Feel free to stop by the studio and say hello, our home is on the same 58-acre property. Although you cannot see our home from the Art Lodge or Tiny Bungalows, we're often nearby for assistance.

Dogwood Cabin is an off grid experience. Think glamping. It is set on 25 acres in the rolling hills of Morgan County in southeast OH, close to the village of Chesterhill. Hidden in the woods, back a gravel driveway. No electricity, no running water, no central heat, no WiFi, no cell service. Truly getting out into nature without distractions.
Hang your hammock between trees. Build a fire to grill your meals. Relax on the porch swing or by the fire. Hike the property, play in the creek.
Dogwood Cabin has a small kitchenette. There is a propane camping stove and some pots, pans, coffee maker, and dishes. We have a grill to place over the fire pit.
There are 4 mattresses in the loft. No linens. Bring sleeping bags, etc.
No running water. Bring water in jugs for drinking, cleaning up and dousing the fire.
Buddy propane heater to take off the chill inside, but not make it cozy.
Bring a flashlight or lantern. We have several battery lanterns. On low, the lights should work for 6-8 hours. On high, much less.
An outhouse (think wooden porta potty) is not far from the cabin.
No cell service or internet. Chesterhill is about 2 miles and has service in numerous places on Main St. We have gone up the hill at the church in Todds - right on Goshen Run, left on St Rt 377, about 2 miles.
Firewood is not provided. You can bring your own or scrounge the woods for dead branches and twigs. Please douse the fire before leaving. Rake leaves away from the fire pit. Dry materials could easily start a forest fire.
8 plastic deck chairs are stacked on the porch. Please put them back and secure the cover before you leave.
We encourage you to get groceries on your way to the cabin, since it is 30 minutes to a decent grocery store. Chesterhill has Ron's Convenience and Restaurant where you can buy subs, pizza, burgers, fries, and groceries. Triple Nickel Diner in Chesterhill is another neat place to eat.
No motorcycles on the driveway.
You may enjoy hiking the 25 acres on the property. Nature is awesome, but check yourselves and your pet for ticks.

The small cabin made it very enjoyable. The 2 of us along with a dog managed well. The AC worked well, the Keurig and Microwave we didn't use. We had planned on cooking over the firepit though by the time the day was done we were too exhausted to start the fire and let the dog run in the soaked muddy ground from all the rain over the past 2 weeks. The self-checkin made it easy along with the colored map to find the cabin. The solar shower I didn't get a chance to use. Only once did I hear the neighbors and that was when I let the dog out late at night. To avoid the rain, the small cabin made it worth it.

I stayed at Little Fern cabin. It was my first time at Fruitdale Farm and I definitely plan on coming back. I had the entire place to myself since it was a rainy week, but I could imagine it with other campers there and I think it would still be a very peaceful place. This farm, and specifically the Little Fern cabin, was just exactly what I was looking for: a place where I could get some much-needed alone time, adequate shelter from the elements but still be mainly outdoors, and enough comfort so that I wasn't spending too much time doing all the work required when you're actually camping. LOVED the gazebo kitchen. Loved how organized and clear everything was. Loved how comfortable it was. Loved the fact that there were trails on the farm for an easy after-dinner walk, that there was a pond I could actually swim in, that there was fresh fennel growing with the herbs outside the kitchen, that there were various places at my site to sit and relax, and that the Arc of Appalachia land plus the Serpent Mound were so close by. Loved the drive in. On my first cool rainy night, I really enjoyed the sauna :) I just loved this place. Also, the salsa was delicious and I was excited to get introduced to fermented garlic honey too. Thanks so much and see you next time!

Weekend Trip to EJT Retreat
This was our second time staying at this little piece of Heaven. So peaceful and quiet - and fun! We loved floating in the little pond and listening to the nature sounds (because that is all you could hear up there) The little cabin had everything we needed and everything was very clean. We will definitely be back.

This is such a fun getaway, especially with kids. My kids really enjoyed the pond and hot tub. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a short stay and the attention to detail really showed. I would 100% recommend. 😊

Weekend Trip to Pop's Place Camping
The Bear Cabin was superb. Very comfortable, they had already set the AC before we got there. They had firewood available, if we wanted it.
This is our second time here and the owners are amazingly friendly and helpful.

Weekend Trip to Woody Acres
We had an amazing stay at Woody Acres. We stayed in the Hickory Hut while our friends stayed in the Peppermint Patty Wagon, and both accommodations were thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. From comfortable bedding and extra linens to cooking supplies, serving ware, and other little incidentals, it was clear the hosts put a lot of care into anticipating guests' needs.
The property is absolutely beautiful and truly feels like an immersive nature retreat. The nature-inspired décor is intentionally curated, with so many personal touches that make each space feel warm and unique. We also appreciated that Woody Acres is dog-friendly, making it easy to bring our pups along for the adventure.
Kate and Austin were wonderful hosts—kind, communicative, and available whenever we needed them while still giving guests plenty of privacy. One of the highlights of our trip was joining them for a plant identification walk. It was incredibly informative, engaging, and gave us an even greater appreciation for the property and the surrounding landscape.
The mowed walking trails throughout the property were perfect for exploring, and the beautifully landscaped sites offer plenty of privacy between campers. The outdoor composting toilet and shower were both very clean and only a short walk from our hut.
We also loved how close Woody Acres is to the Hocking Hills attractions, making it easy to enjoy the area's hiking options.

4 nights at Birdhouse Farm Camp And Cabin
My wife and I returned from July 22–26, 2026, and once again had an absolutely wonderful experience. The pond-side A-frame cabin and surrounding campsite are truly special. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature. The cabin offers the perfect balance of comfortable camping and an authentic outdoor experience, especially with the screened opening that lets you enjoy the fresh air and nighttime sounds without dealing with the bugs.
Jenny and Logan are exceptional hosts. They are friendly, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely want their guests to have a great stay. Their hospitality is one of the biggest reasons this place stands out. They are always available when needed and make you feel completely welcome from the moment you arrive.
The entire site is clean, organized, and thoughtfully arranged. It is obvious how much work and care they have put into the cabin, campsite, farm, and surrounding land. This is the kind of place where you can truly slow down, unwind, and enjoy time together.
We loved our stay and will absolutely return again. Jenny and Logan, you continue to impress us—y’all rock! We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable camping getaway.

2 nights at Woody Acres
Awesome hipcamp! Location was super easy to find— maps took us right to the well-marked campsites. The Hickory Hut was adorable and well stocked with camping essentials should anyone forget to bring along matches, bug spray, etc. The outdoor shower and toilet were both clean and functional, and both were only a very short walk from the cabin. AC works well, and even on a toasty night the cabin stayed nice and cool in the evening. Thank you Kate and Austin (and Rubeus!) for a great stay!

6 nights at EJT Retreat
We loved staying at Esther's place! It's just as advertised, if not even more charming. We were there during the hottest week of the year so far (temps near triple digits), and the A/C & fans kept up well. The furnishings were comfortable and along with the items we brought from home, made for a cozy stay. Thank you!!

3 nights at Hocking Hills Family Fun Center
Pay attention to the pictures. The cabin itself is as follows: 1 bunkbed with a queen/full size bottom bunk bed. And an additional bed. 3 total. A microwave, mini fridge like in a dorm room and a small window unit air conditioner. The bathroom/showers are about 100 yards away depending on what cabin you stay in. It is very peaceful. The air conditioner does cool the cabin sufficiently. Picnic table. Fire pot. There is electricity. You Can plug in other things easily. No TV but honestly we didnt even care. So much to do on the campground itself. They have putt putt. A monstrous inflatable water park for the kids. Showing movies at night. Very nice. Very clean. Very good experience and I am usually too bougie to be honest.
