Everything was perfect, Adil's setup included everything we needed and some things we wouldn't have thought of. We loved the area, and the kids had fun with the canoe. We'll be going back and would recommend this site to anyone.

Solo travelers, families, and romantic getaway travelers: This is a very private and safe place to camp! Because we only have 1 site, you will be alone in the space the entire time. My family lives on the premises so we are here in case of an emergency. My daughter and I own this 35 acre secluded piece of heaven just minutes from Winston-Salem, Hanging Rock State Park, and other attractions. We are pet friendly (if your pet does not play well with our dogs or horses, please leave them on a leash or at home). Our Shire horses are endangered and very BIG! There is a 2-car limit parking at the sites, and four wheel drive absolute MUST when wet or rain expected! There is also availability to camp on total of 58 acres owned by Carl’s Campsites. Select a field or hike-in site, with 2 field sites which have rock firepits. Bring your own camp toilet and water containers. Take trash with you. Potable water available across from A-Frame. Riverside Sites includes private structure with rustic toilet, an E-series seat, and a place to hang a shower bag. Water and soap for hand washing provided. Separate trashcan for toilet bags. No ATVs. LIMIT 2 TENTS AND TWO VEHICLES PER CAMPSITE. Campers expected to be environmentally respectful. Riverside sites have trash receptacles, Fire pit, hammock, and picnic table. Swimming, fishing, hiking of property permitted. Pilot Mountain State Park, Hanging Rock, and MANY wineries close by. Lots of hiking on property as well as State Parks close by. Hanging Rock is a great place to explore, with a lake and swimming for reasonable price and picnic areas in the park. We are also 20 minutes from Mt Airy, fictitious home of Mayberry.

This property is 180 acres of woods and mountains with streams and ponds. Beautiful settings. If you like hiking in the mountains this will definitely hit the spot. YO can fish in the ponds it has blue gills and catfish. I also added grass carp there as part of weed management. This used to be an abandoned farm which I want to bring back to life. The site offers three luxury large Safari Style Tents and 4 Pioneer wagons. All tents are far away from each other to provide privacy and freedom of going Wild (still remaining civilized in your manners and careful attitude to Nature around you). Tent 1 is in the Forrest itself and it is pretty cook and serene. Tent 2 is on the top of a rocky hill overlooking the forest. Tent 3 is the most remote and closest to the ponds. It has most of the open space around it, and can be a great place for parties. We are working on making the sites and the area more comfortable, but I do not want to make it a manicured park. I want it to remain wild and still offer comfortable stay. The farm is work in progress. Eventually it will be an Ostrich farm. and have other animals too. The closest town - Lenoir is about 12 miles away . Closest Grocery store (Dollar General) - about 3 miles away. Closest Gas station - 2 miles away. Professional Tennis court, Basketball court and large kids playground are in a public park within - 5 minute drive. Lenoir has restaurants, shopping, etc. Hickory is a larger town about 25 minutes drive. Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with marina where you can rent a boat and it also offers a good game fishing. Nice swimming beach access on Lake Hickory 13 miles ( 20 Minutes) from here: Lake Hickory Wittenburg access area (Wittenburg Access Area, 175 Wildlife Access Rd, Hickory, NC 28601) Asheville is 1:25 hrs to the West, Charlotte is 1:25 hr to the East. There are couple of Ski resorts 45 minutes to an hr away.

This property is located on the border of VA and NC, 6 miles from Kibler Valley on the Dan River with recreational releases for Class 2 white water kayaking in the summer. We are close to Class 1 kayak and canoe river runs as well in Danbury NC along with hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains, Hanging Rock State Park and Pilot Mountain State Park. We are close to the legendary Mayberry NC , also known as Mt Airy NC and many wineries and breweries in NC and VA. We will send an email with general information and links after you book. For now we are only taking one booking at a time so you can choose your spot and have the whole place to yourself and your group up to 12 adults. There are multiple tent sites as well as room for one or 2 small campers. You can set up your tent under the pavilion or on the band pavilion or string hammocks under the pavilion or from the trees. Well behaved dogs welcome, NO GUNS, NO FIREWORKS.

There are 2 ponds on the property available for fishing and paddling. Given the area the farm covers campers will have peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. For NASCAR fans, the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway is within walking distance. If you can't occupy your time here we're within 10 minutes of many local attractions. Wilkes also hosts festivals like; MerleFest, Apple Festival, and Peach Festival. This area is home to many Peach and Apple Orchards one personal favorite is Tevepaugh Orchards. And if the local attractions don't suffice the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone and Blowing Rock are all within an hour.

Take nature hikes and view local wildlife and vegetation, Enjoy riding your horses, bikes, golf cart, and ATV's in designated areas, as not to scare guests with horses. Riding ATV's or carts after dusk should be quiet and courteous to others. Blue Ridge Parkway and other state park facilities nearby. There is a cafe, a gas station, and a Dollar General within 5 miles of the site. Pets are welcome as long as they don't distress other guests. We asked that everything you bring onto the property be removed when you leave, including all trash and debris. We ask that you be respectful to other guests, wildlife, and vegetation in the area. The site once operated an Apple brandy distillery, a working farm, and has been in the same family for several generations.
