We enjoyed our stay but campers need to be aware that the site is in essentially a gravel parking lot. There is a grassy area between the rows which is nice. The sewer pipe in site 15 is too tall to hook up the hose for drainage. We pulled our camper to site 21 as we were leaving to drain our water tanks. All said, we would stay there again.

The spot was easy to get to with plenty of space and a great price with hookups. You do have to cross the highway to get to the bar and grill on the lake but it is close by. We enjoyed our one night here.

With 1,122 acres, Grahams Island State Park’s most notable feature is Devil’s Lake, the largest in North Dakota. It just so happens to have some of the best fishing in North Dakota year-round, and amenities like a boat ramp, bait shop, and camping opportunities have been built to take full advantage of it.

Although mixed grass prairie is the dominant natural vegetation of this region, the woodlands associated with Devils Lake make up a large portion of Grahams Island’s natural vegetation. It supports bur oak, northern hackberry, green ash, American elm, and boxelder. North Dakota's state flower, the prairie rose, blooms in abundance here.
