1 night at Scott’s Lakeview Camp and Park

The lake is beautiful and saw turtles, frogs and was a lovely walk around the entire lake. Unfortunately, I have dogs that scare easily and Scott’s dogs visit the camping area, so I did not stay. But the property was gorgeous and Scott was easy to communicate with and gave me fresh eggs when I arrived.

My son and I had a great stay. He loved meeting the animals and had a nice relaxing stay. We had everything we needed on the premises to keep us entertained. He loved the cup of strawberry ice cream we bought at the farm store.

Rebecca was a kind, accommodating, patient host and it was a pleasure to stay on her cute little farm. Definitely would recommend, literally not a single bad thing to say about my experience, thanks Rebecca!!

Such a lovely site! It was quiet, private, spacious, and pretty. The hosts were super easy to communicate with (and very helpfully provide advice before we booked on which site might be the best fit for our family) and they made check-in easy. We’ll definitely be coming back!

My daughters and I had a great trip. They loved wading through the creek and catching crawdads and minnows with their net. Even had a mother, turkey and little babies come through.

The hosts were very helpful and communicated great. The site is beautiful and our 4 kids (7-13) all loved it. The river is fun, but bring water shoes because the bottom is rocky. Definitely would go again!

What an awesome property, and wonderful hosts. Lots of space to spread out, disc golf baskets on site, a pond for fishing, not missing anything for a great weekend outdoors. Will go back for sure

Site 5 was a nice secluded area where we could relax and enjoy the day. The lake had some good fishing spots and we enjoyed making a bonfire at our campsite. Would recommend to anyone who wants to leave the stress of the city for a few days

Beautiful farm, we loved the tractor shed campsite! Our kids loved the animals, our friends popped by for food around the fire, and Rebecca was a gracious and communicative host. We would stay here again!

We so enjoyed our stay on Wes’s property! Between us we had four kids ages 5 and under and they had so much to entertain themselves. We loved hanging out under the huge oak tree, using the tree swing, visiting the animals (especially the baby pigs!), and going for walks. Wes was easy to get ahold of and we had everything we needed!

Love this spot. Kids had the opportunity to see pigs, hold a lamb, see a donkey and we all enjoyed great music on the venue after Saturday at Saxapahaw. Will definitely come back again.

We were absolutely amazed by the expansive beauty of the property! Evelyn was incredibly kind and accommodating, and it’s clear she has invested a lot of thought into ensuring her guests have a memorable experience. We took advantage of the RV hookup site, which had everything we could possibly need throughout our stay. One of our favorite moments was spotting a charming family of deer one morning! We can’t wait to return and explore the water activities next time. 😊

We fell in love with this beautiful property where we plan to build our eco-friendly, off-grid homestead and farm. Lee's favorite song and the inspiration behind our name is "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary. A land of whimsical imagination, beauty and maybe a dragon or three is our shared vision for the farm. The camping options are flexible, ranging from prepared campsites along both Little and Deep creeks with composting outhouses nearby, to "Camper's Choice" options where you may hike in or drive in and create your own camping experience. Please note that since the "Camper's Choice" options allow freedom to select hike-in or drive-in options, the exact distance to nearest outhouse may vary. There are 144 acres to explore so campers can set up a secluded getaway or cluster together in a group. We are flexible and can work with you to create a camping experience that suits your needs. Learn more about this land: Honah Lee Farms has over 140 acres of woods with open fields distributed throughout. We are bordered to the south by the Flat River, to the west by Deep Creek, and to the north by Little Creek. Most of our campsites are nestled in the trees along one of these bodies of water and all campers have access to the 10 foot waterfall area where Deep Creek runs into the Flat River.

The Saxapahaw Country Club is a beautiful 31-acre working farm and event space. Located just a few minutes from Saxapahaw Village, it's a convenient and gorgeous place to stay. While we are happy to be a late-night crash spot for after shows at the Haw River Ballroom, we hope you stay a minute to walk the fields, hang in the hammocks, sit by the pond, or take a swing from the branches of our 200 year old White Oak tree. You'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. In front of the barn is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a fire pit, chairs, wood-fired grill, handwashing station, and farm table. The shared outhouse/composting toilet is next to the pine stand with a white roof. Please note, this farm stay is an agritourism activity subject to the limit of liabilities as described in N.C.G.S § 99E‑32(b). We have sheep and pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. You are welcome to look but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats. Pork and lamb from the farm is available for purchase, as well as kiln-dried firewood. Nearby activities: Entertainment: Catch big acts at the nearby Haw River Ballroom venue or enjoy free live music at Saturdays in Saxapahaw. Shop vintage, records, VHS and more at Saxy-a-Go-Go.
