Rustic tent and hammock camping on 20 private forested acres, just half a mile from the Pacific Ocean. It’s peaceful, wild, and surprisingly close to Yachats. You’ll fall asleep to ocean waves, not generators. This isn’t a tourist campground. It’s our home. We’re opening a few of our favorite spots to people who appreciate quiet, nature, and thoughtful presence. Our campsites were built for our family, not mass use. If you like forest stillness and a touch of wildness, you’ll probably love it here. If you’re looking for drive-in glamping with full facilities, this probably isn’t your spot. What to expect: • Walk-in campsites (5 minutes or less from parking) • No RVs, trailers, or car camping • No water, power, or trash service: pack everything out • Shared outhouse: use for bodily waste only! • Optional outdoor shower ($10/person) by request. It's attached to our home and rustic (some love it, others skip it - or wish they’d brought a bathing suit.) • Guided check-in required between 4–7 PM. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, including a short stretch along Highway 101. It’s walkable but may feel exposed to some. Yachats, the 804 Trail, and Cape Perpetua are all nearby. This land once held a WWI-era spruce logging camp. We’ve lived here since 2013, slowly transforming bramble into trails, gardens, and space to grow. Our son is a cancer survivor, and our connection to this land runs deep. We’re not a commercial farm - we’re a family practicing stewardship, slow living, and welcoming guests who do the same. We love hosting quiet campers, nature lovers, foragers, backwoods hikers, and families who understand personal space and come prepared. If that’s you, you’ll feel right at home.

Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.

This was a great place to stay while in the area for some wine tasting. Property was as described with a nicely mowed area for the car and camper. We had a wonderful quiet evening seeing a rainbow over the fields and peaceful morning sipping on coffee while watching the sun rise above the fog. We were even able to grab a couple apples from their trees (with permission) that we cooked up with our pancake breakfast!

We had a blast at Joel’s place with our kids and dog. It was relaxing being right on the water. We had some fun nearby outings including milkshakes at Alf’s, the Mason-Rivera sculpture garden, and Evergreen Wings and Waves water park. On site we enjoyed kayaking, exploring the cemetery, watching the beavers and turtle, and of course s’mores! Joel was a very gracious and generous host.

We were camped in the middle of the vineyard which was breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. It was just a short walk through the vineyard to go to the tasting room. The owners and their family were all very gracious and quite friendly and inviting. The staff was very friendly and informative about the wine and the production of the wine! We would definitely come back to Zenith Vineyards especially during the harvest season!

Fantastic pond side site in view of wildlife. Lots of space to set up on level ground. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds, beavers and otters. My husband caught several fish! Walks in the cemetery were very peaceful. Joel was pleasant and truly wanted to make our stay perfect- and it was! We definitely plan on returning.

We had a nice large campground to enjoy for the weekend, there are lots of yummy huckleberries to enjoy and there are many forest critters; small bunnies, chipmunks, raccoons, birds. It is a wonderful place for a retreat. My husband and two small children found it very quiet and the campground was very well kept, and the outhouse was very close.

Hello fellow campers! If you are looking for a beach town getaway this is your spot. This location is very close to other major Oregon beaches along with a scenic drive through the coast. The sites were all very lovely but the host were very accommodating, and helpful. This location is saved in my memory as it healed my heart hearing waves crash and rain drops through out the night. Thank you again for your hospitality and sharing your safe place.

Beautiful, peaceful forest to sleep in. The ground is soft and the fire rings excellent. There are no picnic tables or water access so be prepared to pack light or make a few trips from where the cars are able to park. Our group loved how secluded and remote it felt when really it was only about a 5 minute walk to our cars.
