For those not accustomed to mountain travel or new drivers please know that travel off NC 18 on the state road is a typical two lane paved mountain road with curves, some of which will require you to swing wide, a couple of areas of moderate incline but that does not exceed 8%, a short state maintained gapped section of gravel and an occasional low hanging branch. At the campsites there is a slight incline and some loose gravel. Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

Cabin Breazy: Situated at one of the highest points on the property, Cabin Breazy is our cozy, off-grid, dry A-frame cabin surrounded by mountain views. Farmhouse Holler: 2nd Campsite is located next to our old farmhouse on a lower section of the property. Its near the natural spring and is shaded. There are no convenient bathroom facilities at this location so it is recommended to bring your own. Reaching the porta-potty would require an extensive uphill hike or driving around to the other entrance. To reach this campsite, the driveway could be considered rough terrain so drive slowly. Lowered vehicles or those with little ground clearance are not recommended. Each campsite has a max occupancy of 2 people. If you need space for more campers, please reach out to us about how many are in your party. We can host groups with advanced notification. Overlanding vehicles are welcome. Attractions: If you are looking for birds-eye view of the area, visit the Mendota Fire Tower only 3.2 mile away. You can see it from the farm and see the farm from it. It's about a 15 minute hike from the road. You can choose the mildly challenging way up or take the old roadway for a smoother walk. Clinch River is only 20 minutes away. Cool off in the river or enjoy kayaking and tubing opportunities from Clinch River Adventures. Closest convenience store is about 15 minutes away. Closest Grocery store is about 20 minutes away. Views were awesome! Able to get up and down the drive fairly well despite the steepness in our 32ft travel trailer. Quiet little spot, would camp here again.

My site was very nice and plenty of space. Bathroom and shower was very clean. The view was fantastic while still being close to the highway. Within close enough distance to anything you want to do in and around Asheville.

The steep driveway wasn't that bad and led to camping sites that captured the heart of the North Carolina mountains. Great privacy and views and even some woodland creatures to remind you of the camping experience. Full hookups and access to a very, very clean bathhouse/laundry room. Awesome quick access to many attractions (I favor all the local hiking trails). Definitely on my list to visit again. Thankx!

Great spot easy to get to off the highway but quiet once you get there. Artsy outbuildings, goats, buffalo and peacocks on the property which was super cool. Beautiful views of the mountains and nice secluded spots to camp, flush toilets and running water just a little walk away. . A+, would visit again!!

This space has been so beautifully and thoughtfully designed and very well kept. The peace and tranquility of the area were wonderful, the views were spectacular. We camped with friends so it was a perfect set up. There are a myriad of trails to wonder through and several points of interest. We hope to go again next year! Thank you both for your hospitality!

This was by far the most peaceful camping trip I have experienced. Janet and her husband’s property is absolutely stunning. Truly a little piece of heaven. They have thought of absolutely everything. It was like camping in a state park with only two sites. Thank you Janet and Matthew for being such welcoming hosts!

The tent area was big enough for our 4 person tent, with room to spare.

Weekend Trip to New River Ridge

Our creekside site was private, beautiful & a perfect landing site. Close to sweet little towns and hiking in Grayson Highlands but remote enough to feel like we were lost in the mountains. Our hosts met our every need and were so friendly and welcoming. We even got a preview of the upcoming tiny home rentals on the ridge- can’t wait for these to be available. We will be back and highly recommend this location!

Weekend Trip to Redeemers Ridge Retreat

Absolutely beautiful rolling hills and long range mountain views. Sunrises and sunsets were picture perfect. The hosts were very nice and the site was well maintained. We enjoyed Grayson Highlands nearby and the morning walk around the property to the ruins and pine forest. What a gem close to downtown Sparta and other awesome attractions. Had a nice dinner after a long hike at Red Dog restaurant about 8 minutes away from camp site.

Loved the view of the mountains from the campsite. Super nice, as there are only 3 other spots and convient to have your sewer connection on site as well. Note to those with cars that have to be put in 4wd, put in 4wd before heading up the hill. The hardest part is in the beginning. Also, pull your rig all the way to the right after you get up the hill and then back into site.

Our third time here. What a special space yall have created. Our kids love the whimsical bamboo forest and the buffalo feeding ritual. Nice flat space with bathroom and fire ring set up.
