The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.
The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras *
We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

My husband, dog, and I loved our short overnight stay in the treehouse! It was very cute and cozy even in the cold temperatures. Our dog liked walking along the dirt road and watching the farm animals (from afar of course). We would love to stay again!

Fairview Farms was such a delight. From waking up amongst birdsong, to looking out all of the treehouse windows, to find different animals and expanses of land in each direction. Staying here was a beautiful retreat into serenity and we will most definitely be back! Our time in the treehouse was magical. It was my 13 year old son and I. He is 6’1” and he was able to comfortably sleep in the loft. Bill and everyone at Fairview Farms was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stargazing was phenomenal; I highly recommend a dip in the hot tub under the stars. I would recommend bringing a heated blanket in the colder months. I brought ours and it was the perfect mix of cold and snuggly warm. There is a heater that works like a charm, with the blanket we only used it during the day.

Bill and Erin were so helpful and friendly; you can tell they love creating a great experience for their guests. Give Yeti another hug for me when you see that giant white dog guarding the goat; he is the true g.o.a.t. Lol.
The tree house is amazing. It's exactly the type of club house my husband and I wanted as kids. The loft and ladder are super sturdy; I'm over 300 pounds with a bum knee and still shimmied up into the loft to sleep on the comfy queen mattress. We stayed in last September when it was like in the 70s during the day but 50s at night, and we never felt cold in the loft. Pro-tip: the light and ceiling fan in the first floor has a remote, so don't use the light switch.
Outside, under the house, is a little outdoor kitchen area with a propane griddle. That thing was so convenient. We had fresh eggs from the chickens on the property and pancakes in the morning with minimal fuss. It was such a relief after a day exploring the outdoors to just ignite that griddle for hamburgers and hot dogs instead of using my camp stove or the grate over the campfire. The fire pit did have a grate if you prefer to grill over an open flame, so options!
My favorite part was nighttime. Everyone was super respectful of noise policy, so with the exterior lights off, it was us, the insects, the night birds, at least one coyote, and the stars. Pure magic.

Our stay at the farm was a perfect peaceful getaway. The cozy treehouse was charming and comfortable, nestled in a great location near a state park within walking distance. Watching the beautiful sunset from the ridge was a highlight—absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were accommodating, with a sunset hayride, firewood and tomatoes from the garden, making the experience even more enjoyable.

What wonderful place to spend some time in nature. We loved our stay in the treehouse. There is a fire pit just outside and we made dinner over the fire while enjoying all of the gorgeous views of the farm. The bed in the loft was cozy and there was plenty of space in the tree house for us and our medium size pup. A friend camped in a tent below with his doggo too. Thanks to Bill for taking us on a ride to see everything! The goats, chickens, ducks, and vintage plane gave us plenty to do and look at. Can’t wait to come back again this fall!

Beautiful, peaceful, and unique spot. The treehouse is pretty cool. Definitely need to be able to climb a ladder if you want to sleep in the bed. Animals are super friendly. I didn’t get a chance to meet Erin, but Bill was very kind. He gave us a tour of the property and its history.

I went with my grandson who loved the treehouse. There was plenty of space on the 66 acres. Bill and Erin‘s hospitality was superb. The treehouse was clean. The weather was hot, but Bill and Erin had many fans to help us keep cool. The view from the top of the hill was beautiful. Sunsets were gorgeous.

Weekend Trip to Fairview Farms Airfield
The Treehouse stay at Fairview Farm was absolutely amazing. Instructions and directions about how to get on the property were very clear and easy to follow, we found our treehouse abode to be very easy to locate on the property as well. It was absolutely pleasant to be settled in between the chicken pen and the goat, and Cow pen. Carrie, the guard dog for the chickens does her job very well, and Yeti and guard dog for the goats and cows was SUPER friendly, definitely advise giving him pets when you pet the goats. Erin and Bill were very accommodating and answered all messages and questions I had, provided us seasoned DRY wood for starting fires, and farm fresh laid eggsfrom our chicken neighbors. The Treehouse in itself is small, cozy, comfortable and quaint. The hosts house is within view, but the trees and pine groves around the house make it very private. The treehouse stayed better cool in the day, due to the nice cross breeze and the 2 fans in there that are very helpful to keep the heat down, and kept it nice and cozy temperatures at night. Me and my boyfriend will definitely be back.

Absolutely peaceful place to stay. We camped for over a week in our rooftop tent and really wanted a place to unwind before going home, and not needing to setup/dismantle our tent. This was perfect. Quiet. Not too far off the beaten path and the bathroom was a bonus! The tree house itself was very roomy for the size and certainly felt private enough enough though the tree house itself seemed to be the center of attention on the property

It was awesome, I was originally worried it was too close to a house but no, it was in a grassy knoll, the tree gave shade and the hammock by the water was an awesome place to read a book.the tree house held the three of us like champs. We took the liberty of ordering some add one like the unlimited package so I could have no worries on supplies and we rented a kayak and John boat. Bill was awesome because we brought the wrong vehicle to take them to the lake so he let us slide him a measly 25.00 bucks n he delivered them and picked them up so we could still enjoy the water..im excited to hear they are open year around so we will be back for some winter camping
