Our unique location is close to Bend city limits and right next to Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trails. BLM land surrounds the area, and is even accessible from the upper part of our property. Come out and enjoy the high desert and explore the juniper forest.

The tent sites offer a comfortable setting for your tent in the sandy dirt.

We have a small community area, there you will find a small outdoor kitchen with a large blackstone, small bbq and little cooking/eating utensils.
(We have no water or electricity on-site)
This is also where the trash bins are located.
We have a basketball hoop, yoga deck, and pull up /hanging bars.
Next to the community area is where you will also find the bathroom, which is a clean porta potty.
Come enjoy wandering the juniper forest and sage brush in Central Oregon’s high desert. We are next to 100’s of acres of BLM land, including the Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trail System. There is hiking, biking, horse trails and ATV trails all nearby. Our open skies are great for daydreaming and stargazing. Come see how bright the milky way is out here Sage Ridge.

Boggan's Oasis is in the SE corner of Washington state, right on the breathtaking Grande Ronde River. Visitors can arrive by driving to the bottom of Rattlesnake Grade (WA-129), or the bottom of Buford Grade (OR-3). These two curvacious roads are extremely popular rides for motorcyclists and bicyclists nationally. Visitors may also arrive by water (rafts, driftboats, jetboats, kayaks, etc) coming downriver from Oregon, or upriver from the Snake River (WA/ID). Many other unpaved roads will lead guests to our canyon, which creates great opportunities for off-road vehicle adventures!
The Grande Ronde River, which drains much of northeast Oregon's Union and Wallowa counties, is fed by snowpack in the Elkhorn Mountains. The Wallowa River, a major tributary to the Grande Ronde, headwaters in the Wallowa Mountains, mostly within the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Twenty-two miles from Boggan's Oasis, the Grande Ronde River flows into the mighty Snake River. The river is surrounded by steep, rugged canyon walls that rise 3000 to 4000 feet above the river level. Dense conifer forests blend into grassy slopes set off by scattered conifer "stringers." Called "The Land of Winding Waters" by Native Americans, the river is home to rainbow trout, dolly varden, whitefish, squawfish, suckers, bass, and steelhead. Rocky Mountain elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, bighorn sheep, bear, bald eagles, and a variety of smaller animals and birds can be seen daily. And yes, there are rattlesnakes!
Fishing, hunting, hiking, all kinds of boating/floating, offroad vehicle riding, and animal/bird watching are beyond expectations in this area. Seasonally, guests can also successfully gather a variety of mushrooms and berries while on one of the many nearby hiking trails. Many of these short walks also lead to incredible, far-reaching views of the Blue Mountains, Wenaha wildlife sanctuary, Hells Canyon, and the tri-state area. In the hotter summer months, the swimming hole below the Boggan's Bridge is a popular way to cool off.

We only allow one reservation per night. You can arrange vehicles or tents to not be in view or block any view from house way above. 320 acres to hike and roam. Mitchell is 10 miles away with well stocked grocery and feed store, restaurants, small brewery, and tire shop. We give directions fairly quickly. Road is wide, but steep at top. 4 wheel drive is recommended. Very close to the Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National monument, Ochoco National Forest is seven miles. John Day River for swimming, rafting about 20 minutes. If you can book, it means you can drive on up with out contacting us. As you drive in if at night, you will see a light on the outhouse.

My family has owned the ranch since 1977. We bought it from my parents a few years ago to keep it in the family. We love living here, and although it is just the two of us working it, we are slowly getting it to what we want it to be. The house we live in is over 100 years old and used to be a stage coach stop back in the late 1800's to early 1900's, You can still see some of the old stage coach roads on the property, and we are trying to preserve those the best we can. Also in the early 1900's this ranch used to be the place to go on the fourth of July. People from all over would bring their prize horses to compete in a horse race for the name of the fastest horses around While others would bring picnic baskets to set back on the knoll in one of our fields to watch. What a view! Easy to set up, water and electric right there. Level and gravelly. Across the road is a field where Balds and Goldens gather every morning. It was magical! And Shasta is the backdrop for all of this! Laurie is responsive but let's you be. Go and camp there!

This is a lovely camping site with very nice hosts. The camp cat is very curious and friendly and came up to say hi during our stay. It’s also a well laid out site and we enjoyed the site, even one our weather filled night, and we’d love to check it out in another season. :)

Cabin was great, Clean, Cozy, and inviting. I do wish they provided a better bbq or cookware, but we had a feeling so came prepared. The host was awesome and did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable. It was a really nice stay!

Louis and Tia were awesome hosts and the cabin (I was switched to cabin 3) was perfect for what I needed. I was out for a trip to fish the Grande Ronde for fall steelhead. There was plenty of easy access even when towing a trailer/raft to get around to the front of the cabin, as well as "raft parking" where I could leave my rig since it had a trailer. The property is well kept and has a fun vibe. The cabin was cozy and had three beds (two singles and a double). I'd say bring some silverware, cups, kitchenware, etc., if you plan to cook or make coffee. I planned on doing some camp-cooking on the front porch so had those supplies anyways, otherwise the restaurant has everything you'd need.
The restaurant was awesome and the crew there was VERY accommodating even when I rolled in five minutes prior to closing to get a burger. In general the vibe is super chill and the folks are super nice.
Would I recommend this place to others and will I be back? You can bet on it. Thanks for a great weekend Louis and Tia!

Great camping spot! We showed up on a whim, booked a site, and had a nice night camping! The stars are mind blowing. The area is pretty sandy though, so be prepared for some cleanup afterwards.
There was also a verrrry friendly kitty that came to say hi (and tried to go home with us) which added some fun to the evening.

Sandy and Tim’s tipi was so fun and it’s beautifully made! Inside, it’s spacious enough to setup camp and still stand and easily move around. The fire pit was worth it on a cold night as it easily kept us cozy and warm all night. The community space is thoughtfully setup with many resources. The tuxedo cat (unsure their name but we called them “Noodle”) joined us at the community space, then followed us back to the tipi. We were happy to have their companionship, but heads up in case that’s not your preference because it did sneak its way through the main zipper of the tent. 10/10 would recommend.
