We have a Yurt, a cabin, 3 RV/Travel trailer pads and 2 tent sites created here and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space yet be all together. You can book the entire campground, or just one of the units. Whether it's just you, or you're bringing a crew, we know you'll love it here!
Our favorite hikes in the Central Oregon area is Smith Rocks and Chimney Rock. The Prineville reservoir is roughly a 12 minute drive and the starry nights here are something to behold.
Up the road is the most unique petting zoo that we recently found! Find it and you might just be able to hold a baby kangaroo!
Boondocking site means there is no hook-ups or running water so you'll want to bring in your own water and heat if you're here in the colder months.
Your four legged furry family members are welcomed! They must be accompanied at all times and not left on the property alone. The dog run is for you to keep closer tabs on them while relaxing, not for leaving them while going into town or enjoying the area. The dirt is very soft and it wouldn't take very long for them to dig under to get out and go looking for you. The cabin or yurt is also not a pet storage area - with no power or AC, pets are not allowed to be left alone in the dwellings.

Park in our large wrap-around driveway under our beautiful Ponderosa pines and fall asleep to the gorgeous view of the stars with no obnoxious streetlights. Don’t worry, we have a flood light and cameras to keep you and your stuff safe! Then wake up to the smell of our Juniper trees and watch our local group of mule deer grazing through the yard with views of Tumalo Mountain. Just across the street starts the Canal Trail that heads East and West. A 5 min bike ride East along the trail will take you to a Fred Meyer Grocery store, Starbucks, and much much more. Or take the Canal Trail West through the massive 123+ acres of forested public land that connects directly to the Deschutes River Trail (only 4 mins away). Once there, the outdoor activities are endless! Great fishing, bouldering, biking, swimming, rafting, and nature viewing spots are all within a couple minute walk from our home. Heading to the Old Mill or Hayden Homes Amphitheater for some shopping, a concert, restaurants, or drinks? It all starts 3/4 of a mile down the hill! Our property is 10 acres of cow pasture and Juniper trees. We live on the land and have a furnished sleeps 4-6 people rental available for those who arent camping. There are mountain views, ponds, and space to make your campsite during your stay. Our property is near the Bend, Oregon, municipal airport with fun planes flying around, creating the perfect spot for anyone who loves aviation. Right now, we have the ability for you to hook up to a sewer dump but no water or electrical connections. There is also no access to a bathroom, so you need to have that packed for yourself. Bend is an amazing outdoor adventure park, and if you need a place to stay in your camper/RV or post up a tent for the night, we are happy to help accommodate. We have a nice hot tub that you can use for $10 per person for your entire stay. We have friendly dogs that roam our property but we can put them inside if you would like. We love meeting new people and sharing travel stories :)

Haley and her husband Lance are incredibly friendly and generous. This place was quiet, peaceful, and had just what we needed for a quick overnight stay. We had access to a bathroom and hot showers. Lance was quick to make sure we settled in comfortably and Haley directed us to a yummy breakfast plane in Bend, the Sparrow Cafe. Be sure to love on their sweet dogs, my fave was Wrangell.

Simple, level, shaded spot to stay right off the road so there is traffic noise but it didn’t bother us. 1 mile from The Mill District.There is a historic canal trail about 150 feet from the property. Really ice trail. The dogs loved it.

Camp spot had everything we needed; secure place to store our bikes/gear, privacy, clean bathroom/shower, water, power. Owner was also very nice and had cute dogs. Much better option than trying to camp down a remote service road, dealing with overcrowded campgrounds, or paying the outrageous prices for lodging in Bend. Definitely recommend this spot.

2 nights at Desert Rose Private Campground
To find Jacob's, you'll snake back through a rural "neighborhood" for a while -- but then! Just like that! You're alone! In the middle of nowhere! While not 100% remote, it did feel like we had a lot of space and privacy. The land is divided clearly into different spots, which would make it excellent for mixed group camping (e.g. folks in the group could stay in different accommodation types: tent + yurt + wooden goddess). We stayed in the Wooden Goddess and found it to be clean (no cobwebs or dust), equipped with sturdy furniture (basic futon & coffee table), and secure (windows and doors sealed well from the elements). We brought a table to set up an outdoor kitchen for our stay, and thought an outdoor picnic table nearby would have been nice. (There are some tables around the property, so it's probably just a matter of moving tables around?) We loved our stay, and took astrophotography from the property because it was so dark and night sky visibility was great! We did not have to battle extreme heat during our stay, but be warned: there isn't a lot of natural shade nearby, so keep that in mind if you do book in this area!

We had a great stay. Mike was very hospitable, friendly, and responsive. He went out of his way to make sure we are settled and ok. The location is great, within 3/4 of the Old Mill District. He also gave us lots of tips of things to do and places to see in beautiful Bend.
