I have to say, I was coming to stay alone with my 4 yr old, and I was so scared and nervous on my way there. Im from South Florida, so this isnt normal roads to me. Anyways all the bad was going thru my head, I arrived all overwelmed exhausted, and anxious. As soon as I met Liz, I felt a weight off my chest, and I knew I would be fine. Tom and Liz were amazing, I felt like I was with my grandparents after a few days. <3 My little one was petting the horses everyday, she would go up to them freely. Amazing place to be surrounded by animals. I look forward to returning again.

Saxapahaw Country Club has everything you need and more to help create a wonderful stay. Wes and Caitlin are a gift and a gem and they've turned their dreams and visions into reality and it's been beautiful to watch. I really enjoyed my experience with my family. Everything was clean and well kept. Even with summer, mosquitos weren't rampant. They have 3 or 4 other units on the property and they're all well spaced out. The tent was a great condition. The kitchen included a small fridge and a small coffee maker and some mugs, plates, and bowls. The game room was a lifesaver. Our dog enjoyed her time as well as she got to run around the property to explore. She's good about being called and coming to us, but for others, I'd recommend really knowing your dog because the property isn't fenced in and they could just run off into the woods. Plenty of shaded areas. The game room was a lifesaver because it had room for us to just lounge around and play games and watch TV. Don't judge, we chose glamping this time for a reason! Lol the long swing was fun. We also found a full size corn hole set, ax throwing (plastic), and as much ice as you could need for your stay. It was a wonderful time. The only BIG thing you should consider is how much there is to do in the immediate area (not much). So either plan to stay on property the whole time you're here, or be sure everything is at a reasonable distance. This is a great spot to just get away.

The bathroom and The Alice were both clean. Due to its location, wooded area, there were a lot of bugs (spiders, roaches, etc) inside both. That was expected but disturbing. The “game room” on the property was really nice and had games and a tv for movie night. We would definitely return.
However, non of us were ever able to connect to the WiFi. Even at the game room. So that was disappointing since one of us looked forward to working on a novel. But in general, we had a great time.
Also, we were able to communicate via the App if there were any issues.

Enjoyed my 4 night stay at Idlewild Farm. Michelle is a wonderful host and made me feel right at home from the first minute after arrival. The pads are plenty big and easy to back onto. As a single traveler, I felt very safe.

We love the Tent that we stayed in. We are lucky that it was only us who were staying in the whole place that day. The place is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We had our dinner in their bbq station and we enjoyed it! A lot of activities around to enjoy. We will definitely be back next time and will bring more friends to stay!

My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway and we couldn't have found a better place. Sean is an amazing host and the property is a perfect retreat. The well maintained trails are perfect for exploring and an afternoon float on the lake was just what the doctor ordered! We are already planning our next visit with the kids!

The lake is beautiful and saw turtles, frogs and was a lovely walk around the entire lake. Unfortunately, I have dogs that scare easily and Scott’s dogs visit the camping area, so I did not stay. But the property was gorgeous and Scott was easy to communicate with and gave me fresh eggs when I arrived.

We have been RV camping for 21 years now and we just had the most amazing experience. The hosts are the most kind and caring people we have ever worked with. The sites were full, but they made us feel like we were the only ones there. My kids (and wife) loved being able to pet the donkeys and goats whenever they wanted to. What an awesome place to camp. They have a community fire pit with pre-split logs to use. This is a MUST experience. Thank you so much Michelle! You're amazing 🙌

This property was absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, and so peaceful. The owner was so kind and welcoming. No mosquitoes or ticks in sight. Very convenient drive to/from the carrboro area. Hope to stay here again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay! Lots of room for our three large dogs to run, we hiked the trails and they all swam in the pond. Very private and quiet- highly recommended!

This was awesome, it has all the great things about camping. Nice outdoor spaces, fire pits, big communal spaces, but without the 'roughing it' due to air conditioning, nice showers, etc. I'd have a hard time getting my wife to go camping but she'd do this all the time!

15 ft campervan
This was the second time we’ve stayed here and it was just as good as the first. We even got to see our dog friend again which was such a delight.
It’s a beautiful quiet property. Has a trash can by our campsite and a kitchen with a bathroom on the property that gives you everything you need. Our host Phillip was also super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re passing through.
