RV camping in North Dakota

·

From the vast prairies of the Great Plains to the rugged Badlands that border Montana, North Dakota has plenty of open roads to hit on your RV trip. Park your rig at a rustic campground amid the dramatic canyons of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, hike through the Badlands and camp by Lake Sakakawea at Lewis and Clark State Park, or enjoy seasonal camping with electric hookups at Little Missouri State Park. To the east, RV parks dot the shores of Devils Lake, where you can enjoy some of the state’s best fishing, as well as the lakeside Grahams Island State Park. Winter temperatures can drop below freezing throughout the state, but many RV campsites stay open through the snowy season, including Lake Metigoshe State Park, Turtle River State Park, and Fort Stevenson State Park, where you can make the most of the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails.

Beautiful wooded sites create a shaded and cozy camping experience! We are a brand new campground opening in the Summer of 2023, so more amenities will become available as the summer progresses. We are excited to announce we are starting to open our tent sites. These sites have electricity. Camper vans and truck-mounted campers can fit in some of these sites. Due to the wooded nature of the site, travel trailers over 35 feet long will have difficulty moving through the campground. I would be happy to chat if you have any questions about whether your unit will fit in the campground. Note: - The Mellow Moose Campground is currently under construction. Follow our progress on social media! - The Bison Plant Trail is a hiking and biking trail for the whole family! It is located nearby and popular all year long. Also, it's a great spot for birding! - Reservations are now being accepted. Mellow Moose Campground has 3 loops. Sites 1-19 are mostly back-in RV sites. Sites 20-39 are tent sites; while pick-up campers and sprinter vans are welcome, there are no pull-behind trailers allowed on these sites. Sites 41-48 are mostly pull-through RV sites.
