Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

We cannot believe our incredible good luck to have found this place. Christine and Ken cover everything - with so many thoughtful touches in every area to make our stay over the top. There is ample space for multiple tents with flat sandy/dirt as the base and boat-ramp access to the river. The large open kitchen area is beautiful and would hold many if it were raining. Our group was there for an annual get-together, and we’ve decided not to explore other locations or venues, looking forward to returning.

We truly enjoyed out trip to Plumtree. It was our first visit, so we didn't know exactly what to expect. The owners and manager were extremely kind and helpful. Our campsite was clean and well kept. The bathhouse was well maintained and close by, which helped with the kids. We enjoyed trying a platform for the first time. Our tent was a little large, but it still fit and worked out well. Overall, Plumtree was a great experience!

What a great campground! We love the beauty and more remote location vs. other options. Great people Mike was super helpful and facilities particularly for tent campers! The amenities for us (when we visited) include on-site water for the camper so we don’t have to travel in with a full tank of water. Visitor’s should know the drive up and down to the site is on a fairly steep and narrow gravel rode. We didn’t have an issue with our 24’ travel trailer but depending on your rig and the season it may be more problematic. We’d definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Blue Bear Mountain’s campground is the place to stay when visiting Boone and Blowing Rock. This campground is maintained pristinely and the host is so helpful and friendly. RV sites have electricity, fire ring and picnic table. The campground has very clean showers and bathrooms. The sites are arranged with the tree line and feel very private.
