 sites. The land was vacant for decades and unfortunately used to dump household garbage during that time. We cleaned up the land, built a home and bat habitat. We, Sarah and Stein, always disliked renting a camp site somewhere and then ending up on top of people. So it was our goal to make space on our land for campers like us that want to be surrounded by nature, not other camp sites. A portion of the proceeds from your stay will be donated to bat habitat conservation and bat sanctuaries around the world. We are grateful for the hundreds of campers that have stayed with us. Thank you to all of you that have left a clean site and not made unnecessary noise that would disturb the countless species that share the forest with us. Also, Thank You for patronizing local businesses while you are here. We'll give you a map so you can see where to take a short walk to get to the lake. There are miles of hiking trails a few minutes walk from your campsite. Beltzville Lake is a great place for paddling. The boat launch is just a few minutes drive from Camp. In addition to the beautiful immediate surroundings, we are centrally located near many exciting destinations. Year round activities at Blue Mountain Resort, adventure on The Appalachian Trail, fine dining, biking the rail trail and whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, all within a 25 minute drive. The property is not suitable for parties or events. The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible. VERY IMPORTANT - NO PARTIES or unregistered guests on the property. There are other campgrounds in the area that are great for people who want to party. We welcome pets. Please add your photos! The property is not suitable for parties or events. The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible. You will learn firsthand what off–grid glamping is like…and that includes a hot-water shower. Absolutely beautiful dairy farm and we had the opportunity to take an impromptu hay ride with corn maze employees to check out the Christmas Village which amazing. “A little slice of Americana”. DJ and Loretta were super nice and let us explore the whole farm, talk to the all the cows. Even made a new friend Benny the cat who hung out with us at our campfire. 10/10 We will definitely be back!!!

Our time in the treehouse was magical. It was my 13 year old son and I. He is 6’1” and he was able to comfortably sleep in the loft. Bill and everyone at Fairview Farms was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stargazing was phenomenal; I highly recommend a dip in the hot tub under the stars. I would recommend bringing a heated blanket in the colder months. I brought ours and it was the perfect mix of cold and snuggly warm. There is a heater that works like a charm, with the blanket we only used it during the day.

We stayed at Fairview Farms Airfield in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, and it was one of the most peaceful weekends we’ve had in a long time. The property is beautiful, surrounded by rolling hills and open fields that make you instantly relax. It’s quiet, private, and feels like a place where time slows down. Bill was great to talk with—friendly, easygoing, and made sure we had what we needed. The site was level and easy to set up our camper. We really appreciated the thirty dollars a day for unlimited firewood. That was a nice touch, and we made sure not to take advantage of it. Sitting by the fire at night with the stars out and the moon glowing over the ridge was perfect. My dog loved it too, watching everything from the camper window and enjoying the calm. The place has a simple charm that makes you want to stay longer. We’ll definitely be back.

Bill and Erin have a beautiful farm. They make you feel like family. The property is scenic and peaceful. This is one of the ultimate spot for pure rest and relaxation. The property owner has anything you need to make your trip perfect... They offer firewood, eggs, grill/smoker, and hot tub packages( all for reasonable fee). They even offer some farm experiences like feeding and snuggling with their goats. My wife have really come to enjoy our time at the Airfield property.

Had such a lovely stay with Jackie and Chris. Not only were they super accommodating of our last minute booking, they moved our campsite to one safer and dryer in the weather. We spent a beautiful cozy night despite the rain, we even got to have a little fire before it got too wet! Wood bundles for purchase are large and generous. Got to meet both Chris and Jackie and felt like we'd known them for years. Highly recommend this sweet little spot-- we'll be back!!

We had a lovely time, the view is pretty. The bathroom and shower were nice and clean(water will take a few minutes to warm up don’t worry). Ground is pretty rocky so would definitely recommend having a hammer for stakes if tent camping. Each spot did have a picnic table and metal fire pit. We didn’t use any electric and if it were needed I assume there is a hookup closer to the bathrooms and would recommend setting up closer if electric is needed. Jim Thorpe wasn’t far and easily made it in town and also was easily able to get to AT trailhead for more beautiful sights.

We had a perfect fall Sunday followed by a rainy Monday that somehow made the cabin even better. Warm, quiet, and easy to settle into. Jennifer was kind and responsive, and everything felt thoughtful without trying too hard. We found and brought an old CD player, a crate of our old scratched mix CDs, and ended up listening by the fire, laughing at what used to be our favorite songs and what stuck. Turns out, that’s about as good as it gets. Highly recommend bringing a few of your own instant time machine.
