Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat is located in a picturesque, healthy forest outside Cottage Grove, Oregon. We offer two tent sites, a 20' yurt, and an intimate bedroom bungalow, available year-round for Hipcamp guests.
Our mountain property sits at the end of a private residential road, close to I-5 and downtown Cottage Grove. Alongside the hosts’ house, there are a few other residents on the property. The area is rich with recreation opportunities, including biking, hiking, canoeing, boating, mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting and fishing, gold panning, rockhounding, and wildlife viewing.
Eugene and the University of Oregon campus (including Hayward Field) are just 30 minutes away. It’s about an hour to the Oregon Coast, 15 minutes to Cottage Grove Lake, and 30 minutes to Dorena Reservoir. Umpqua National Forest is also nearby, with stunning waterfalls such as Spirit, Moon, and Pinard Falls only 45 minutes to an hour away.
The Cottage Grove area is known for its covered bridges, mining history, and the scenic Row River Trail bike path. Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings.
We are cannabis-friendly and ask that guests use responsibly.
Well-behaved, friendly pets are welcome, but they must be attended at all times, as our neighbors keep goats and chickens. Three pets also live on the property: two dogs (Choco and Nola) and one cat (Cosmo).

Such a thoughtfully designed tiny home! We had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. The farm fresh eggs were SO delicious! We saw a deer roam right by the window in the morning; what a treat. Would definitely recommend staying here when around the Eugene area!

Steep ladder to loft sleeping. Not for the older “up at night” folks. Downstairs sleeping OK for short adult or kid(s). Fantastic romantic getaway for young adventurers!
A few blankets are available but recommend bringing your own sleeping bag and pillows!!!!

What a sweet spot! Small and everything we needed. A little kitchen with a fridge and stove with a cute little breakfast nook. Utensils and cookware was there to use and even a ziplock bag for left overs. 🤍
The composting outhouse was clean and didn’t smell, we’ve been in a lot! The outdoor shower was hot, but the day was a bit brisk so we didn’t linger:)

Amazing oasis up in the hills of Eugene. The tiny home had everything you would need and it was so well thought out. The home is private but the hosts are very responsive.
We planned a last minute one night trip to Eugene and stumbled upon this spot. Wish we could have stayed longer. We loved it and so did our dog. Can’t wait to return and recommend the house to our friends.

This was a beautiful piece of property. The tiny house was very nice and the hosts thought about almost everything. We enjoyed a nice fire in the fire pit. Cooked steaks on the BBQ and sat back and relaxed watching Netflix. The best part was that there wasn't another person to be seen. The sounds of the forest were amazing. The composting toilet was a new one for me, but it was comfortable and handled the job. Very Impressed with our stay. Amazing people and a lovely little tiny house.
