Everything about our stay at David's was incredible, starting with him. After pre-arrival instructions/how-to from him, he greeted us upon arrival to give us a lay of the Ger along with a lay of the land. He is a kind, straight-shooting man with an INCREDIBLE story (I'd encourage a chat with him). The Ger and the land were amazing. We had everything we needed for an elevated and unique camping experience within the Ger. Outside, David stewards a prime lakefront beach property, idyllic in so many ways, not the least of which is it's quite serenity. I'll definitely be coming back and encourage you to visit.

Julie and Clay were great hosts! The cabin was so cute. Snug but very homey. The property was spacious and will definitely be coming back with more of our friends. The porta-potty even flushed. There was a grill available for use and lots of seating around the fire pit. We loved lasso-ing and seeing the wildlife in the area

Weekend Trip to log shelter retreat
The hosts were extremely nice and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable right from the start. The trailer experience was such a rare and enjoyable opportunity. The entire site, including the restroom, was very clean and well maintained. The location was easy to find, and at night it was perfectly quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, unique, and relaxing stay.

We had so much fun sleeping in the yurt at East Lake. David was a welcoming host, and he was so unique and fun to talk with too. His property is so special. The boats and paddleboard were fun and it was fun letting my dog run. He loved it; definitely in his element as a lake dog. The yurt was well equipped with everything you could need to cook and it was clean and comfortable. Obsidion speckled the roads and was fun to collect. May daughter and I walked along the edge of the lake all the way to the resort, which was so peaceful and fun. The camping area seemed so fun too- lots of space. The energy was really special. We want to go back and stay longer! Hopefully next summer!

Great hosts! Very responsive and friendly, even though it was a last minute booking. We appreciated the motion activated lights on the way to the portapotty. The camp is on property in a rural neighborhood with other homes with acreage around. The trees provide some privacy and gave it a feeling of being in the woods. Amazing star view at night!

We had a great stay at Julie and Clay’s and look forward to coming back for a longer stay next time. They are wonderfully warm and welcoming, and greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The cabin was adorable and the kids loved the loft. The location is quiet and safe with recreational opportunities within a walking distance - or we could play ping pong and horseshoes near the fire pit! A great spot with great hosts! Highly recommend!

What a unique and fun experience! I've enjoyed camping at David's property before, but this was our first time staying in the Ger. It has everything we needed for a quick overnighter. We made use of the BBQ on the deck as it was quite hot to cook inside. The access to the private Lakeshore and the water is lovely!

We had a great time in The Osprey yurt. It is well equipped and a cozy place to spend the night. The kitchen is well equipped and it has a fire pit on the deck that is great for smores. The host was very friendly and offered water and other supplies. My daughter said the portapotty was the nicest she had ever seen and it did indeed smell very clean.
We enjoyed the boats that are free to use, walking the beach, and finding obsidian.

I love the peaceful atmosphere that Julie and Clay created. It is a unique property that has lovely public areas, such as the campfire, as well as a well-appointed cabin with delicious coffee. We enjoyed a great stay at the Osprey! Beautiful, comfortable yurt, thoughtfully outfitted with everything you want: sitting chairs, couch, electric outlets, refrigerator, toaster oven, hot water kettle, camp stove, utensils, even a gas grill and WiFi! Leave your gear at home!
Beautiful covered deck with picnic table to enjoy the birds and chipmunks.
An assortment of water toys for guests including canoes, row boats, and paddle boards line the beach.
Ultra clean porta potties for guests, as there is no running water.
David is on site and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Take time to chat with an incredible man to learn about his incredible experiences. He is the real deal!

Beautiful little trailer! Although I was gonna most of the time to a festival, I did get to play some of the on site games, walk around the area, and enjoy the comfort of the little trailer. I liked having the little table area, and windows to open when it was cool!

We loved every minute of our stay! David was a wonderful and generous host. Both ger’s were clean and fully stocked, which made traveling with littles super easy. We saw tons of wildlife and enjoyed kayaking, the hot springs, swimming, hiking, and made lots of memories. We cannot wait to go back!

This place truly is something special. The ger was plenty of space for our 4 person family, and it was very clean and fully stocked with everything we could’ve needed and more! You really do not need to bring much. We did bring queen sheets for the pull out, but there were plenty of blankets available to keep warm in the chilly evenings. It does get chilly in the ger at night, so plan accordingly. The buddy heater was super efficient at warming it early in the mornings. If you’re traveling with littles, you’ll need to keep a close eye on them (as you would), because the decks are built on the side of a hill with a steep drop off. We brought our 18 month old, and it was totally fine.
Dave was an incredible host! He was very generous, fun to speak with, and was there to answer any questions we had. His pup Stormy was sweet with the kiddos. There was lots of wild life, chipmunks, rabbits, deer, eagles, and more. While there we enjoyed kayaking, nearby hot springs, hiking, fishing, and swimming.
If you’re looking for a magical and serene adventure on a beautiful lake, with an awesome host, but one that doesn’t require you to pack for tent camping, this is the spot for you! We are already planning for our return next year.

Our family really enjoyed our stay in the Osprey. It was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable for our family of four. David is an incredibly gracious host and Stormy is an absolute delight. We will definitely be back to stay again in the future!

Amazing location. Wonderful accommodations. Thoughtful host.
We stayed in one of the Mongolian Gers. It had a nice deck. With a canopy, and a gas grill which we used quite a bit. The Ger is a work of art. We slept on the sofa bed and it was really comfortable with the topper on. It’s nicely furnished and outfitted. The property is an ideal setting right on the lake. David, the owner, has put a lot of thought into how everything is set up. He hasn’t cut any corners. There’s even a variety of paddle boards and other watercraft available at the shore. He’s sincerely wanting to share his paradise with others, and make sure they want for nothing while there.
