Heart of Sisters

2 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Sisters, OR
In the city limits of Sisters. Just a few block walk to parks and downtown Sisters where tourists get trapped. Good for getting close spots for events like Sisters Folk Festival. Couple blocks from the Buckrun Trail head and 15 min drive to Three Creeks Lake. Firepit, Bbq, and grills available for use and can work out deals with the host for prepared meals. I do social media videos on the food I make and if you own a small business and would like to talk about your business on my live streams or make some quick promo videos then that is something we can discuss. Just message me or bring it up on arrival. You can find my youtube channel at youtube.com/@LearnWithDanaris

Tom's Rest Canyon Retreat Center

5 sites · RVs, Tents20 acres · OR
TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process, while overwhelming, has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials. We continue to use our funds to promote healing in grief and other trials of life. We would appreciate hearing from those that have anything to contribute in way of maintenance and housekeeping, services to provide those in need such as massage or counseling, or any other contributions you are led to give. We are developing a list of volunteers to be called upon when someone in need is referred to us and will keep you informed as things develop. Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times. Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will be ministering to those in need through your paid visits here and hopefully, gain some needed respite of your own. We have taken every precaution for distancing and cleanliness with the ever changing Covid policies for your safety and concerns. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired. My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. May we collectively create TOM'S REST with Tom's intention and the passion he infused in us to carry it through to fulfillment.

Park your twenty-six foot or less trailer in the middle of five acres with access to your own private picnic table and fire pit (Firewood available $5 bundle). The campsite boards a small farm with goats, sheep etc. There is a propane barbeque with one cook top burner (Propane included). Located in Central Oregon and minutes from Tumalo State Park is the Deschutes River that runs through downtown Bend offering lazy raft or tube floating, biking, hiking and an amphitheater with top name bands every few weeks. Less than ten minutes from both the Cascade shopping center with many restaurant options to the south and Tumalo Town offering food carts at “The Bite Tumalo” with tasty local beers on tap to the north. There, you will find a general store offering refillable beer and cider growlers and a deli with both diesel and gas. There is also a coffee shop, pizza parlor, tavern and the historic “Tumalo Feed Co. Steakhouse” with an old town western feel. For your adventures, there’s Smith Rock State Park 30 minutes north and Mt Bachelor around 45 minutes south for you downhill and Nordic skiers. OtterLodge

1 site · Lodging52 acres · Sisters, OR
OtterLodge lies at the end of the road, on the rim of beautiful Whychus Creek Canyon. The property is surrounded by 60-acre Aspen Hollow nature preserve to the north, 40 unoccupied private acres to the south, and 40 acres of conservation easement to the west--so we're surrounded here by of over a hundred acres of nature. One of only three Golden Eagle cams in the world is located on this property. (The other two are in Europe. The website is www.GoldenEagleCam.org, and the camera streams from mid-February when the eggs are laid, to early June, when the babies fledge.) Other animals I've seen here: wild turkey, deer, Western Lynx, and mountain lion (don't worry--they're shy!). There are beaver and otters in the nature preserve to the north, and I recently had to pause as I was driving out to let a stampede of elk pass over the driveway! Imagine being able to enjoy all that from the comfort of your own Happier Camper modern retro travel trailer! There's a big, comfy bed, and a kitchen (see pics for details). There's wifi available in the trailer--but if you'd prefer to go on a digital diet while you're here, I can withhold the password if you'd like! ;-) There's no bathroom in the trailer, but you will have access to the bathroom in the shop about 100 paces away. Like most shop bathrooms, it's nothing fancy--but it does have a flush toilet, hot and cold running water, and a shower. Other amenities include a climbing rock, horseshoe pits, short (1-2 mile) hikes out the door, excellent star-gazing (very little light pollution), and several benches/chairs/tables set up around the place to take in the views. If you brought bikes and want to bike to town, it's about 8 miles via the scenic bike route (or a 6.7 mile drive via the highway). It's dog heaven out here, and dogs are quite welcome, provided they get along well with other dogs, of whom there are currently four in residence. Your area is not fenced (although I can provide 16 feet of portable dog pen, if you'd like), and my four are often with me around the property (i.e., not behind a fence). So please tell me *before booking* if your dog does not get along well with other dogs and we can discuss the details, and see if we can work something out. Note: the trailer only has room for two adults; there is a queen bed, a small kitchen, and only a few square feet of open floor space. If you book for more than 2 people, you must provide a tent, bedding, and camp mats for those people. (Only exception would be a small, co-sleeping child.) There is a flat tent site just a few feet from the trailer.

2 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Bend, OR
Located 9 miles east of Bend our 40 acre ranch is full of open fields and juniper forest. We have cows, chickens, geese and ducks that live on the ranch and you will most likely see them roaming around the fields. The nights are quiet with the exception of frogs and crickets and offer a full night sky without light pollution.

The Yknot Ranch

1 site · RV, Tent20 acres · Bend, OR
We live on 20 secluded acres surrounded by National Forest/BLM Land. We are 10 minutes from downtown Sisters where you can enjoy the western themed town. Don't forget to visit Sisters Bakery for great pastries, Boone Dog for wood fired pizza, or Three Creeks Brewing. Peterson Ridge TH for mountain biking and close proximity to many trails, creeks and lakes. Heading from our property 20 minutes the other direction is Bend. 30 minutes to Redmond Airport. At the Yknot Ranch (because, "Why Not?"), you can enjoy the quiet (unless there's a coyote serenade) and dark skies at night. The milky way along with many stars are quite visible on clear evenings. We live in a migratory route-plenty of deer wandering through. There's a fire pit for you to use within 75' of the spot. Feel free to sit in the shade by our small pond where the frogs inhabit in the springtime. A level 58' x 14' spot with full hook ups: includes water, sewer and 30 amp power. Unobstructed views from the property of The Three Sisters. Bring your gravel, e-bike or mountain bike and ride from the property onto Forest Service Roads. We have a gate so no one will be coming onto the property without our knowledge. Unhook your camper, drive down the gravel road and cross the bridge over the Tumalo Dam (Built in 1915 and never held water), drive further to the Tumalo Reservoir for a stroll. Another 10 minutes down the road brings you into Tumalo where The Bite serves drinks and four food trucks to choose from.

Experience Heaven

11 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents157 acres · La Pine, OR
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers. The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to October 15 and the Gers are all 12 months. Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. This being the 4th year, things have gotten a little out of hand. So let's regergitate some things and make sure everyone understands how it is. If you aren't capable of practicing the 5 P's, then you need to book somewhere else. Proper Preperation Prevents Poor Performance. If you can't get here and have your camp set up by 8:00PM, showing respect to the other Hipcampers that are already set up and enjoying the PEACE AND QUIET, then you need to book somewhere else or don't come until the following morning. No driving down to the campsites/the lake after 8::00PM. Period. Communicate with me. If you leave Portland at 5:00 PM with the intention of spending the night in Heaven then you need to alter your plans. No more than 4 adults at each campsite. I am almost to the point of saying no BIG DOGS. If you got big dogs, my suggestion is you go book someplace else. Talk to me. It is a given they willl need to be on a tethered throughout your time in Heaven. Take them for walks along the lake, not having them run thru everyone elses camp sites. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no yippers, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. You need to listen to music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. The chipmunks, the squirrels, all the different birds, the eagles, the osprey, the fish jumping, the deer roaming, the timber martins running thru the trees, the snowshoe rabbits and the occasional black bear. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”. So, while you are here, take a deep breath, close your eyes at the appropriate moment and ask yourself, am I on the right path? Is what I am doing fulfilling me? Am I showing my family and friends how much I love them? Do I really need all that crap I got? Where do I go from here? My intention was for each one you to not just go camping, or to stay in a Mongolian Ger but to have an “Experience” that just might lead you to a more fulfilling and happier life.

Quiet RV Parking in Midtown Bend

2 sites · RVs1 acre · Bend, OR
We have an nice flat parking spot outside our house on the street. The street is quiet, especially at night. Feel free to bring your pet, and let us know if you want any local recommendations! We are a 5-10 min drive from pretty much everything in town, could walk or ride bikes to downtown/old mill/box factory, etc. Sometimes larger RV's can kill our breaker, its just a 110V plug. We will do our best to accommodate power and water needs, but just a heads up that the larger or older models can cut the breaker and may not be viable on our power system. If you have more questions feel free to text Kyle at (909) 528-7214.
