Welcome to Sunset Bay Meadows! We have several tent/RV sites, a yurt, and one group camping site. Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. The Skoolie is our latest addition. It is near and dear to my heart because me and my husband lived in one 20 years ago in the Last Chance Community in Santa Cruz County. Our names are David and Nicole, this is a bit of our story. We were going through all that stuff and conversations that you do, when you know your spirit needs a big shift. It took two years and we narrowed it down to two choices both included letting go of "things" and the life we both thought we were working towards. In July of 2017 we closed escrow on our second choice, we purchased a neglected 1949 roadside motel and RV park in Bandon, OR. We haven't looked back and each day we pour our hearts out to revive the property. Some days you notice what still needs to be done there are many plans to make our vision whole, but most times you just notice the little things and it feels comfortable and welcoming. I had an amazing stay at this cozy yurt near Coos Bay, Oregon. The property itself is stunning—set on a vast stretch of woodland that is even part of a golf course, it felt like a peaceful retreat tucked away in nature. The yurt was warm, inviting, and the skylight made it extra special. Hearing the nearby stream in the evening and waking up to soft natural light were some of my favorite things about the yurt stay. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, even taking the time to show me where to find edible mushrooms on the property. It’s clear they genuinely enjoy sharing their land and encouraging guests to explore and connect with the outdoors. The sauna and outdoor-style shower added to the rustic, nature-inspired experience—simple, refreshing, and perfectly in tune with the setting. Overall, this stay was peaceful, unique, and full of thoughtful touches. As a solo female I felt incredibly safe and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, nature-focused getaway. 🌿

The Cloud on Seven was the perfect way to kick off our Oregon adventure! It was such a welcoming spot and a wonderful escape from the city. The views were breathtaking, and meeting the owners made the experience even more special—they’ve truly created a little slice of heaven here. The hospitality was impeccable, and every detail showed the care and hard work they’ve put into this place. The outdoor shower was absolutely amazing, and I can’t recommend this stay highly enough to anyone traveling through the area!

Can I just say wow! Dew Valley Ranch is one of the best glamping experiences I've ever had. The yurt, the bed and heating blanket. Shower towels, hot tub towels, and a thing to warm water, a fire pit and a super cutely decorated out door seating and eating area. We had a shower at our site with its own water heater, and a private bathroom. We had access to a hot tub, a sauna, and so many hikes. They have super cute goats, chickens, and a horse on the property that love people. I would highly recommend this ranch. And can't wait to stay again!!

We had a great stay in the Space tent! We were welcomed in person and given a lil tour around which was awesome (there is even an aerial silks area!!). The tent had a heater and electricity for charging our phones, and we also had access to a shared refrigerator and an outdoor shower which was amazing in the evening. The only thing is the bed wasn’t very comfortable for me - still would definitely recommend this place though, our hosts were lovely 🥰

This was a gorgeous property with neatly manicured sites that were spread out nicely. Our family absolutely loved the setting in the middle of this forest! Not only was the site great but it was less than a 5-minute drive to Sunset Beach. We had the yurt site so with an older sister and a disabled nephew it was the only way to get us all camping and they loved the yurt which was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this site.

This Hipcamp exceeded our expectations. Super cute and magical. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub, plus the outdoor showers were nice and warm. The Hobbit House really felt straight out of the shire, and the lights at night made it super cozy. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought into the place as well as its amenities. 10/10 would stay again

What an incredible spot, do yourself a favor and check out the hobbit house with its delightful skylight to stargaze or wake up to the trees surrounding you! Wasn’t expecting own bathroom or for it to be so secluded. Lovely breakfast as well.

Quiet and lovely groomed area outside of the golf course. Trees all around, but no private sites. Lotsa space in between though. In order to take in the area, swim, paddle, hike- we would for sure stay there again. Will bring the camper next time. Yurt is ok if really needed, but not very clean if that bothers you ie- smelly and lotsa dog hair. Bed was not comfortable, in our opinion. Bring potable water unless you want to drink from a hose at a house. There are a few porto toilets in one of the campsites and an outdoor shower with hot water which was nice, though exposed and right next to the house, so if you are bashful- you'll need to get over it.

The campsites and yurt are in a beautiful open valley after a fairly long drive in. I found the yurt just right - very comfortable bed, and surround lights that gave it a cozy feeling. There’s plenty of space to spread out. The state parks in the area were absolutely stunning as well.
