Two primitive sites are also available. All sites have access to potable water. Towering cottonwood trees surround the sites, which are located on a maintained lawn. Hipcampers are welcome to use the two kayaks on site, and the host is willing to assist with transportation of kayaks. We are located just 15 minutes from Bismarck, ND, and Costco, Walmart, restaurants and add’l shopping are just minutes away. In addition to kayaking, Hipcampers can enjoy scenic drives, hiking, road biking, access to sandbars, a huge open yard, fire pit, hundreds of cottonwood trees, and beautiful sunsets. There is a pool and hot tub onsite which is accessible for an additional fee. Great walleye fishing and bird watching are also available. This was a great spot to be at for our 2 week stay. Right off the highway and fairly close to town. Very clean and very friendly; they even had an open invitaion gathering at one of the sites to watch sports on the projector the first night we were there. Basically in a well kept open field with good hookups and lots of support if needed! They have a dumpster that gets trash pick-up every week so we had no space issues with garbage. And theres a small section of field for our dog to run! Traveling cross country means hitting a lot of empty areas, so we were so thankful to find this space at such an affordable cost.

We had a little issue with the last hip camp and when we contacted the lovely lady hosting this RV site, we asked kindly could we do rear camp tenting and they were very welcoming and let us book at last minute. It wasn’t crowded at all! Beautiful spot!

This space was great, though a little hard to find in the dark — glad I went by during the day. If I had known I would be out so late the night of my stay, I probably would’ve found a truck stop to sleep a few hours at instead. Because I caught a sunset and stargazing in the north unit and a sunrise in the south, I was only here for a few hours. I’m hoping I didn’t disturb anyone when I accidentally set my car alarm off in the wee hours. It was great to know I had a place to stay and, especially if you’re in an RV, this is a great spot.

Nice grass lots with full hook ups that were pretty level and very spacious. Gravel roads with easy in and out. Close easy access to I-94 but far enough away to be very peaceful. Extremely nice and accommodating host/manager. So much better than the dirt/dust bowl we were in at Medora. Onsite RV Tech which is a huge plus if you have a problem!

Directions were easy to follow. Jason was very friendly and greeted us. Spot was level, grassy and really easy to pull into. We had the entire area to ourselves as there was no one camping near us. View out our door was beautiful. Very pleased with the entire experience!
