Croaky Oak Clearing of Good Knights Reserve is located in Ohio and a 25-30 minute drive to Dublin. You'll have nothing but peace and privacy on the back 15 acres of the property. A 1/2 mile drivable path will take you to the one site offered. Here you can pitch your tent, build a campfire, catch and release a few fish from the pond, or choose to sit on the floating dock with your feet in the water. There are also a few short trails to meander through. We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). We believe in going outside to play, growing & eating fresh food, strengthening family bonds and promoting the awareness of our natural resources. Next door to this property is a BP Station and Carryout. The Loves Truckstop has a Wendys, Subway, and dog park. Sheets also has a food court. All within walking distance. Great location as Columbus is 30 min to the east, Dayton is 25 min to the west. 13 min to I 675 and 20 min to Interstate 75 N/S. I 71 N/S Columbus is 35 min away in downtown Columbus... NOTE: Little over a quarter of a mile off of Interstate 70, and on a State Route, If looking for absolute silence and desolation, this is not for you. Back off of the road but all the sounds carry.....

We bought this 125+ year old farm in 2010 with the hope of bringing it back to life. Overgrown and neglected, we have worked hard to make it a nice place for hiking, kayaking, fishing or any number of other activities. Peaceful and remote, the property has a beautiful brook that leads you to the South branch of the Portage river. Deer, turkey, geese, herons, mink and fox are just a few of our natural animal friends. Rusty the steer and his pony friends Lexi and Little Bits can be visited while they graze in the pasture. There are chickens and Brindle the barn kitty. We have the perfect place for dogs as well. We have four dogs that get along great with others and our fenced pond keeps them safe. Originally, we had booked the Boondocking, but switched to the last minute because of the warm weather conditions. We ended up in the full hook up. Facilities were amazing, but the campsites were very close to one another, and there was very little privacy. I think the Boondocking would’ve been amazing if the weather had been cooler and we could’ve just operated off of our generator. Everybody was friendly and it was a quiet, family oriented campground.

I was greeted by the host on arrival, very friendly and helpful; she even delivered firewood to my site. The property is all grass, including the RV pads, very nice compared to dirt pads. No real hiking trails, but a great little maze for the kids. An old picnic table, firepit are on the pad and nearby is a porta pottie. A nice peaceful place for a weekend, there were about 6 other campers at the property when I was there. The host was a delight... .

They kept me updated on weather conditions during my long drive, which I really appreciated. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly and given options for parking my setup. Before I even settled in, the host invited me in for a hot cup of tea and genuine conversation - such a thoughtful touch after hours on the road. This is a very quiet and peaceful property off the beaten path but not too far off. Many sites that can be next to each other and others having more privacy. Sites in the wide open or inside a cove of trees. Nice walking trails through the high wild grasses with lots of pollinators flitting about. Primitive camping so mostly tents, but also smaller travel trailers or motorhomes can fit right in. We spent the Labor Day weekend here and it was awesome. Fires in the evening and star gazing in the clear night sky. Sitting in the morning sun after breakfast in the light breeze. So peaceful. Christy met us as we arrived and she walked us about the property leaving it to us on what site we wanted. I really liked that the sites directly behind the barn were separated by a line of wild grasses. Nothing to stop one from walking through the grasses to the next site, but a very creative touch.

Christy has made her land very pretty with lots of flowers and plantings. Even lilies in the pond. She was warm and welcoming and offered help if I needed it. I would stay there again. sites are flat and grassy. It was totally quiet! Great nights sleep, I was also the only one there.
