Lisa was great! Very kind, great communication, just all-around lovely person! Her place was sweet and welcoming - out in the country and away from the noise of the city, yet just a short drive to town, restaurants, stores, etc. She made wonderful breakfasts for us, as well as a special dessert for our anniversary - shaped in a heart! Fabulous space, reminds me of the home of a good friend. Lisa was a wonderful host, gorgeous property inside and out, and she made a wonderful breakfast as well. We are in the middle of a three day drive to our new home and this was a safe and comfortable place to rest for a night, late check in was no problem either.

Weekend Trip to Lazy Acres

Jeremy and Tonya have created a neat place to camp for one night or more. We had signed up for one campsite, but once we arrived, Jeremy helped us pick a site that was better for my car towing a little trailer. The place has a clean outhouse, fun signs around, and my friend Tulio and I were the first ones to try out his new portable shower which we much appreciated after a long day on the road. Jeremy, his brother and a daughter brought a picnic table closer to our site and he offered to set up a fire pit for us if we wanted one. We enjoyed picking some fresh mulberries from a tree right near our tent and gathered some fresh blackberries on a trail at the back end of the camp. In the morning, he brought me a cup of coffee so we sat and had a nice long chat comparing some diverse experiences in life and sharing ideas about ways to add some nice touches to his camp and improve attendance while maintaining its intimate feeling and character. He genuinely enjoys meeting people from other parts of the country and the world who respect the serene quality of his camp.

Lisa has created a wonderful, relaxed bed and breakfast experience. The little log cabin is picturesque with gorgeous big windows looking out onto the property. The bedroom was cozy, charming and clean. We had a lovely time socializing with Lisa and the other guest staying there, both of whom were dog lovers- fantastic for us, since our little dog was with us. Lisa also sells her handmade soaps (we bought five or six!) and beautiful artwork. Lisa was the perfect host and even made us a delicious homemade breakfast at 6:30am before we had a long drive ahead of us.

1 night at Sugar Maple Grove Campground

As advertised. We went directly to our campsite and setup. We were the only campers there AFAIK. Easy to find as it is listed on Google maps. Private and nice looking property. Great views of the night sky.

We had a great weekend camping with our dogs. We didn't get to explore much of the farm (one of our dogs is very reactive) but from what we did see it was beautiful! Very hot weekend but the shady site and creek kept us cool. We loved the seclusion and having the out house was a big bonus! We plan to come back in the fall for cooler temps and the fall foliage

This was one of our favorite camping experiences ever! This Hipcamp was a fantastic getaway! We loved the privacy, the relaxing river, and cleanliness of the site. Seeing a snake, herons, and frogs made it feel like a real nature escape. The owner's attention to removing invasive species and planting native plants really made a difference. They were also super attentive to our needs and even jumped our truck when the battery died. We can't wait to come back!

The campsite was everything we expected and more! The tree canopy over the camp site provided so much shade over the campsite that we were comfortable during 90* weather! Many activities provided! Would stay again.

The view is beautiful and really great places to eat within biking/walking distance. Especially recommend Pig Candy at the entry to Eldorado St. The site has a “cabin” with a working toilet but the shower has no hot water. Polly was accessible with any concerns and we absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was great! We were happy to have an RV as there was an intense thunderstorm the evening we arrived. After the storm passed we were enchanted by the abundance of fireflies! The location was so quiet and remote. Beautiful starry night skies! The campsite was so big and neat!

It was so easy to stay here! We camp in our pop-up camper with three kids. It was lovely to sit down at the distillery, play games, listen to music, and have drinks and a bite to eat. The campsite was simple (as described) and had a nice view. In the daytime we went into Cinci (the zoo, Washington Park) an easy half hour away.

This property was the original location of Todd’s Fork Bluegrass Festivals back in the 70’s and is directly on Todd’s Fork with 1/2 mile of River frontage. We reside within the Village of Morrow, walking distance to restaurants and stores. The little Miami Bike Trail is approximately 1/4 mile from our entrance. This property is tucked away and you wouldn’t even know you’re close to town once you’re on site. Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.

With one canoe livery within two miles of us (Little Miami Canoe), you can drop your canoe or kayak in upstream and make your campsite a pit stop before getting picked up downstream by their shuttles. You can also rent a tube from us and go up and down our property or hang out on your tube anchored by the beach. We can also shuttle you upstream on Saturdays and Sundays. You can hike on our property to get scenic views of the Little Miami River Valley or spend time exploring Halls Creek (just down the street), the Fort Ancient Mounds, and others. We know other special local spots we can let you in on, too. We are just a 1/2 mile from the Little Miami Bike Trail and close to Caesar's Creek, Cowan Lake, YMCA's Camp Kearn, and Camp Joy. Nice secluded campsites with lots of space and privacy. Fire wood available for $5 for a bundle or you can bring your own, also have excellent cell phone service unlike most state parks in the area. Picnic tables, fire pits and water available and also have a portable idc tote so we can fill your tank at any site. 30 amp and 20 amp outlets at rv sites 1, 2 and 3. Brookville Lake is about 5 minutes away. We have 25 acres with about 3 wooded acres with over 100 sugar maple trees and about 20 acres of flat grass fields plenty of room to hike, just keep in mind we have one horse that is fenced in so please close gates back when you open them. We mow trails for hiking feel free to explore, if you run into a cornfield it's not our property. Att has excellent service at 94mbps download and 11mbps upload, Verizon is good at 36mbps Download and 5mbps upload. We have an outhouse for tent campers And water is available by campsite 1 and we have portable idc tote with city water. We also have 3 indoor/outdoor cats, they like to visit the campground. Direction: Please use SR 44 to country road 450 and go north and take a right at 4 way stop on to Springersville Road and we are about a quarter mile down the road on the left. Down a private drive, tucked back in the woods, this A frame sits on 3 acres. In the warmer months, the home is far more secluded. In the winter months, neighbors homes are visible through the brush, but we just planted 28 7ft trees to help with this. The property features 2 acres of fenced in property, which is perfect for all size dogs. Hot tub and sauna on large wrap around deck, plus two propane heaters. Top floor features main king size bedroom with large deck. 2 couches and one giant bean bag chair, plus 2 TVs with PS5. 2 king size bedrooms on the main level. All 3 king bedrooms feature black out curtains. A queen "bedroom" in the downstairs next to the bar, pool table, and full gym. Aerial silks on top floor and main level. Two hammocks-- one by the grill and the other tucked in the woods. They are the wonderful cocoon type that you can easily fall asleep in. Beautiful trails weave through the fenced in property. Giant firepit area with plenty of space to pitch tents if some of the group would like to enjoy being outside. Bulb lights spaced around the property. Lots of wildlife that comes to visit, including multiple generations of deer who have been having and raising their young on our property for years. (There is NO hunting on our property) Property backs up to 50 acres of designated Green Space with a small creek that runs through it.

Pack your essentials and escape to the Little Miami River Valley's best kept secret. Our off-grid cabin and tent campsite is situated on 14 acres along the National and Scenic Little Miami River. The cabin is included in the site rental, offering the flexibility to bring your own mattress/bedding or have it provided as an add-on. Once here, you'll park near the farmhouse and take a 4 minute hike over the creek, through the meadow, and into the woods. *Driving to the site is an option if you have 4WD and the ground is not too wet. Exceptions for 2WD can be made if the weather forecast and ground conditions permit. As you approach the cabin and campsite, the trail opens up to an acre of green space shaded by large Sycamore, Walnut, and other native trees. Take a dip in the river, enjoy people watching as canoeist pass, or take part with a canoe or kayak rental from a nearby business (within 3 miles). The Little Miami Trail is also less than a mile down the road so bring your bike! The composting outhouse is serviced between each stay, meaning it's emptied, sanitized, and like new for each new guest. *Depending on your group size, the host may need to service/empty the outhouse once daily. There are two established campfire locations and a picnic table is provided. *This is a family residence. The hosts live onsite and although you will not see them from your site, you will likely hear kids/adults playing outside and possibly weekend tasks such as mowing/weed eating/etc. Other "noise pollution" may come from canoeists passing by or the gun/ATV riding club which is a 1/4 mile down the river. Ohio River experience

California, Ohio is a community on the Ohio River about a twenty minute drive upstream from Cincinnati. Actually the eastern-most neighborhood of Cincinnati, it has it's own small town or quaint village atmosphere. Safe, flat, scenic and walkable, California boasts several dining experiences, one a brewery, and quite a variety of recreational experiences. Riverbend, a music venue in season, is a mile away, possible walking distance, as is Belterra, a race track and casino. The bike trail is a few blocks away and connects to all the other area bike trails including the Loveland Bike Trail along the Wild and Scenic Little Miami River. A local nature preserve, California Woods, offers hiking and nature programs, and there is even the California Golf Course. If watching baseball leagues play games is your cup of tea, there is a large sports complex with ball fields in California. A town park with trees and large, grassy open spaces and small playground is a few blocks away. Bring your game of horse shoes, corn hole, a frisbee to throw, your skateboard, golf cart, or some bikes just to cruise around and take in the scenery. Nearby, and right the Wild and Scenic Little Miami River is Armleder Park, also with walking and biking trails which also connect to the 5 mile loop around Lunken Airport. I have two properties which offer two different kinds of camping, which I have itemized separately in the Hipcamp listings. RV Campers will park on the upper level at the Panama Street address , and have one set of amenities. It is a short walk lead down to the Ohio River where there is a small patio with table and chairs overlooking the river. Tent campers set up their tents right beside the river and have a different set of amenities, as itemized on this website. It's an unusual set up, as perhaps Hipcamper spots often are. It is interesting and relaxing to watch the barges and pleasure boats go by. On one hand I feel like I am in the middle of nowhere when I am on these (small, very not fancy) properties by the river. On the other, there are planes, trains, barges and pleasure boats, and motorcycles passing by at times. The River can be mesmerizing and serene, shimmering in the western sun, or busy with weekend pleasure boats and barge traffic. Take a walk around town, then sit by the river and watch the boats go by. Relax, set up your grill and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Ohio River. Perfect for river rats. Downtown Cincinnati is 15 or 20 minutes away with no traffic, and there are two or three ways to get there. There is a lot to do in Cincinnati. My place in California is just a few minutes from the I 275 exit.
