The campsites were absolutely wonderful, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. I truly enjoyed the tranquility they provided, making my stay incredibly relaxing. I will definitely be booking again for another escape.

We loved camping at Lake Lookout Campground. The owners were very nice and it was a quiet retreat for the weekend. We set up tubes and were able to fish right next to our campsite!

Being on the water is excellent. Understood that they are still cleaning up from the flood last year, missing a door on the women's stall would have been tough if it was busier. Definitely will stay there again.

Beautiful spot. Responsive host. Bathroom has Hot Showers, But the room not heated. The Lake is beautiful here despite the recent hurricane. Sites are large. Over all I had a great experience at this camp spot.

Lake LookOut was a beautiful quiet place for the week I was there. The sites are good size and easy to get to. Bathroom & Hot showers are clean and well kept. Hosts were very helpful and easy to reach. I would stay here again.

This was the perfect location right on the river for us the drag the kayaks right in. 5 minutes down the street there were some beautiful hiking trails.

This place was absolutely amazing. It is a hidden treasure not only. Do you have electricity at your tent site there’s also a full bathhouse. You are right on the lake already booked my site for a return visit.

Came to this cabin for an unplug sesh with our 13-year-old. The location is gorgeous right on the lake, the cabin was clean and well-stocked, and the hosts were super helpful. This was exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to come back.

This was a great place to stay. We had easy access for our kayaks. The property was well maintained. The owners were very helpful in giving us information about the local area.

We only camped for one night (due to A/C issues with our RV) but we enjoyed our short stay. Hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Note: Dogs must be on leash due to proximity to other campers and tree coverage is limited, so bring your own shade and plenty of sunscreen.

We loved camping at Lake Lookout Campground. We have two dogs and it was super dog friendly. Beautiful location on the water. Great proximity to the Emerald Hollow Mine, which was why we chose this location. Next time I'll definitely bring my kayak.

We will absolutely be back to this little hidden gem. It was perfect in every way. Plenty of fun things to do with family and our fur babies. Owner was amazing!

Stayed at site 8, it was perfect! We had plenty of room and a nice view of the river. Close to bathrooms which was a huge plus with a toddler. Love the family-owned vibe, everyone was so nice and helpful. Ice machine and fire wood was a plus! Definitely recommend and plan to come back.

Site 8 Waterfront RV/ Large tent
Rebecca was an all-star host from start to finish assisting me with this large group. It was seamless and very accommodating. She is a great communicator, attentive and responsive. Instructions were very clear and she was always a fingertip away if there was a need. Rebecca was assuring with answering questions and understanding. We had a group of campers with mixed experience. A few first-time tenters, a few car tenters, seasoned tenters and an RV. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed campsite #8, as it suited us perfectly. There was plenty of space for the dogs to frolic, children to play, and adults cooking and chatting away. There was a variety of things to do: sitting by the lake enjoying the scenery, others fished, and some took a dip in the water while others enjoyed watching or snoozing under the lake's breeze. The campfires were great both in the morning and in the evening. We never left the site. Unfortunately, it rained for a good portion of our stay, nevertheless, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. All were so impressed with the variety of amenities all in one spot. Lake Lookout is definitely a repeat destination for this group. We are looking forward to rebooking this beautiful property to enjoy how wonderful the stars will be like on our next visit! - Many thanks, Rebecca, for an outstanding experience!

Awesome place! Can’t wait to come back. Host stopped by and said hello. Trash was picked up often and the bathroom was good, water pressure was good in the shower. Lovely place, peaceful by the river. River had a good shallow section for my toddler and it obviously got deeper as you go in but felt safe with supervision.

Views of the river beautiful, bathroom was clean. Camping spots are huge! Enough room for everyone to spread out. Already planning our return!

Beautiful lake and that is what we went for (to wake up on the water, kayak and fish-ideal for all three!!) Unfortunately we were up to 2:30 am by the tent mates next door (playing music and talking loudly) and while this is no fault of the owners, it would be nice for a quiet curfew to be enforced. The night before there was also music playing but definitely stopped before 12 am

We loved our stay! Our two boys (8 and 10) couldn’t get enough of the rope swing over the river and the volleyball court. We were lucky to have the entire tent side to ourselves. The restrooms were clean and so convenient, literal steps away. The river scene was so relaxing!

I camped here with my family (some of which were first time campers) and we all loved it! Tent site #2 sits right by the lake which made for a great view! I loved being able to split wood for my hot tent from the available downed trees. We rented kayaks and went out on the lake. Rebecca was responsive to all questions. We had the tent site area to ourselves which provided great privacy. It would be interesting to see the spacing when all the tent sites are occupied, but it was great!

The location next to the water was perfect for the kids that just wanted to fish! (He caught a four pound catfish the first night.) Rebecca was generous with the space - there was an empty spot next to us and let us spread out. It was nice to have access to kayak rentals as well. Quiet and peaceful.
