2 nights at Canopy Ridge Safari Tent

This was the perfect glamping experience. Cozy bedding, impeccable tent, and perfectly clean. We stayed in tent 1 and could not have been happier with all of our accomodations, the king bed was so comfortable, one of the best nights of sleep ever. Even during a major thunderstorm everything was cozy and dry. Highly recommend staying here anytime, can't wait till we come back again!

Pros- This place is peaceful. The view was mesmerizing. We really enjoy the pop up camper. The hosts were super responsive. They provided us with everything we needed to get to the site. The best part is that they have WIFI. Cons- Camp sites were way too close to each other. It was hard for us to turn on our music enough for all us to hear. All of our concentration was focused on trying to not be too loud. Since we didn’t want to disturb our neighboring sites. For those of you, who like the idea of Meet and Greet while enjoying the beautiful nature view, then this place is for you. The bathroom was super clean. It was good opportunity to get few steps in lol. But it was a little far to walk down in the middle of the night.

I loved my camp site at the Rest and Relax Retreat. I will definitely come back. The property was beautiful and secluded and still only 10 minutes from Blue Ridge. There was only a few other campsites along the creek so it felt very private. Very well equipped campsite- I really enjoyed swinging in the provided hammocks. Very clean indoor showers and bathrooms were a huge plus for camping also. Highly recommend!

This site was great! We had a good bit of rain during our stay so the cabin was a great place to stay dry. Even with the rain, the site wasn’t a muddy mess. Our first day there was dry and beautiful. Would definitely come back.

Kim was a charming hostess. She kept great communication throughout and showed us where everything was when we arrived. She was kind enough to gift us some fresh farm eggs! We hope to stay again for a longer period of time. The animals were wonderful and we absolutely loved our time with Shooter, the sweet guard dog who kept us company.

What a delight! John, Judah and family have made this property so wonderful to unwind in a serene setting. The supplied bathrooms were spacious with great temp/pressure. Judah was so helpful with recommendations and a generous fire bundle of only 7 bucks. We were by the very little creek ,but up on the hill the views were beautiful. We’d love to stay up there next time. If you want to be out of the hustle of tourism, but still accessible to this side of the park, this is great and the family earns it!

We really enjoyed the seclusion and the starry sky. It's so much better than an RV city. We really would have liked to use the firepit, since it was so beautiful outside, but due to an area wide burn ban, it wasn't possible. We will be back, to hike more of the many nearby trails.

Weekend Trip to The Rowdy Bear Off-Grid Glamping

If you’re thinking about going, do it!! This is one of the best HipCamps we have ever stayed at! Leslie was super communicative and helpful before our stay in answering all our questions and to make sure we had all the info we needed. The cabin was beautiful and the perfect mix of feeling connected with nature while also being close to towns for us to explore. While the cabin was a bit closer to the neighbors than we expected (still far but you could see the houses from the cabin), we ended up meeting a few of the neighbors. They were all super welcoming and told us not to hesitate to ask if we needed anything during gf our stay (plus they didn’t mind our dogs being off leash at all)! The cabin also had a few more things available than we expected like an electric coffee pot with coffee grounds, filters and mugs, all of which were a very welcome surprise. Also, the cabin is only 1:15min from Asheville so we spent a day there and had a blast exploring restaurants and breweries. The only thing I would recommend is to follow Leslie’s instructions to download directions to the cabin and any music you want to listen to before your trip since there is no service on the property. And make sure to bring plenty of water!! We had an amazing experience and could not have asked for a better weekend. We will definitely be back!!

I had a great time tent camping at this site! It was very convenient and in perfect proximity to the amenities that are advertised. I utilized the bathroom, shower and sink to clean my dishes and each surpassed my expectations. The WiFi was perfect for the short time I needed it and I would highly recommend staying here. Having extra firewood available for purchase was also an added perk! Thank you to the hosts who were so accommodating, generous and kind. If I am back in the area, I will stay here again!

So many cute options for staying at the Honeysuckle. Having the outdoor sink was exciting. The host called us on our way there and made sure we knew about the remoteness and having offline maps. It was a nice to have WiFi for planning our next day when our phones were in SOS. The bathroom and shower were clean and super nice to have when we woke up in the tent and saw the 37 degrees - it was an easy decision to change in there. Super friendly.

Fall in love with our secluded Off-Grid Cabin located in the Great Smoky Mountains. Wake up to the sounds of a babbling creek and beautiful mountain views, hike the Road to Nowhere, kayak the Little Tennesee River, cook hot dogs over an open fire, and then open the glass panel garage door and fall asleep under the most beautiful sky you will ever see. Rowdy Bear Highlights: • 12ft glass panel door that opens the cabin to nature • Queen Tempurpedic bed • Rain Captured Shower • Fire Pit The Space: The Rowdy Bear is an Off-Grid Cabin that is situated in the Great Smoky Mountains with easy access to both Bryson City and Franklin. The cabin itself was built using rough sawn wood acquired from a local sawmill. Many of the items used in the cabin came from local shops or antique stores. There is a 2000-watt Solar Generator in the cabin that can be used for lights, charging cell phones, and running the pump for the shower. The Solar Panels are enough to charge the Generator to 100% each day. Rainwater is used for showers. The gutter system on the cabin is used to catch rainwater. The downspout runs into a "First Flush Diverter", which allows any dust, dirt, or anything else that might land on the roof between the rainstorms to be diverted away from the water storage tank. The clean rainwater then fills the water storage tank. Be aware that Rainwater is fine for showers, but is not meant for drinking. Propane is connected to a space heater and the shower. The space heater is 17,000 BTUs, which is plenty for colder nights. The shower has an at-source water heater and can heat the water up to 120 degrees, which is more than enough for a hot shower. A porta potty is provided for bathroom purposes and is cleaned and restocked every Thursday. Pets are allowed! The following items are provided: 1. Linens 2. Towels 3. Outdoor table for food and drinks 13. Propane Torch for lighting fires Guest access The Rowdy Bear is situated on 2.5 acres of land. There is a large section cleared off where the cabin is located. There is plenty of room for the fire pit, vehicles, animals, and any outdoor games you might want to bring (cornhole). Both Bryson City and Franklin are fairly close to the cabin. Bryson City is approximately 20 minutes away, while Franklin is approximately 30 minutes away. Both towns offer great little downtown areas that have shopping and restaurants. Don't be afraid to try the food trucks, they have some of the best food. Bryson City has many trails for hiking such as the Road to nowhere, Noland Divide Trail, Three Waterfalls Loop (FYI: There are three waterfalls on this trail), and Deep Creek Waterfall Loop. The fishing in Bryson City is also great and the guided trips are very reasonably priced. I would suggest going in the morning and doing a float trip. Franklin is bigger and a little more spread out than Bryson city, but there are a lot of neat little stores and restaurants. I personally like going to the Currahee Brewing Company. Currahee is right on the river and is set up to host live bands and it gets pretty lively in the late afternoons and evenings on the weekends. Other things to note One of the things you would want to bring is a 1 lb propane bottle for the Torch that is provided. Using the torch to start a fire is much easier than kindling. The solar generator has enough power to run the small coffee pot if you don't want to use the percolator. The generator also has enough power to run hair dryers. The main thing you want to keep in mind is anything that uses a heating element will drain the battery quickly. Lanterns are provided If needed. Overall, you should be good to go, but it is something to keep in mind.

Amazing for stargazing- we have open sky and any exterior lights are red to maximize night vision. We have three nice goats that would love to meet and play with you in addition to the fireflies, deer, hummingbirds, cardinals, hawks, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, and bats for viewing. There is a 1/3 mile track in the pasture for walking and 1/2 mountain trail up to the ridge summit for on property movement. Nearby to world class river rafting, fishing, hiking, and tubing in the Smoky Mountains.

Our goal was to create a welcoming, cozy space using all locally sourced lumber, salvaged materials, antique furniture, thrifted finds, and repurposed items. ReWild sits on our 10 acre property which borders Cooper's Creek Wildlife Management area, 30,000 acres within the Chattahoochee National Forest. We have old logging roads and trails that lead directly into the NF where you can explore for hours without seeing another human. We are located within hiking distance of the Toccoa River which is great for fishing, tubing, kayaking and my favorite, paddle boarding. ReWild is surrounded by many well-know trails including the Appalachian trail, Benton McKaye, and Duncan Ridge as well as many unnamed, hidden gems. Our little community of Suches is quiet and quaint. We are about a 30 min drive from Blue Ridge and Blairsville and about 45 minutes to Dahlonega. If outdoor activites or just relaxing in cottage in the woods is your goal, ReWild is just the place.
