My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We absolutely love Rick and Helen and their beautiful property! We booked last minute because another site didn’t work out for us and we’re so glad we did! The site we stayed in was level and very spacious with plenty of room for our tow car. The water pressure was perfect and they had 50 amp power. There were lots of beautiful places to walk and explore with our two dogs and they have ducks in the pond. We saw geese and turtles as well. It’s quiet and peaceful in the evening. Rick and Helen were welcoming and wonderful hosts. The barn, covered bridge and beautiful pond set the scene for the perfect camping weekend. We will definitely be back!

The campsite was beautiful! Hundreds of tall pines throughout the campsite have provided campers with a wonderful cushion of pine needles underfoot. Meticulously clean and cared for sites. My family of seven spent two wonderful days at Double LLC Farm, and it was exactly the kind of weekend I hoped to give my kids. From the moment we arrived, they were completely in love with the animals , petting them, exploring the farm, and enjoying the freedom to run and play in a peaceful, safe space. Even the camper neighbors were friendly, which made the whole environment feel warm and welcoming.
What truly made this stay special were Lisa and her husband. They are some of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve met in North Carolina. Their hospitality, warmth, and professionalism made us feel like more than guests. People like them give you hope in humanity, and small businesses run with this much heart deserve all the support in the world.
My kids were sad when it was time to leave because they loved the animals, the quiet atmosphere, and especially the kindness of Lisa and her husband. The farm is peaceful, fun, and perfect for families who want to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with each other.

We needed a place to stop over night and Double L fit the bill. Lisa, the host, was very responsive, welcoming, and met us at the gate to guide us to our spot. Since we were there only one night, we didn't get a chance to check out the farm attractions. It felt safe and not crowded at all. All the hookups were in good condition and easily accessible. Our only issue (and this was really on us) is that the electric was 50 amp and we have 30 amp. A quick drive to Wally world for an adapter that I had been meaning to buy anyway solved that problem. Quick access to the interstate got us on our way quickly the next morning. We would stay again. Thanks for the southern hospitality, Lisa!

It’s in a wooded, secluded area. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Michael was very friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!!

Easy stopover spot a handful of miles off of I-95. Lisa and Brian were super easy to work with. Double L has good "sense of place" -- off the beaten path, wake up to a misty neadow full of grazing cows, sun streaming through a grove of southern pine-- a nice slice of southern NC. Chatted with Brian about the rest of the farm operations (goat's milk and butcher shop) but we did not have time to visit these onsite establishments during our short stay. Bath facilities were clean and conveniently located.
