You will wake up in the morning to the sound of roosters crowing and our crew of friendly animal residents. It can be noisy at times but we find it delightful! The Space: Our hand made tiny house offers a double sized mattress (bedding included) in the upstairs area (access via an attached ladder). Room for an additional person across from double bed also in upstairs area or put provided mat on the floor. Please note: the space is small for 3 people and better serves 2.
The Kitchen: Tiny house kitchen area has a small refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. We now have a new small outdoor kitchen with a two burner propane stove and an outside fish washing station.
The Facilities: The tiny house offers a composting toilet for night time pee pee needs and offers a port-a-potty for all other uses please! If you want to know a secret river dipping spot or where to go to find a sauna I’m happy to share!
Outdoor Shower: We have a lovely little “instant hot” shower for use on non freezing days.
The Location: We are conveniently located between beautiful Bend, Oregon and Sisters, Oregon. We have hiking and biking trails within .3 of a mile! We also have books to recommend 100's of other hiking, biking, nordic skiing and alpine skiing nearby! And, since we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to recommend places to ski, hike, mountain bike, float or paddle!

One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. Area attractions include the Deschutes River, Mt. The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The Kitchen: Tiny house kitchen area has a small refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. We now have a new small outdoor kitchen with a two burner propane stove and an outside fish washing station.
The Facilities: The tiny house offers a composting toilet for night time pee pee needs and offers a port-a-potty for all other uses please! If you want to know a secret river dipping spot or where to go to find a sauna I’m happy to share!
Outdoor Shower: We have a lovely little “instant hot” shower for use on non freezing days.
The Location: We are conveniently located between beautiful Bend, Oregon and Sisters, Oregon. We have hiking and biking trails within .3 of a mile! We also have books to recommend 100's of other hiking, biking, nordic skiing and alpine skiing nearby! And, since we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to recommend places to ski, hike, mountain bike, float or paddle!

We have a private, single site located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Rainbow, Oregon. The campsite is near our home, but feels private. The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. This is an incredible find right in Sisters. Walkable to downtown. Drew was such a great host, helped with anything we needed. The spot was set up nicely with electricity and he had extension cords we could use to get it to the tent. He had lots of firewood on site. The neighborhood was cute and neighbors were all very nice and welcoming. Would certainly go back!

Bonita had the place all warmed up when I arrived and sent detailed easy check in instructions. I was there for cozy solitude and the bunkhouse delivered. I drove ten hours to get to this amazing spot and I’m so glad that I did. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Steve has created an absolutely magical paradise along the river, and I can’t wait to go back.
There are numerous places to choose from where you can park and all of the views are spectacular. There are seating areas up above the river where you can make breakfast and relax or you can take a short walk (a few stairs) down to the river and enjoy numerous seating areas down there.
The sound of the river is so therapeutic. You just get lost in it. There’s a fire pit where you can relax and plenty of space to set up your stuff. It was raining while I was there and host Steve was fine with me setting up a pop-up over the fire pit to keep it dry and create a space outside to relax even in the rain.
Speaking of Steve, he is wonderful. The perfect host. He checked in and let me know he was available but also gave plenty of privacy. I needed to borrow a tarp and he helped immediately. He’s knowledgeable of the area and super easy going.
The area has so many things to see and do. I went to numerous waterfalls and on so many beautiful hikes. Sisters, Oregon is only an hour away and such a cute spot to go grab coffee and lunch. The coffee shop a mile down the road makes THE BEST lattes and has a cute little gift shop attached.
I really can’t express enough how perfect this spot is. Steve has put his whole heart into making a space for people to enjoy.

We love this Upriver spot!! It was our second time staying here. It's a perfect set up for groups with both RV's and tent campers. Lots of space, with a large fire pit and walking trails down to the river. Steve keeps it tidy with just the right amount of yard art and additional landscaping. He lives on site, so he's available if you need anything, but keeps to himself. The location is great for golfing, fishing, hiking--with easy access to the Willamette National Forest.

Weekend Trip to Rags To Rescues Sanctuary
We stayed in the Bunkhouse. The listing definitely undersells how beautiful this place is. Super spacious, well appointed kitchen, super comfy everything, awesome hot tub, and animal friends! When we weren't relaxing or staring at the stars while having a soak, we got to know the cute critters that call this place home. Bonnie is a fantastic host and I love that the proceeds from our stay went to the sanctuary. We will definitely be staying again.

Steve’s property is immaculate and he was an amazing host. We had such a great time just hanging out at camp all day and watching the river. Our 1 year old son also loved it. So many thoughtful touches all across the property, we will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Tranquil Wood Shedteau
Cute and cozy stay! The woodshed was larger than I thought it would be and stayed so warm and cozy on a freezing night. The grounds were very cute and our pups enjoyed the space. Would book again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Upriver Paradise and it was truly a delightful experience for us and our friends who came along with their trailer too! Plenty of room for both of us to park our trailers with riverfront views. Beautiful, private spot in the forest along a picturesque river, a perfect escape into nature! The scenery is amazing and Steve has done a fantastic job putting his personal touches all around this retreat! We enjoyed the soothing sound of the flowing river, it's a great spot for relaxation. It’s also a great spot for exploring near by waterfalls, hot springs and lakes! The grounds are well-maintained, with the cleanest porta potty you will ever see. There are plenty of chairs, picnic tables and benches throughout the retreat as well. Overall, I highly recommend Upriver for anyone looking to connect with nature. We can't wait to return!
