I'm available to help you settle in or point you in the direction of whatever you're looking for in Durham! Our homestead's amenities include: Reliable solar and grid power, filtered running well water. Clean, fully enclosed, and ventilated outhouse with running water and a flushing toilet. Private, spacious, and HEATED bathhouse with a waterfall shower. 800 sq. ft. screened-in Army tent doubling as a lounge and workspace equipped with a library, desk, comfy seating, and even a full-sized pool table! Large common area with a fire pit, 10ft grill/smoker, and picnic area. We are 15 minutes from bustling downtown Durham, grocery stores, and shopping. 20 minutes from the state park, Falls Lake, and the Eno River. Just off two major highways. Breakfast, lesson/experience, and volunteer packages available! Pet and child-friendly!

I turned the home into The Fab 4 House, furnishing it with authentic Mid-century Modern furniture and naming each bedroom for 1 of the Beatles. I rent it out and it is great for events. However, I needed 1 bedroom accommodations so I purchased 3- 8'x40' shipping containers and turned them into tiny homes. You can rent 1 or all 3. The courtyard in the middle features a Tiki Bar, Beach Scene, Putting Green. I want people to enjoy the in and outside together.

The Cozy Hobbit House

We are a family owned horse farm managed by a USDF Bronze medalist where horses are boarded, trained with lessons given. The Hobbit House, as the name implies, is small and cozy and, if you really like each other, it can accommodate two. There is a double bed, a bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. In the kitchen there is a microwave, coffeemaker, and small fridge. It is supplied with dishes, silverware, cups, and there are condiments in the refrigerator. Outside there is a picnic table and charcoal grill. We are a 15 min. drive to the Weymouth Woods Nature Preserve that has several levels of trails ranging from inexperienced to experienced hikers. We are 5 min. away from the Carolina Horse Park, and 20 min. from Pinehurst, where there are renowned golf courses, and 15 min. away from the quaint Southern town of Southern Pines.
