If you come for the hunting, (in season) let us know in advance and we will help you secure the proper permits and learn the rules of the refuge. Speaking of the wildlife, come armed with your binoculars and a good camera. Common sightings include high and low-flying Bald Eagles and other birds of prey, as well as many varieties of colorful, native song birds. You may also encounter other woodland creatures, such as, White-Tail Deer, Black Bears, Coyotes, and of course, smaller furry critters, like raccoons, fox, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, beavers, ground hogs and opossum. Nestled in Pennsylvania Dutch country, between a large dairy farm and the Erie National Wildlife Refuge, Too Far Out Farm is favored for its natural beauty and tranquility. Residents of TFO Farm include horses, sheep, and various other friendlies of the canine and feline varieties. You could set your watch by the evening visits of our neighbors: A herd of very social dairy cows, who always seem to mosey on down right around supper time every evening. The primitive campsite will accommodate tents or a small RV. Don't worry about nosey or annoying camp neighbors, because we only book one group at a time - YOURS! The campsite includes a large fire ring, a limited amount of cut and stacked wood, a composting toilet and a small camp table. There is room for a smaller rig if you want to bring your RV or ATV. ATV or horse trail riding delights many a visitor all four seasons of the year around here. Our herd may be available for horseback riding on the back roads of Penn's woods, but please let us know ahead of time if you want to trail ride. I'm sorry, but we cannot accommodate your personal horses at this time. The farm is within walking distance of hiking and cross-country ski trails that meander through the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. Also, Crawford County's best kept secret for Perch, Walleye and Blue Gill fishing (including ice fishing) is a mile away at Sugar Lake. If you come for the hunting, (in season) let us know in advance and we will help you secure the proper permits and learn the rules of the refuge. Speaking of the wildlife, come armed with your binoculars and a good camera. Common sightings include high and low-flying Bald Eagles and other birds of prey, as well as many varieties of colorful, native song birds. You may also encounter other woodland creatures, such as, White-Tail Deer, Black Bears, Coyotes, and of course, smaller furry critters, like raccoons, fox, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, beavers, ground hogs and opossum. Be sure to steer clear of the skunks and the porcupines, though! We can't wait to share this little slice of heaven on earth with you at Too Far Out Farm!

Clean air and a clean campground❣️Definitely had a hippy vibe to it, and was not far from the highway. The staff was in contact with me right after my same day reservation, and the owner I met was welcoming. There are port a potties and showers available, but they are in the process of building an actual bathhouse. There is also a pet fee to be aware of. I would describe this as rustic camping, so do not expect something like a formal campground with paved parking spots, fire rings, and picnic tables at the sites. Think open farm field, walk in woods camping. I would stay again❣️

Our little family stayed in one of the tents this past weekend and upon our arrival we found a spacious tent with all the amenities for an outside gathering, outdoor cooking, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a separate game room. We were so impressed with the cleanliness, aesthetics, and personal touches that were left by the owners. Some shout outs: * We were given a separate heated bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet, and a personalized touch of our family name on a sign outside the door * A gathering area or hang out after hours with a fire cauldron * A coffee shop with specious coffee and chai lattes and reasonably priced breakfast options * Pickleball for our kids * Very kind and gracious hosts We will absolutely be back and recommend this as a place to visit to our friends and family!

We loved our stay at Streamside Eriegrove! Keith was a wonderful host—easy to communicate with, caring, and it’s clear he takes great pride in his property. The clean bathroom was such a bonus, and we loved the “bear shelter” for storing food and gear. There are plenty of flat tent spots, nice picnic tables, a great fire grate for cooking, and even hiking trails to explore. The creek was a blast for both people and dogs, and the whole property felt very private and peaceful. The string lights and the fun new lighted music trail made it feel extra special. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Absolutely magical! We’ll be back next year - probably for several days. It’s so easy to just relax and be present there - a world apart! The game room, playset, lake, fire pits, ample firewood, and facilities were just beautifully done and soooo worth it! My kiddos cried when it was time to leave. The hot dinners and s’mores kits available for purchase were such a nice touch too. I can’t forget to mention our gracious and friendly hosts too - they made us feel so welcome!

Definitely such a different environment and it's beyond anywhere I've stayed before. From the sounds of horse and buggies coming down the road to the owls at night. You get to experience a very peaceful space with so much to see on the property and even locations nearby. Everyone we met who worked there were the most genuine and nicest people ever. Weekend Trip to The Heron Farm & Event Center

When we got there I wasn't handed a bunch of papers and rules so I was a little unsure how everything was going to go, but I soon realized everyone was incredibly helpful, they have signs everywhere with what you need to know so they don't have to waste paper and they were just easy going and accommodating. As a single mom camping with a small child every interaction with guests and staff was positive and I never felt uncomfortable. The staff, realizing I had a small child, offered suggestions that made all the difference and later realized they were teachers. Highly recommend. We look forward to coming back 😊
