Camping by the creek was wonderful, and the deck was a lovely spot to read and listen to the birds. Truly peaceful. My dog loved the trails and splashing in the water! I'd love to come back and jump in the swimming hole on a hot day! Thank you Dianne 🩷

We had a great time although we picked a "weather challenged" weekend to visit. Diane kindly offered us the small cabin instead of the dome since it was roomier and there was a high possibility of severe thunderstorms overnight. The creek was absolutely beautiful and full of skipping stones. Their dog, Bug (I think that was his name) was sweet and welcoming! My daughter's and I look forward to coming back on a less rainy and warmer weekend to explore the creek a little better!

What an amazing site and hospitality at its finest! It was great to let the dogs swim in the river. It was a little too cold for me when I visited in February but I will definitely be back in the warmer months. I had a camper but had a tour of the camp and all the sites were very cute. A beautiful back road mountain drive to Boone with plenty of hiking and a mtn bike park in the area.

On the property you can walk through the woods, sit by the stream and listen to the water rushing downstream or trickling if we haven’t had rain. We accommodate one RV at a time and provide water and hookups in a circle drive through on private property. The owner's house and two outbuildings are on the property. A future cabin and pottery shop are in the works. If you like the privacy and quiet away from other camper then you will enjoy your stay with us. Pets are welcome! WI-FI is available. Campfires allowed in designated area if permitted by Fire Dept. Between October 15 to May 15 a burn permit is required. Permits are free, Owner can obtain for you. Located 1/2 mile down the road is an entrance to Doe Mountain Recreation Area. ATV rentals available or bring your own. UTV and dirt bikes also allowed. ATV tours available at the entrance. Other nearby activities and amenities include: Johnson County TN County Airport - 10 minutes away Enterprise car rental in Boone NC. 26 miles away Lake Watauga boat ramp 10 miles away rentals at Lake Shore Marina Damascus Virginia 20 mile scenic drive from our property following Laurel Creek where you can find bike rentals and a shuttle for the Virginia Creeper Trail. Located along 1600 ft of the North Toe River, Buck Hill Campground is the perfect place for families to relax and play! The campground features 150 acres including a 1.5 mile hike to the top of Buck Hill Mountain with amazing views! The river is stocked with trout for fisherman and is also the perfect place to enjoy lazy rides in our river tube rentals. During the summer and fall months, we do "movies under the stars" with our huge 275" inflatable movie screen! We also offer a dedicated fiber wifi service that allows guests to surf/zoom/stream all over the property. We have 6 full service tiny home cabins (with full kitchens and bathroom inside) as well the budget minded camping cabins (with electricity but guests use the campground bath house as there is no plumbing inside). All our cabins have their own fire pit and picnic table. The campground also has a laundry room, Gathering Room (with a TV as well as a library of books, dvds, and board games) and a Pavilion area with tables for our guests to enjoy.
