Poplar Place is a charming camping spot that has left visitors feeling warmly welcomed by the friendly hosts, Patty and Wade. The property, featuring a pond, waterfall, and pavilion, offers plenty of activities like fishing and kayaking, making it perfect for families. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, including a notably spotless port-a-potty, and have highlighted the peaceful and well-maintained environment. While the faint sound of the highway is a minor downside, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently mentioning the friendly dogs and thoughtful amenities.
We loved setting up the camper at this spot. The pavilion, waterfall, pond and campfire ring made for an excellent stay. The hosts were a huge helping backing into the site and the friendly dogs made us feel very welcome. Thanks for sharing your beautiful land with us.
We did my son's first time tent camping so we wanted to have an easy time. Patty made everything perfect, our spot even had an outlet close so we could blow up our air mattress
We caught some nice bluegill off the dock and the dogs were a huge hit, very friendly visitors. There we're picnic tables and fire pits which made our meals fun. Facilities were clean, lots were taken care of, and good spring water.
Thanks guys
Place was great and the people were awesome! We had a Class B, and two tents and there was plenty of room all over to camp. Mohican Fire Tower is close by as well as Hemlock Falls. Lots of hiking and fishing if you are into that sort of thing. Loved it!
My family and I booked this spot for one night passing through on our way to Colorado. It's a perfect little spot with a view of the pond, a nice little lighted pavilion, a pretty cool little waterfall and a little outdoor spring fed cold water sink. Patty has a couple super friendly pets that we enjoyed having visit with us. It was a nice little spot to make a quick stop for the night.
We stayed at Patty's place over the Labor Day weekend. We had the most relaxing time on the perfect spot. The place is beautiful decorated with the perfect touches scattered about from the flowers to the waterfall. Adorable little carefully placed items throughout from a painted rock in a pot to frogs/moss on the water shed. We enjoyed the large firepit while listening to the waterfall. The weather was a bit wet at times so we especially appreciated the pavilion. We were steps away from an exceptionally clean port- a-john and the well stocked pond. We were on the "Shady Gravel Pad" with electric and shade. The hosts were very friendly and kept in contact with us for anything we may need. We mostly enjoyed watching the Amish buggies pass by and visiting with Patty's dog when she visited. We give this gem a 10/10.
Perfect spot to relax. Private. Hosts are truly wonderful people. I love the cool tent spots on the hills, my rv spot, the waterfall, pond, and the covered pavilion with three picnic tables.
Hosts are exceptionally cool and helpful. The waterfall and covered 3 picnic table pavilion is a step above.
Don’t worry about the weather, they have you covered. With two tent sites and an rv site it would be great for groups or families.
I had water and electric for my rv and a nice portapotty.
I really enjoyed staying on Patty's land. Everything looked so nice from the water lilies to the waterfall fountain. They treated us like family and even gave us fresh vegi’s to munch on while we stayed YUM! Everything was above the top clean and well kept and we had a blast swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Id recommend this place to anyone and id give it over 5 stars if I could. Thank you both so much for the great camping experience!
Patty and her husband were wonderful. So friendly and willing to help out or meet any need they could. The shelter house was a big plus because we got rained on a few times. We arrived at night and in the rain, and they both put on rain gear and met us with friendly greetings and helped get our camper set in place. Would definitely stay again when in their area.
We loved camping here! The views were awesome and the hosts were incredibly nice. Loved all the nice touches around the site with flowers and decor. And the outdoor sink made cooking there much easier. Will camp here in the future!!
Great spot, amazing people that were so hospitableand nice. They had very friendly dogs roaming..fantastic pond with kayaks. Natural spring,. Great times
We Loved our trip to this Hipcamp! Such a beautiful spot with everything you need. We really enjoyed the fishing too, and managed to catch a few while we were there. Patty and her husband were fantastic hosts. Thanks again for such a great place to stay!
The property is beautiful, the dogs are friendly, and Patty was a very responsive and welcoming host! Only 15 minutes away from the mid-Ohio racetrack, it’s was super convenient for us when we came to see a race!
We stayed at the Shady Gravel Pad. The hosts helped guide us back the driveway when we arrived. We have a 26 foot travel trailer with slide outs, and I was a little nervous when I booked the site that we wouldn’t fit, but it worked out just fine. The property is beautiful, and the hosts were very kind and welcoming. We got to watch Patty feed the fish in the evening, and we enjoyed the sunrise while drinking coffee on the bench by the pond. The porta pot was the cleanest I’ve ever been in. The sound of the man made waterfall was very soothing. We were thankful for the peaceful setting after a long day of driving. We’ll definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.
Camping at "Poplar Place Seven Springs" was wonderful. It had everything we wanted for a family campout. We loved the pond for swimming and fishing; it had a sandy walk-in area perfect for kids and dogs. For meals, the shelter was an easy space for preparing food especially with the sink and delicious spring water. For tenting, they had a good mix of spots with shade and sun. We will definitely camp here again.
Patty was easy to communicate with before and during my stay. The property is welcoming with pond and woods to stretch your legs and wildlife viewing. I stayed during the second week in June and was thrilled to enjoy time in the hammock reading a book without the plague of mosquitoes I have at home. The portapotty really is as nice and clean as the other reviewers say. I’m looking forward to my next stay.
Patty was so nice and showed us around the land and let us use the two kayaks (along with life jackets for the kids). My kids had a blast playing in the pond area. Really great spot!
A beautiful and incredibly well equipped Hipcamp by gracious and helpful hosts. The water and electric hook ups were very easy to connect to. The porta potty seemed brand new and was exceptionally clean and comfortable to be in. The land was exceptionally well cared for and maintained. The man made waterfall was huge and so soothing to listen to. There were camp chairs, swinging bench and a hammock overlooking the pond with lily plants and flowers. They have one of the best fire pits we have ever used. These in addition to the covered and lit pavilion provided camping luxury. Things to note that may provide challenging to some is that the RV lot requires you to back down a narrow 100 foot gravel driveway. We arrived at dusk, but the hosts were exceptionally helpful in guiding us down to the campsite. The hosts have 2 friendly dogs who are off leash and will visit your site fairly often. The hosts live on the land and have lovingly created a soothing respite with everything you might need. Mohican and Malabar Farm are both less than 30 minutes away. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at tent site 2. It is a beautiful setting with the pond and shelter from the trees. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Toilets were extremely clean. We had a wonderful time.
We spent the weekend at Poplars Place 7 Springs and stayed at the gravel pad, we couldn’t have asked for a better place. The hosts were friendly and amazing, upon arrival there was fresh picked vegetables from their garden waiting for us and a very well kept clean site. The view was gorgeous and the man made waterfall right next to our site was a great touch. This is a great little private location that we will definitely be going back to. The hosts dogs were friendly and got along well with our dog.
The Shady Gravel Pad was everything we wanted and more.
Patty was extremely accommodating and the property was beautiful.
We enjoyed the shelter when the rain rolled through, the pond was perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding, and the noise from the waterfall was a perfect touch.
Having electric and water available made our quick weekend getaway a breeze.
Close to Malabar Farm and Mohican State Park if you want to enjoy a hike.
Patty and Wade were amazing hosts. We needed electricity to pump up our beds and for charging phones. They offered for us to switch sites or use of their generator. They offered anything we may have forgotten and delivered water to us so we didn’t have to walk with jugs. The location was beautiful and peaceful with 2 ponds, hammock and benches to sit and enjoy. We will definitely be booking again with them next time we are out that way!
