Located in the Willamette Valley, where route 240 and 47 meet is the small town of Yamhill. just 3 miles out of town there is a 66 acre farm with forest covered hills, rolling hay fields and a small seasonal creek.
We welcome you to come enjoy some peaceful rest on our farm.
We have 2 camp sites available and more coming soon nestled in the trees across the open hay field where you can watch wildlife.
each site has access to the composting toilet, has their own picnic table, fire ring, access to water, and some extras like hay that can be used for under tents, kindling to help start your fire, a fire extinguisher, access to a propane fire ring during fire danger season, and a few yard games. we do have fire wood available to purchase as well as farm fresh eggs.
the camp sites are seasonal and most will be closed for the wet winter months. they will be open from June to September, depending on the weather we may need to adjust the access to the sites. at times they may be walk in only (about 200ft walk) or four wheel drive access only as they are in a low area of the farm and do not wish anyone to get stuck. if access has been changed I will notify you as soon as I can with an update.
you are welcome to walk around during your stay, pick some blackberries, apples or plums but please be aware and careful as we do have some poison oak on the property. I encourage you to stay on a path.
please message me if you would like a tour of the farm we have a horse boarding stable, rabbits, chickens and goats ( for your safety please do not enter any barns or pastures without permission , preferable accompanied)
you can see and hear some of the animals but most are far enough away that they are not disturbing.

We are located in Banks, Oregon. We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Badminton and cornhole available on request. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome!
We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them.
Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer.
We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots.
We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of.
During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like.
Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. Please, only book if you have an RV with working plumbing. **We will not accept tent campers**

The Shire was a very peaceful place to stay. There are trees around, as well as a big open meadow. It's close to town for everything you need, but the property feels very quiet and private! I definitely recommend staying here.

I loved RV camping at this property. It was incredibly quiet during the day. Having the fire pit and table right next to the camping site was perfect. We biked each day on the Banks/ Vernonia trail.
Talon was very friendly and checked in to see if we needed anything. We would definitely camp there again.

We brought our RV out to Oregon for a friend’s wedding. Talon’s property was perfect for us. Our toddler loved all the open grass to run around on, and we thought it was beautiful. It was quiet and relaxing. Bonus points for Stanley the dog 😄

I loved staying in my trailer at The Shire. It was a hidden gem, very close to Battle Ground (any store and restaurant you might need), but you feel tucked away in another world with the trees around you and the huge field across from you. It was very nice having full electric hookups, water and WiFi as well. I ended up using the AC in August, and modern conveniences are always nice when you still have to vist the real world occasionally.

We really enjoyed our time at this site! Its nice to have some room to stretch out and let the dogs be off leash. We were able to park under the cover, which offered a lot of shade. The area was nice and grassy, so our baby was able to crawl around without getting coated in dirt.
In terms of location - an hour to cannon beach. Close to a bike trail (like 3 minutes). Access to wineries - we enjoyed Joseph Jane, which was about 30 minutes away. We will definitely be back :)

Peaceful and quiet spot with water and electric hookups. A previous review caused me concern by stating it was closer to the owners residence than they expected. I found that critique inaccurate. The site is at least 100 yards from the residence and it is surrounded on three sides with thick brush and trees. We had a pleasant night's stay and the owner gave a recommendation where we could get a good meal and a beer. It did not disappoint.

One of the nicest places we've stayed. What a gorgeous and spacious setting! So close to all the fun things the coast range has to offer. Talon and his family are such kind, attentive, and accommodating hosts. Easy utility hook ups, tons of room, so much fresh air, quiet, and privacy. So easy to pull in on arrival, and back out on departure. We were sad to leave, and will definitely be visiting again.

This is one of the best Hip camp sites that I've stayed at. There is plenty of open space but also there are plenty of trees for privacy. It gives the feel of camping out in nature but it's also very close to Vancouver and Portland. The trees did block my Starlink a little but it was good enough for emails and I had good cell coverage for T Mobile and Verizon so this is a nice place for remote work.

Absolutely loved camping at Daniel's property. We kicked back in our camping chairs and enjoyed both nights of the fireworks. We had excellent views of the fireworks from the stadium.
